Hello everyone,
I'm trying to watch a 4:3 mkv, but I can't find a player that hides the system bar (the black bar at the bottom of the screen).
Because 4:3 is limited by vertical space rather than horizontal space, this is more than a distraction. The bar takes up a sizable portion of the screen.
So far I've tried MX Player, Mobo Player, and Dice Player. I looked through their settings and didn't find a way to do this. Videos played through the native player are allowed to use the entire screen, but I've never converted a file with subtitles before. My first three Handbrake attempts have ended in failure, so now I'm experimenting with the subtitle settings and retrying.
MX Player has announced that this functionality will be added in the next update (source), but for the time being I would like to find a player that does this.
BSPlayer will hide the top notification bar and the bottom soft buttons, but it's not always 100%. You'll sometimes have to re-pause and play to make sure it disappears if you're fiddling with brightness/volume.

BSPlayer does appear to get rid of the bar, but strangely the video is the same size as before.
Instead of filling the freed up space, the player seems to be splitting the height of the bar between the top and bottom margins and letterboxing the video, leaving the same amount of dead screen.
I've tried restarting the program and toggling the interface, but this is happening every time the bar disappears.
I've taken two screenshots. One without the bar and one with. See what I mean?
Try the App GestureControl

We have all these great roms, but...
I watch a lot of streaming flash videos on my phone (SC2 tournaments, youtube etc). Screens beautiful except for that ANNOYING STATUSBAR
IT WONT GO AWAY ON FULLSCREEN.
Anyone know how to get rid of it? I'm using Launcher Pro with autohide Statusbar, but it still showing when watching fullscreen flash.
Netflix is fine.
i hate being reminded how much time im wasting watching porn...
but seriously... it is annoying...
When I watch any kind of video on this tablet, its never full screen because of the buttons(home, multitasking, back, notification). Is there a way that it will disappear during a video and the video will take up its space?

there is deff a way, but that only way is too be rooted. then get the app gesture control. i bought full version, well worth it. theres other ways i believe if rooted. i always remove the status bar while watching a movie or using a full screen app. Also with gesture control ur able to make custom gestures to activate all the buttons from status bar (since its hidden) plus alot more, updated frequently
Does anybody using Netflix have the enlarge/full screen button on the bottom right side of their Nexus 7 while watching videos in Netflix? Every tablet I have had, which means nearly every popular tablet made, has had the ability to expand 4:3 videos to full screen ( a necessity on smaller 7" - 8" screens if you ask me) via a small button (four opposed arrows pointing diagonally) located next to the total video time on the lower right portion of the screen.
For some reason, it is missing on the Nexus 7 for me in both stock or PA roms. I have tried changing the DPI & the resolution, but no matter what I do, the enlarge/full screen soft button just won't appear while watching Netflix.
Anybody have a fix for this? Anybody have that button showing? Try playing a 4:3 video like Star Trek DS9 on your N7 & let me know if you have an expand screen button in your Netflix app.
So. Long story short because of the lack of cassette widgets and such with functionalities with Spotify. (Media Utilities didnt fix the only cassette app to work for me sadly)
I've basically a cassette widget with the spotify widget itself over the top to make it seem like it's the top of the cassette (if that makes sense? Meh specifics!)
Ideally what I wanted to do was have the spinners in the middle (which are on a seperate bitmap than the cassette tape itself) to slowly rotate if (Media Utilities detects spotify playing). I've ran some tests and it does understand when spotify plays and stops as it does indeed rotate. Which alone is fantastic, however. I can't seem to get it to repeat the command, it does it once, and then the spinners don't move. I'm unsure if there is a repeat command in Zooper? Or I need some fancy equation to do so. But my code thus far is as follows
Code:
$#MU_CURR_PACKAGE#=1[r]4[/r]$
If anyone could take a quick peek I'd be very greatful, thank you!
You could play around with some progress bars. I would make three of them, setting each of them up to be 120 degrees difference, so that all three together would look like a 3 sided star. then set the width and heights so they don't touch in the middle. Then take two rectangles and round them out. Place one in the center and one on the outside edge of the 3 progress bars. Next, put this variable in the "edit progress min/max/value" section of your progress bars... #TMU_TRACK_PERC# with min being 0 and max at 100. you will now have a 3 spoked cassette wheel.
Hello everyone,
I did some searches on this and all I can find is i have to pinch the screen to zoom, problem is with apps like youtube and hulu the zoom cuts off the top or bottom of the video.
Is there a way to get fullscreen without cutting off the video?
I went into settings and fullscreen display but no apps display in there
