*** Hi everyone, I am starting this threat and try to gather all info. that I have about these great Asus phones. If you have Asus Zenfone 5 (Intel only) and Zenfone 6, then this threat is for you. Please note that this threat DO NOT SUPPORT Zenfone 4 and DO NOT SUPPORT Zenfone 5 LTE.
*** If you have CN Asus and the firmware is CN 1.14 and below, DO NOT upgrade to 1.15 and 1.16 if you want to convert to WW firmware. WW firmware is the only firmware that contains the Google Apps, and do not have Chinese apps. But if you have CN 1.15 and CN 1.16 and you want WW firmware, then you have to downgrade your firmware back to at least 1.14. If you have 1.14 or lower CN, To convert firmware from CN to WW, simply download WW firmware, extract the file zip inside , then rename the file by replacing WW to CN, then you are good to go.
*** Asus Zenfone5 all firmware and software: http://support.asus.com/download.as...=ASUS ZenFone 5&os=&hashedid=96nqlxHp1VKV4Rdz (choose Android OS for FW and driver)
*** Asus Zenfone6 all firmware and software: http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=ASUS+ZenFone+6&p=39&s=1 (choose Android OS for FW and driver)
*** How to enter droidboot: Phone must be turned off first. Press only power button, after 2 seconds still holding power button and now hold the volume up, when the ASUS logo shows, release the power button while still holding the volume up 5 seconds. Now enter droidboot.
*** How to enter recovery directly without go through droidboot: Phone must be turned off first. Press only power button, after 2 seconds still holding power button and now hold the volume down, when the ASUS logo shows, release the power button while still holding the volume down 5 seconds, Now you see android logo with belly up. Still holding the volume down, now press volume up (1 or 2 times), you are now in recovery.
*** Root for Zenfone: TURN OFF DATA, TURN OFF WIFI. TURN ON AIRPLANE
Download the file RootZenFone-1.2r.apk below, install it, then open app, choose first option SuperSU. When it finished, restart the phone. ENJOY! (The DEMO should show up, DO NOT TOUCH anything, just restart the phone!)
UPDATED: root 1.3r was out. ALSO BOTH NOT WORKING ON FW 1.17
*** How to fix the DEMO in case of accident: This is also do factory reset, so all data will be lost.
A. Factory reset, if not try B.
B. Get into the demo main screen (Padfone infinity), hold the back button on the screen for more than 15 seconds(bottom left of 3 button: back, home, recent apps) until the box shows up, type in 741603 and confirm! This is also do factory reset, so all data will be lost.
*** Install Xposed: Root is a MUST. USB debug turned on. Windows only and Driver for Intel and ASUS must be ready on PC.
Step1: download xposed apk and install the apk. DO NOT RUN APP AND DO NOT INSTALL FRAMEWORK.
Step2: Run command promt (Run / cmd). assume adb folder is on C:\ drive and you are now in C:\ADB
Step3: Type following (or copy and paste)
adb devices (make sure your phone show!)
adb shell (hit Enter)
su (hit Enter, then look on your phone and touch OK)
echo 148 > /data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/conf/jit_reset_offset (hit Enter)
chmod 664 /data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/conf/jit_reset_offset (hit Enter)
Step4: Now go to app drawer and run Xposed which you installed earlier. Touch "Framework" and touch "Install/Update"
DONE. Now install addons.

Absolutely safe.
1. Just download the WW 1.16
2. extract the .zip file inside the downloaded.
3. Check droidboot to see you phone SKU is CN or WW. If it is WW then NO need to change the WW to CN, upgrade directly.
hi, i wrote you in the other thread:
I have ZF5 with:
ASUS_T00F_WW_user_1.13.40.51_20140601 release-keys 010175_201401130121
Bought from aliexpress, the line in Droidboot says:
Product: CN_A500CG
Just wanted to inform you that I tried to sideload the ROM 1.16 - both with original name and changed WW to CN. Didnt work in both cases (because im tryin to install WW version on CN SKU). I will try to do it with your tutorial ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54451457&postcount=21 ), and refer back.

