I have htc one m8 unlocked international version . whenever I turn on the LTE , it doesn't work . I just see H and i don't see any 4g sign .
My sim card is at&t . can you tell me what to do ?

I would do some research on your particular model device and make sure it has the LTE bands necessary for ATT in your area.

U should search the wiki for info on u phone the 3g bands then check wiki for att and tmobile 3g bands and see if u have a match. Probably u will get edge only but maybe u get lucky. Good luck

I have had my DHD for almost two years. I've mow come to canada for 2 month and was wondering how I can get TELUS aim card working.. no signal is found. It worked ok on multiple UK networks.
Do I need to do more than root. My phone?

It will work if its carrier unlocked. You just need to get a TELUS sim card at any telus in canada. Hspa speeds wont work though because European desire hd uses 1900/2100 MHz and here in north America is 850/1900 mhz.

I've tried it but no signal was found. It wouldn't connect. My brother thinks it could be hardware. Im using this milestone at the moment which works great on TELUS.

It's still not working, help would be great!
The APN settings seem to correct for TELUS, however, the only networks which show are Rogers Wireless. The phone still doesn't find TELUS when scanning for networks. Anyone have any idea's?
Could be as simple as the Sim card. Sometimes for what ever reason it just doesn't work and getting a new one helps.

It works fine in an older phone.
You should still try a new sim. Little example of what happend to me
I gave my sister my old iPhone.phone was fully unlocked. Her sim worked in her T-Mobile phone but not in the iPhone. My brothers tmo sim would work . We picked her up a new sim, problem gone
Doesn't seem to make a difference. I think it's to do with the Band Frequencies as I have a UK phone. Would it be because I'm on ICS at all? I've flashed a TELUS radio too which didn't help.
Well you would only be able to get 2g in north america. But now that I think about it I believe telus 2g is cdma then if so theirs nothing you can do
OK I looked it up and telus 2g is cdma. Somebody had told me this on xda a while back but its been so long I forgot about it. Unfortunately you can't use your dhd on telus,though their are other GSM providers

On ur dailpad press *#*#4636#*#* it will bring up the service menu choose phone information after that click menu button it will show several options choose the one on the top left corner(select radio band) set it to USA band n see if it works i m not 100 % sure but i think it will work. Just like my topic says I know u can take a verizon Iphone 5 and use a tmobile sim or any cdma phone that's factory unlocked and a global phone use a Gsm att or tmobile sim and you get 4g .But can you put a verizon lte sim in the tmobile note 2 and get service or data for that matter "KEEPIKG IN MIND" these are pentaband phones which supports other carriers 4g or lte. Or would our note 2 have to have cdma radio .
Anyone confirm this would work

3G won't work. Period. Verizon is CDMA while our phones are GSM.
LTE is a bit different though. In theory it should work but after Verizon actually starts deploying LTE on the AWS spectrum but I wouldn't hold my breath because you won't have voice or anything but data and very sporadic at best if it even works at all.

Why if i got 3G/HSDPA network on my HTC desire Z, i can´t get 3G/HSDPA data, just EDGE:crying:
-Carrier: Orange DO
-Android version: 4.4.2 KitKat
neither won´t connect in the stock firmaware. never connect 3G data. just EDGE, but my settings are in 3G, i don´t understand

What kind of ROM are you using?
i´m using cyanogenmod 11 2014-01-22 unofficial-vision, i tried with this command (*#*#4636#*#*) to change de base band frecuency and nothing.
Do you have a g2 or desirez, they use different frequencies. You can check with your carrier to see what bands you use and match this to gsm arena to see if its compatible

really i got a t-mobile g2 . and i compare the bands with mi actual carrier, but in the options i can select 2G/3G data, and i got 3G/WCDMA network select but no data, just EDGE.
So your carrier uses 1700 and 2100 bands?

If your carrier runs on the same frequencies as AT&T US does, you're not gonna have anything other than Edge data. I use them on a T-Mobile G2, which is how I know firsthand .
Okay all, I've got a T-Mobile M8 S-Off and Sim Unlocked using it on Straight Talk AT&T Sim. If I switch to LTE only I keep amazing 4G service but if I don't over half the time in the same area I'm on H. Any idea why this is? Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere that switches to H if the LTE goes below a certain strength? With my Nexus 5 I never lose it so I am wondering also since I can set it as 4g only and keep service (but can't call out on LTE only setting) All help is appreciated.

That's about a UK cable provider possibly getting service disrupted due to 4G rolling out? Not sure how that helps? Maybe wrong link?

Just to make sure we're on the same page here, are you using the *#*#4636#*#* menu? If so, which settings have you tried?
On my Sprint M7, we had a similar issue where it would work great with "LTE only" selected from the menu, but that would mean no calls or texts. "LTE, CDMA" would hold LTE longer than the default setting (CDMA + LTE/EvDo auto) and allow for calls/texts, but if we lost LTE, we'd be stuck with 1X data.
If you haven't yet, try the "LTE, WCDMA" setting.
