I bought a touch for E989 but it doesn't work. Maybe if i change the ROM it can work?
And where can i buy the correct touch for E989??? Asking in Amazon and Ebay sellers says they doesn't work with E989 (Brasil)

I can see parts for e980 easily. Check of touch/ digitizer of e989 is compatible with e980 or not.

that is the problem, o don't have the least idea if this is compatible with another model or nort.

Mate, a hardware issue cannot be solved by software..if you buy the wrong digitizer, no ROM can make it work.
Having said that, i don't think you should have any problem using a e980 digitizer on an e989 or for that matter any g pro variant.. In any case you don't have much choice so better to take the chance for a working phone.. Just my opinion

Hi, I've got a problem with my brand new Optimus G. We bought two Optimus G, and one of the two has a problem with the HOME and options ley. They do not react to the touch. On the other hand, the BACK key work. Does anybody have a solution for thism or should I send it back to the shop?

Unfortunately we bought it through ebay and the seller doesn't addmit returns once opened. I guess we will have to contact LG.

Hey Angie,
Have had my F240S for about a month. I am in Ireland. Wonderful phone. You will probably have the dual clock on the lock screen but there is a fix on that on here and I would recommend rooting the phone.

Thanks Patrick, nice to know there's someone else out there. I've looked at the rooting method, I'll enjoy it for a couple of days and then have a go. I've been told there are a few Korean apps that will be useless to me so it would seem an inevitable thing to do. So used to using odin and Sammobile to do updates for my current phone that I think it's going to be a bit of a learning curve.

Yeah i use a korean version
Simply root it using the simple method listed at Optimus forums then use titanium backup to remove the korean apps you don't want

I need to replace the LCD/digitizer, a quich search on ebay showing a lot for D800/801 model . Some said it s compatible with LS980, some said no . So, do we have different or same part/size ?
From what I read when I bought my replacement only the verizion G2 has the same screen as the LS 980. The seller was clear about being sure what variant you have before purchase.

Yah, i see VS 980 and LS 980 compatible. Btw, you got a 2 seperate pieces ( digitizer and LCD ) or one piece fused together ? My LCD is still good, but not sure if I m able to seperate them .
It was all one piece and I think it's only sold that way. YouTube has some good tutorials on the tear down and It definitely was a adventure cracking open a $700 phone.

Yes, VS 980 and LS 980 are the same screen, I just replaced mine a couple of wees ago.
Just in case some one looks this up. They are all compatible. Between 2 ls980 and 4 d801/803 and 2 d800 all lcds worked with any board. And a vs980 LCD that was wrongly bought for one of these...

Yup. Only ones incompatible if I remember correctly are d802/805.

I wouldn't risk it. I had to replace a screen in the past and as I searched for the best deals 802/805 were always listed as incompatible. I can't recall correctly but I think I saw some differences when browsing for screens.

I see what you mean. The digitizer conector is indeed different. But the LCDs should work. But definitely buy the correct digitizer/screen for the d802/805.

Be careful this isn't always true I bought one for a D800 and it didn't work in my LS980. There has to be some variation on the way they are making these LCDs. Just a heads up. I'm in the process of replacing my display. I would make sure that it specifically says your model on the listing where you buy it from. Hope this will save you money and be less disappointing.:good:
Be careful also, I don't know if this makes a difference. If your display is jdi or lgd.
Does the D855 3/32 come with Qi charging? I have not seen any mentions of the international version having/not having it. Also if it does not have Qi, is there a list of models that come with it in the 3/32 configuration? Has anyone gotten the LTE to work in the US with the D855?

I also bought mine in Russia and received the wireless charger as a free gift.
I'm probably going to order one soon, my F400S which I just fixed after a soft brick fell off my balcony yesterday , and well its no longer in one piece... :crying: I'm looking at getting a replacement but, since I have to get another one I might as well find one with qi built in. I'm stuck using my wifes old Note 3 until I can get a new G3.

I don't really care if it comes with a qi charger as long as it had the capabilities I.e. 4 contacts on the back panel as opposed to 2.

check video the branded korean has only nfc out of the box (in this case) my european has both
I had the F400S and it only had NFC, but since its dead now I need to replace it and I wanted to get one with qi hence the d855. I'm just wondering if all of the d855's come with it.

I'm from Pakistan I have the Korean version as well but if there's any market or a guy you know who fix these kinds of problems first take advice from him before shipping it to Korea.