U cant flash the from from CN to WW in v15/16 cause they already write a sript to checking your sku in your device build.prop.. if you editing the script thats will make the rom signature broken. theres 2 way to trying, first editng your build.prop change sku CN to WW or using v14 (this version haven't sku verification). iam away from pc canot show u the script

Nice work here! Why don't developers cheer up to make an AOSP ROM? I've seen kernel sources in Asus and Intel's webpages

Then try to upgrade to CN 1.14 first, then download 1.14 WW and change its name ww to CN, then upgrade that file, your phone device sku then should also be changed from CN to WW permanent, then you can officially upgrade to higher version of WW without any problem, without changing name also. It happened on my phone. (CN 1.15 ---> CN 1.14 ---> WW 1.14 --> WW 1.16)

thanks a lot man! ti´his did work - i flashed CN version 1.14, then WW version 1.14 over it (without renaming the update file from CN to WW). my SKU has changed to WW and then succesfully flashed to 1.16 WW
i was hoping this will solve my problem with 3G internet connection (almost 0 download speed), but no success at all so far

Who is your provider? If you are in US, remember, it is good for ATT (UMTS 850/1900) and part of T-Mobile (UMTS refarmed 1900). Not working for T-Mobile AWS (2100 is there, but 1700 is missing)
*** For note: the only DUAL SIM phones I found that 4G (non-LTE) work in US and price less than $300 are: Zenphone and MotoG XT-1033.

Very helpfull post. I was very much helped from your post. i use the items described in "how to optimize LOLLIPOP". For me it was very good someone to let me know wich app to be safely removed and wich can be freezed so the phone can work faster but without problems, so thank you for that list.
Second, 3C Toobox that you suggest is very powerfull as i saw and does alot of thinks others dont.
The App you are suggesting( Google, camera, FB, MX player) i have to report this
YOUTUBE, MX, GOOGLE CAMERA very easy downloaded and istalled and as you say they are very nice too.
Chrome and FB, allthough downloaded, was not able to install. Chrome cause the phone to reboot and nothing was installed. FB run the process succefully no in the end it says' app was not installed"
for Google keybord and Instagram downloading link is not working.
But all the other thing work out and i think my phone is in better contition now. For all your knowledges and efford to share it with us i would like to thenk you very much

All the links workin properly !
Don't use Adblocker on these sites
Remove chrome updates and do "clear data " and try links (if it does work remove entire chrome by 3C tool and install new version normally (not recommended !!! you may lose connection checking ability ) )
For FB I think there s no enough DPI but you can try.
For Google keyboard and Instagram try new links

yes i just check out and all links are working as mention above.
With adblocker disabled, there is no problem in the links. FB is actually DPI problem
Finally it's here! I'm waiting for this for one year. I will give you my feedback in the next week.

i 've been busy(tax season in my work) so i was not able to respond so far, but i wiil do so in next two days, i promise....
my comments about suggestions you made
As i have posted before, you have done a very good work, collecting all these tips and trick that really make our phone to work more smooth and fast. I followed all your suggestion and these are my observetions.
When i unistalled and freese all the apps and services you are suggesting, I noticed that the tablet is working 15-20% faster than before, so this is the first + for your project!
downloaded and tried to install all that you suggest. All are working very well except:
FB is not installing at all no matter what you do.( uninstall, clear data, reinstall it, etc)
Chrome i was not able to install x86, so i downloaded from Play and install new version. I am not fun of Chrome and for once again a realized how heavy load is this browser, i cant see why people are using it. XDA start page did 3 minutes to load, since Mozilla 10 seconds. Any way this is personal opinion .......
Instagramm cause me black screen on phone in the end of installation. I had to hold down power so the phone closes and restarting it. When came back Instagram is working very well !!!!
So the main problems are FB and Chrome for me.
I am using an APP I found here in XDA that compines FB - messenger -Twitter in on screen without heavy load phone you can give it a try if you want. The name is Slidechat and you can take it from Play for free
[APP][4.0+][v2.0]Slidechat http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-slidechat-t3382662
I hope i helped someone with these thought of mine.
The big value though are to ADBLOCKER effords who collected and tested all these things for us to find ready.
THANKS MATE @adblocker !!!!
thanks a lot for the guide, I'm trying to follow your instructions to root the device, but in the first step

when I start the device normally and connect it to PC it is detected fine and nothing is wrong.
any ideas?

