Hello
So i've been trying to install Gapps on my phone (mostly Google Play Store and Services, Gmail, etc...)
I've rooted my phone and installed SuperSU, and used ES Explorer to copy Gapps apk to system/app directory, but i get an error everytime and it won't copy (EROFS read only).
I want to install Gapps. Help me, i am new to this.
Download GApps Minimal 4.4.x, into recovery..flash gapps...but the setupwizard may not work..so you must backup the setupwizard ,after flashing gapps, change the setupwizard back...I do this and success...ps: you are best to use twrp recovery, because it have file manager,so you can change the setupwizard back.

What ROM are you using? You have 3 options as I see it:
1. Open the rom.zip file, look for the pico apk file... The .zip file for your rom contains ALL files needed to run the rom and the pico apk will be in there
2. An earier method would be to just reflash the rom, DO NOT erase any data if you want to keep your current data
3. Wipe all data and start from scratch << obviously not what you want to do

hi,
I have installed a cyanogenmod nightly and gapps two weeks ago. But,,, I was too fast, something went wrong with google accounts. I don't want any google app but the playstore. To the playstore I have got 3 other google apps that I don't want on my phone.
Now I'd made a new installation vers nightly 31.07.2013. I tried all the things with the rom manager like installing rom from sd card, installing with the wiping the system in the recovery system...
The rom and the new gapps zip files are in the download directory together.
AND... after wiping and new installation I must not install gapps. Playstore one other google app were ein the system without installation.
Why????
In the recovery system I find wiping and there is a something like format sd card.
What's the differnt between wiping and formatting?
Wgat I have to do do make a very clean installation.
In linux I have for example 2 partitions (three with the swap), system and data. while a new installation I will delete and format the system partition to have a clean installation.

I've installed the CyanogenMod 11.0 | KitKANG | PRE-ALPHA | v0.8 rom on my htc desire, but I can't install the google play store.
With GApps it isn't installed on my phone. And when I've installed the play store (4.5.10) manually by an .apk I've downloaded, I am getting the message 'google play store has stopped working'. Does anyone has the same problem with this rom? Or a possible fix for this problem.
thx

So you installed the gapps but they won't appear?
Use a file explorer to navigate to system/app. Are the gapps there? Do they have rw-r--r-- permissions?
How did you partition your sd-card? Do you use a partition?

gapps won't appear in system/app.
First tried with the zip that is provided with the rom. Then google play services is installed, but not the play store.
I've also tried other gapps: CM11 and gapps from beanstalk rom. Then no apps are installed.
I've partitioned my sdcard: ext4 1024mb
I've used the following sequence for the installation:
wipe cache/dalvik
wipe battery stats
wipe data/factory reset
flash rom
install a2sd
flash gapps
My first installation I flashed the rom en gapps directly. At the first start I had low memory message, but I managed to install a2sd.
But I tought that gapps was not correctly installed due to the low memory.
Or do I have to completely format the sdcard => repartition ext4?
any luck resolving this?
I got the same problem...

Hi.
In my case... (if you do this way, It's your own risk)
Rooted device
1. integrate update (use titanium backup)
2. reboot
3. change to user app (use titanium backup)
4. reboot
then no error was happened.
I don't know why. But In my case, This way fixed the problem.
Cheers.
I downloaded the Leneage Os 14.1 and i used Gapps mini (it worked alright). But the next day i installed a game, i found out that the phone had an error so i decided to flash the rom again. But each time i install rom, there would be errors like Google play store stopped working, calendar has stopped working, Google play services keeps on stopping and more!!!. Then i downloaded the Gapps aroma (due to my storage i cant install the full set), i selected the apps i want to install but it still displays the same errors. i even downloaded octos but my phine keeps on giving me such errors. [the setup guide is not even working.
Can anyone help me with this issue?
Are you installing from internal or external storage?

I tried both
User recovery to perform a full wipe before installing the ROM.
