I remember reading a while ago that in Kitkat the album art of what I am currently playing should display on the lock screen, full screen. But for me it isn't doing, whether I use spotify or google play music.
I do get a small "widget" with basic music controls and a small thumbnail of the album art but I thought it was supposed to be full screen.
HTC One (M8) EE not been rooted and standard out of the box firmware etc.

Hello,
This is a dumb question, to the Desire's owners. Does the media player gives you notifications in the notifications bar ? For example when the media player is sent to background and still playing ? Are there any controls there to pause or stop the music ?
Does the controls resides also on the lock screen ?
What I'm searching is a similar functionality compared to Galaxy S.
Thanks for the answers !
The music player stays up in the notifications bar, plays in the background (like every Android media player :-D) and gives you controls on the lock-screen.
Hello everyone,
I'm trying to watch a 4:3 mkv, but I can't find a player that hides the system bar (the black bar at the bottom of the screen).
Because 4:3 is limited by vertical space rather than horizontal space, this is more than a distraction. The bar takes up a sizable portion of the screen.
So far I've tried MX Player, Mobo Player, and Dice Player. I looked through their settings and didn't find a way to do this. Videos played through the native player are allowed to use the entire screen, but I've never converted a file with subtitles before. My first three Handbrake attempts have ended in failure, so now I'm experimenting with the subtitle settings and retrying.
MX Player has announced that this functionality will be added in the next update (source), but for the time being I would like to find a player that does this.
BSPlayer will hide the top notification bar and the bottom soft buttons, but it's not always 100%. You'll sometimes have to re-pause and play to make sure it disappears if you're fiddling with brightness/volume.

BSPlayer does appear to get rid of the bar, but strangely the video is the same size as before.
Instead of filling the freed up space, the player seems to be splitting the height of the bar between the top and bottom margins and letterboxing the video, leaving the same amount of dead screen.
I've tried restarting the program and toggling the interface, but this is happening every time the bar disappears.
I've taken two screenshots. One without the bar and one with. See what I mean?
Try the App GestureControl

Hello fellow moto 360 users, I seem to be having a minor issue with the music control feature on my moto 360, it seems if the phone screen is/was on, the information on the watch displays correctly, i can see album art, track info and a pause button, however if I have the screen off and the song changes I can see everything except the album art, anyone know a possible workaround or fix? I'm currently using the latest version of poweramp as my player on my galaxy s3 which is running cm11m10
I embedded some high quality album cover art for my music yet when it displays on the lockscreen the quality is still decreased. Also any image above 3mb doesn't show up at all. This is all using the default music player. Is there a fix for this?
Hello,
Just moved from IOS and I am missing the lock screen media controls (volume slider, album artwork, playback slider)
Is there an option or a mod that I can install to enable this? I am currently using apple music as my media player, as I have a subscription.
Thank you

Hi,
The only way I got it is by tapping the title from the control, then it shows itself.