Just got the phone bootloader unlocked (thanks to Wh1t3Rose for the guide) and now need to add the LTE bands from L24. Settings > About says the model is BND-AL10, however, HCU client says it's BND-L22 so a little confused. Can't find any fw in firmware finder for L22 so assuming AL10 is the right model.
Can I now safely use HuRUpdater to flash BND-L24C567CUSTC567D1B344 (8.0.0.344) FullOTA-MF on this device? Or I am missing some steps like rooting / installing TWRP etc.?
Another question - what TWRP to use with HuRUpdater? Would the first one from here work for 7x?
Thanks for any comments!

If you need to change model bands , it takes more than that.
If you do like that , the model number doesn't change and modem bands also stay the same. You will need to do what is referred to as "re-brand" which changes the oeminfo file , then flash the l24 full ota.
Changing the oeminfo. Makes bootloader lock again. But the same key is supposed to still work.
It can be easy to make brick during re-brand
. You should Study the bnd-hwota-eng script to understand the process.

Thanks mrmazak. Is this a viable option of getting L24 bands on AL10?
Found the L24 oeminfo here. Is there a way I can backup the oeminfo from my AL10 just in case I brick it
Maybe installing TWRP and taking a full backup is a better idea but can't find a TWRP img for AL10 Naugat :|

I will look at it tonight when I get home.
I had found good hwota tool with the re-brand script in it. I had to translate from russain and add L24 oeminfo but ithas been used successfully.
I will look at that linked oeminfo and compare to the one I put in the hwota tool.
A search on the 7x main page for "bnd hwota- eng" or similar should show the tool like.
If you don't find Ivan upload again.

Thanks again, mrmazak. I saw your post in the other thread while searching but wasn't sure if there is more up to date information or an alternate tool.
Is it possible to just add certain bands to a model without removing existing bands? The only bands of interest are LTE 12 and 17 that are missing in this. The person doesn't really care about Oreo or Nougat - as long as it works with AT&T
Thanks mrmazak for updating HWTOA. I'll try rebranding AL10 to L24 tomorrow. Don't see a way to just add new bands so rebranding L24 seems to be the only way for now.
BTW, I took a backup of Boot, OEMInfo, System and modem_fw partitions. For some reason backup of Data partition failed after multiple attempts (unable to find partition for path /system and createTarProcess() ended with error 255). Is Data partition important in this case? The phone has no real data or app installed anyway as it's not in use.
Another question - planning to use HWOTA7 since I have Nougat right now but downloaded BND-L24C567CUSTC567D1B344 (8.0.0.344) full OTA - is this ok? I can't find a Nougat version for L24C567.
I flashed from L21C10 to TL10,before that I saved 8 modem files with L21 to him and the emui tweaker from the phone, then I restored it,and I had 4G+,try so.

There is a nougat full it's. It is labeled for Oreo roll-back. But should work for you . It is found as 'bond' intead of 'bnd'. ( Wait, the rebrand script is looking for three files. I will try and adjust the script to not fault out with just two.)
And link is actually in the hwota thread as a downgrade package.
I do reupload most current hwota file yesterday. I found a bug when I did a downgrade. So I proof read through the files again and re-uploaded.
Also added link to bnd-hwota-eng to the guide thread.

Did you do this to rebrand the phone to support other LTE bands? Or just to get OTA updates keeping the same radios? Sounds like latter.

I have been looking at some ways to edit the script to make it automatically adjust if there is only 2 update files. And it will be easier to just manually edit the one script before you run it.
Add a "#" to the front of line 332 of hwota.sh.
"HWOTA_BND\HWOTA7_BND-eng\hwota.sh"
Need to just comment out the line with "$TARGET_UPDATE_DATA"
Code:

$ADB push $RECOVERY $RECOVERY_TMP
$ADB push $RECOVERY2 $RECOVERY2_TMP
$ADB shell "dd if=$RECOVERY_TMP of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/recovery bs=1048576"

Error for update_data_public.zip was expected and on close inspection I noticed there was an extra '.' in the name of update_all_hw.zip. It was update_all_hw..zip.
So, fixed it and put the phone in fastboot mode and re-ran update.bat. It installed recovery and asked me to put into TWRP. I tried but it never went to TWRP started installing the previously copied ZIP files. It took a while but after it restarted, it went to straight to Android (YAY!). Went to Settings > About and say the model as BND-L24 and build number System 5.1.0.98(07DV).
So far it seemed everything was fine - then I inserted the FreedomPop SIM (uses AT&T towers), added the fp.com.attz APN and restarted it - AND the same issue, can't see the carriers and 0 bars
The oeminfo was definitely installed as I see a lot more options in "preferred network mode" but selecting Global or LTE or anything else does nothing...
Since I am not able to boot into TWRP, I wonder if that's causing an issue. Every attempt to boot into TWRP goes into a screen showing "installing update" with 5% status. It eventually (after 10 minutes or so) boots into Nougat.
Gave up and started from scratch (after installing TWRP img mount manually) and it completed successfully (with expected error for the missing update_data_public.zip). Build number changed to BND-L24C567B150 so both zips were installed yet the problem remains the same - no cellular connectivity and settings > More > Mobile Network > Carrier remains disabled...

It’s just that the L21 is always 4G,and on the TL10 it goes to 3G,I switched from L21 to TL10 because of gestures, now I have 4G+ as well as on L21.

Good catch with the renamed file. You did right thing to start over, because that first build number was not correct.
As far as I know this should have changed the radio files (modem).
I will keep looking for other confirmed way to change the selected bands.

Thanks mrmazak. What could be the reason behind disabled option? Earlier with AL10, I could go inside and see AT&T listed but selecting that would not help as corresponding radios were not enabled in AL10.
Now, even if L24 radios are not properly installed / enabled, I should be able to go inside and see AT&T listed - makes me wonder if all the radios are now disabled.
Is there another way to check what radios are available in a phone by running some app?

Not sure about other ways to check the bands. There are playstore apps that will show what band you are connected to, but have not seen one that shows which ones you can connect to.
side note::: Funkyhuawei (paid service) says of there rebrand guide, that you must flash the new firmware at least 2 times. So maybe take the flash one more time.
some general questions about your problem.
On about phone screen, what is shown for 'baseband' ?
does the imei # number show?
are you installing sim into slot #1 ? (#2 does not support 4g)
did you verify freedom pop sim is activated? (tested in other device)
edit:
found few posts in some "rebranding" threads, that say what you want to do might not be possible.
They say on the software side it will have drivers for the correct bands. But he hardware may not suppport it.

There are 2 long numbers for the baseband - both start with 21C60B. Yes, both IMEIs show and are the same as before.
Yes, I always used the dedicated SIM slot as I have a micro-SD inserted for backup.

I am inclining towards this as well - possibly missing hardware
Now, how do I get back to AL10C675 (don't see a Nougat option in FW Finder) and original radio? HWOTA doesn't have C675 as option, it has C00. I do have the original custom.bin and oeminfo but how do I create a zip to install with TWRP?
So I just got this phone just for fun, it was 75 USD, and went straight to XDA to root it so i can remove some bloat etc. but holy moly i ended up have 10 tabs with different guides open, i have compiled what I did to get this phone rooted.
I want to thank everyone who made different threads about rooting and installing Magisk on this phone, i have read so many guides now so i cant remember their names!.
BUT THANK YOU!.
Let's get to it
Here is what I did for to unlock the bootloader, install magisk and root my Huawei P20 Lite ANE-LX1
First you need to install HiSuite: https://consumer.huawei.com/minisite/HiSuite_en/
and then install ADB and Fastboot drivers: https://dl.google.com/android/repository/platform-tools-latest-windows.zip
(extract the platform-tools folder to the root of your C: drive)
Plug in your phone and let it install drivers.
Then you need to downgrade your firmware to 146 using Dload method, as DCU Client can't read the bootloader unlock code on newer firmwares.
I used "Huawei P20 Lite ANE-L21 Anne-L21 8.0.0.146(C432) Firmware Android 8.0.0 EMUI 8.0.0 05014YXX androidhost.ru.zip" (https://androidhost.ru/6ti)
When finished downloading, open the zip file, open software and copy the folder "Dload" to the root of your EXTERNAL SD CARD, not internal storage!.
Now take your phone and "dial" *#*#2846579#*#* go to Software Upgrade -> SdCard Upgrade and click OK.
Your phone should now begin installing the old firmware, when the phone first boots up, dont set it up, turn it off and hold Volume up + Power and select Wipe Data/Factory Reset, Wipe Cache, and then reboot.
With the phone booted, enable USB Debugging (Settings > System > About Phone > version number > Tap it 7 times to become developer, AND click OEM-Unlock, then go to Settings > System > Developer Options > USB Debugging).
Now we need to buy 4 credits from DC-Unlocker (4 Euro) ( https://www.dc-unlocker.com/buy ) when you have 4 credits on your account, go and download https://hcu-client.com/download/hcu-client-v1-0-0-0287/ Password: hcu
extract the contents of the zip to a folder called HCU in the root of your C: drive
Open up HCU.exe, type in your username and password (check your mail, the info will be there).
Grab your phone and dial *#*#2846579#*#*, go to Background Settings -> USB Port Settings -> Manufacture Mode and press close.
Plug in your phone and let it install drivers.
Open up HCU client, select Unlock, and then Read Bootloader Code.
when you have the code, save it!
Turn off your phone
Hold volume down and power, now we are in fastboot mode.
Open CMD and write:
CD C:\platform-tools
fastboot oem unlock YOUR UNLOCK KEY HERE
Accept the stuff and unlock your bootloader, your phone will be factory reset, and all your data lost if you dont have a backup.
Turn the phone off and on again, set it up, and go to settings -> System -> System update, and update, mine was ANE-LX1 8.0.0.162(C432)
Now re-enable USB Debugging option in Developer Options.
install Magisk Manager (https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases/download/v18.0/Magisk-v18.0.zip)
Download patched_ramdisk.img (https://mega.nz/#!GWp1ia6R!xUcg_T_17v1ktlFQPq-Ujo4DRKfAg8E4-_k2J2zLO60)
and place it in the root of your phones internal storage
Open up Magisk Manager, press install -> install -> Patch Boot Image File -> find the patched_ramdisk.img and click OK.
Now open CMD and write:
CD C:\platform-tools>
adb pull /storage/emulated/0/download/patched_boot.img
Now you should have the patched_boot.img in your platform tools folder.
Turn off your phone, hold volume down and power to get to fastboot mode.
in CMD write:
CD C:\platform-tools>
fastboot flash ramdisk patched_boot.img
reboot your phone and check if magisk was installed correctly and check if you have root.
Hope this works for you!
Great guide. Just a tip instead of using cd C:\platform-tools you can shift+right click on the adb folder and click "open powershell here". Saves some time
Thank you for this, but I have a question about this part:
Then you need to downgrade your firmware to 146 using Dload method, as DCU Client can't read the bootloader unlock code on newer firmwares.

Mine is ANE-LX3, what would be the equivalent to 146 so that DC-unlocker can read it?
Yes, you just need to find a firmware for LX3, i dont think flashing a 64gb firmware on a 32gb device is smart.

Maybe you already know but I learned that you can just clic the address bar in a Windo(w)s system and write 'cmd' which is exactly the same as 'open a command prompt that starts in this very specific folder'.
E.g. in attachments.
Now I just want to know what firmware to downgrade to :/

Sweet thanks!.
Try and use this firmware:.

Using that as a reference I found one for my region I think (C69) that says:

Is this April FullOTA a safe security patch to work with DC-u?
ANE-LX3C69CUSTC69
An another one big question: I am in the believe that my P20 lite is Single-SIM. Does it matter if that FullOTA (or any ROM/Update.app/etc) says DUAL-SIM? Should I look for the oldest Single-SIM??? or a Dual-SIM file would work just fine?

If its single sim, you need a single sim firmware and just use a firmware under 150, you should be okay

what software are you running now?
Hii. I am ankit.
I have downloaded custom rom and twrp recovery.
Now i want to get back to stock rom and stock recovery in my phone.
And also wants to use official updates of phone's software.
Can anyone help?
1.Download the odin
2.Download rome orginal a50
Windows
The easiest way for Windows is to just use Odin. This is a nice tutorial on how to restore to stock with it.
Linux
If you use Linux and don't want to bother with trying to use something like Wine to run Odin, the following steps are for you.
Get the firmware
You can use something like updato.com, but from my experience it failed 2 separate 4 hour downloads, and the download speeds are abysmal, so I can't recommend.
I use samloader, the only caveat with it is that you can only get the latest firmware for a region (because Samsung only saves the latest one), you'll need to use something else for older versions.
1.1 Install samloader, following their instructions
1.2 Get your Model number, it should look something similar to GT-I8190N, if you don't know it, here is a link on how to find it (it's made for stock firmware, but it should still point you in the right direction)
1.3 Get your region (you might be able to install from any region, but I think it's safest if it's the region from which the phone is bought), here you can find a good list of available regions
1.4 Check the latest firmware version available. Use the following command, and replace the model and region with your values
Code:
$ samloader -m GT-I8190N -r BTU checkupdate
The output should be something like this:
Code:
I8190NXXAMJ2/I8190NBTUAMJ1/I8190NXXAMJ2/I8190NXXAMJ2
1.5 Download the firmware, whose name you got from step 1.4. Use the following command, again replacing the values with your own
Code:
$ samloader -m GT-I8190N -r BTU download -v I8190NXXAMJ2/I8190NBTUAMJ1/I8190NXXAMJ2/I8190NXXAMJ2 -O .
After it has finished downloading, the output should look something like this:
Code:
downloading GT-I8190N_BTU_1_20131118100230_9ae3yzkqmu_fac.zip.enc2
[################################] 10570/10570 - 00:02:02
1.6 Final step is to decrypt the downloaded firmware. To do so, use the following command, while again, changing your values. Important: after the -V, you put in a number, that number is dependent on the file you downloaded from step 1.5. If the file ends with .enc4, replace the number 2 with the number 4, if it ends with .enc2, leave it at 2.
Code:
$ samloader -m GT-I8190N -r BTU decrypt -v I8190NXXAMJ2/I8190NBTUAMJ1/I8190NXXAMJ2/I8190NXXAMJ2 -V 2 -i GT-I8190N_BTU_1_20131118100230_9ae3yzkqmu_fac.zip.enc2 -o GT-I8190N_BTU_1_20131118100230_9ae3yzkqmu_fac.zip
Unzip the firmware archive. You should do so in a new folder, as a lot of files will be extracted.
Code:
unzip GT-I8190N_BTU_1_20131118100230_9ae3yzkqmu_fac.zip
Extract the files from the files, you got in step 2 (yeah, there are archived files inside an archive). The following command does just that, you can simply copy-paste it
Code:
for file in *.tar.md5; do tar -xvf $file done
Finally, flash all of the resulting .img and .bin files. On how to find which file goes where, use these instructions. If you use Heimdall for flashing, in that link you can also instructions for it.

Updated with more compatible adb link!
This is what I did to get the new beta. Feel free to tell me how dumb I am for allowing noobies to try the beta, but the more the merrier and they should know the risks....
RISKS: Phone may not be as stable as before and you will lose all your apps and data. Camera is bugged for me
1. BACK UP YOUR CURRENT BUILD USING SMART SWITCH. THIS WILL WIPE DALVIK/CACHE/DATA. Get SmartSwitch for PC HERE
2. Download Samsung Drivers for ADB/ODIN HERE
3. If you are on firmware ending in AUI5 for the CSC version XAA then skip to step #6 . If you are not, then download the respective firmware HERE
Also Download Patched ODIN (Patched version will be less scrutinous) HERE
4. Unzip the firmware you just downloaded as well as the Patched Odin. Run ODIN and add the BL, AP, CP, Home_CSC from the unzipped firmware to the corresponding locations in ODIN
5. Turn off phone and boot into "Download Mode" by first holding Volume +/- buttons and then hold the Power button. Now plug in your phone to your PC and you will see the first small grey square in the upper left side of ODIN turn light blue (if it does not, you have issues with either the cable or drivers).
Proceed in flashing the device by simply clicking the "Start" button.
Once it is done and your phone has rebooted... Make sure that you complete the setup process just in case of authentication issues if the phone isn't already set up
6. Download the OneUI 4 Beta HERE and then follow the guide to install adb https://www.xda-developers.com/install-adb-windows-macos-linux/
7. Follow the XDA adb install guide and make sure to allow adb systemwide when asked by the program.
8. Turn off phone. Boot into device by holding Volume Up and then holding Power. This will take you into recovery mode, where you will see the option to "update via ADB sideload".
Use the volume down key to navigate down to that option and press power to initiate the adb sideload function
9. Open command prompt by pressing the Windows key and typing "cmd" (no quotes) and press ENTER.
10. Type into the command prompt (of course remove the quotes) "adb sideload C:\path\to\your\oneui4\zip\file" . For example if I download that file into my Downloads folder, I would then type "adb sideload C:\Users\MyPC\Downloads\949981470b3948c3aa05a19e8a2edbd3.zip"

This is for US Fold 3 models f926U/1. Sorry brotha. Basically you need to change the beta file you downloaded to this http://fota-secure-dn.ospserver.net...48:16&px-unum=&px-nb=UGtezEZ854jbmFcvWGxLEA== as well as flash AUJ7 firmware first. I hear UK with CSC BTE works fine. Get it at https://samfw.com/firmware/SM-F926B/BTE/F926BXXU1AUJ7 . After you replaced those files, just follow the instructions again
Thanks for this Guide. But i have issue with Adb sideload update.zip
I downgrade to AUI5 and been using XAA firmware since i bought T-mobile Zfold3.
And since beta was released, I'd been trying to register for OneUI4 in Samsung Memeber app but No Banner or under rBenefit tab.
So saw your guide here and tried to followed your direction but adb sideload fails i get CANNOT READ message.
when i typed adb Devices it shows my device so adb is working but cannot sideload.
when i downloaded the update it was .bin 949981470b3948c3aa05a19e8a2edbd3.bin so i renamed it to .zip, i got the CANNOT READ message then renamed it to update.zip still the same Cannot Read.
I am using windows 11.
Haven't logged in to XDA in years. Just wanted to say THANK YOU.

Don't rename the file.
What I always do with adb related stuff is put it in the root of my C drive. So it would be
Code:
C:\adb\platform-tools\
Then put the .bin file in here as well.
After that open cmd and do
Code:
cd C:\adb\platform-tools\
and hit enter.
After that do adb sideload 94 and hit tab so it should autofill the name of the update file.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks for the instructions as they worked for me. I did receive an error before it finished at "(~94%) adb: failed to read command: No error". Phone booted and the system is showing One UI version 4.0, Android Version 12.
QUESTION though. What is up with the difference in Baseband version? I am seeing the official release having the last 2 digits of "JF" but on the phone just flashed, it is showing "JH".
For reference, complete Baseband version: F929U1UEU1ZUJH after flashing. Might just be my ignorance but thought I would ask.
Thoughts? And thank you again!

The baseband is just something that gets updated, so ZUJH is the Android 12 beta firmware. Every time you update your firmware the baseband gets updated as well.
More technical: Baseband is firmware that controls all radio devices on the phone, including GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, cellular data, and more.
Will this work on att Galaxy fold 3 since I can't get update cause att blocks it.

Make sure that you complete the setup process just in case of authentication issues if the phone isn't already set up
6. Download the OneUI 4 Beta HERE and then download the "15 Second ADB Installer" HERE
7. Install the 15 second adb installer and make sure to allow adb systemwide when asked by the program.

Is there a mirror for the beta download anywhere? It looks like the link isn't working for me.

thank you so much...
I updated my SM-F926U1 with the Beta 4 its really buggy for me
Just want to get my facts straight. Can I just flash back to non-beta ?
What will happen to my Beta status will I still be able to OTA update when the next beta comes out ?
I have updated this with the newer adb binary install guide. I use the latest binaries from Android Studio and add them to path manually so I didnt know the 15 second installer was that outdated
Also yes you can downgrade by flashing the AUI5 that I posted in the guide

I thought you can't flash a previous version of Android once you're on the higher version?
