Does anyone know what this function does in the special menu? I am trying to find the feature that eliminates the screen calibrating once turned on with a small flicker.
I have tried these two steps without luck. http://www.phonearena.com/news/How-...-visibility-of-the-LG-G3-without-root_id58888
Thanks

this stops the brightness lowering when phone is overheated there should be an option called dynamic lcd refresh on/off

No, this has nothing to do with the thermal protection. That option is called completely differently.

it is called thermal migition deamon so it probably had something to do with that
it has something to do with fps and/or refresh rates.
maybe the fw or sw senses when to use 60fps graphic inensive tasks and lower it during light tasks.

adjustment sensitivity (in cm11 under display setting ) controls the screen sensitivity for touch or the sensitivity of sensor for automatic brightness?
It is the setting for automatic brightness.

Are you completely sure of that?
As i've written in the cm11 development thread i've got some problems with screen.
Some times react as having water drops on screen.
I don't know if it is a coincidence but after setting sensitivity to very low in these 2 days this problem happened only 2 times...
I´m really sure that it is the setting for auto-brightness. And i have never heard about such a setting in CM to change the sensibility of the touch screen. But i had those issues of "ghost fingers" too and a thorougly cleaned screen did the job - some soap, clean dry firmly.
Do you have a screen protector on the display? Maybe remove it if yes.
And it might also be a hardware related problem...

Hi. I got an issue with screen backlight while playing a YouTube video or a Facebook video or any video even if it is from the gallery, while playing a video the screen's backlight keeps going dimmer and lighter, even if i turned the smart backlight feature on or off!
I saw that a member here confirmed that this issue has gone by updating system to b125, but I confirm that this issue is still exist with me!
Please help, what can I do now?

Already disabled Smart Backlight feature, but how can I disable Pulse notification light? and How it could be involved in such an issue?!
Any suggestions?
If you're as annoyed as I am by the fact that the minimal auto-brightness level is set even in fairly bright rooms and you would like to adjust it, then I have a simple tool for you. Just start it, enter your desired adjustment level (0-255) and click OK. My app will set the brightness immediately, and also every time the screen turns on (this is required because the adjustment does not seem to stick for very long).
You can download the latest version along with the source code here: My GitHub
Works great. Any effect on battery that you can speak of?
Sent from my OnePlus 5
It shouldn't have any effect on battery life. It shows 0% used on my phone in the last 48h.
Hey... Thanks for your app. It's definitely working. I'm not 100% sure what it does though... Does it set the lowest possible autobrightness level, and then the automatic adjustment takes over from there? Can you explain a bit more?

Let's say the auto brightness sets a brightness level "x" normally. If you adjust the auto brightness in my tool then the brightness will be set to "x + whatever you put in my tool" instead.

Thanks for that explanation.
So, then something funny is going on. At the moment, it's full sunshine out and using your app is making the screen dimmer. I've set the app to '50', and when I turn the phone on, the screen dims and I have to toggle autobrightness off and on again to reset it to full brightness. I'm not sure whether I'm using it wrong, or it's a bug?

Edit... Further observations:
When conditions would mean full brightness on autobrightness, it feels like the screen is SUBTRACTING the amount I put into the app. Does that make sense?
Not sure what's causing it for you, it's working fine on my phone. Sometimes it gets bugged and it goes from full brightness to zero again, but that's because the setting does not seem to stick for very long, I just have to lock and unlock the phone and it works fine. It shouldn't be subtracting from the brightness though.

I'll try a very high number to make it really obvious if it's working or not
I've posted an update. I noticed the brightness adjustment resets very often so I've added a functionality to set the adjustment every 2 seconds while the screen is on. It shouldn't have any effect on the battery as it barely uses any CPU (less than 20 second in the course of a whole day).

Works fine except when you want the maximum brightness, for me it won't let me use max brightness unless there's much light and it activates itself
In the changelog for 4.5.11 is says they improved autobrightness. Has any of you noticed this? Do you still need this mod, or do you just need the update...?
In the 4.5.11 seems works a lot better than before, but still far froms iOS perfection, anyway give it a try!
Tried it on OOS5. It stops working afther I change the brightness manually. Brighness goes to 0 afther unlock.
Good Solution
Thanks for providing this minimal app, I just discovered it & it works great. Better than Lux Lite shall I say (my previous solution)
Does this work with Android in general or is it just for the OnePlus?
I have the same problem with a user in a previous post.
It does work as the minimum brightness according to the value I set, but also limits the maximum brightness.
For some reason I never get it.
Only if I set 255 in the app.
Im not sure if these watches have auto brightness but im assuming they dont as there is nothing for that in the settings.
So what I did is with tasker and autowear i wrote a task that looks at my phone brightness every time the screen turns on and off and adjusts the wathc brightness to the same +15% (as it was a tad dark)
Anyone using a different way of auto adjusting the brightness?
Attached it
So i set some minimum values for watch brightness which is 50
also when i set my watch birghtness same as phone it was a bit dark so i added 10* in the one formula where it says *1.1
you will have to play with it
I created a action so it will run when screen turns on or off
HW2 has auto brightness, test with put it under a lamp

I've tried to do the same but couldn't get it to work because my tasker skills are lacking. Please share your tasker profile and task(s).

Thanks for the task but shouldn't there be a profile to go with it? I'm not sure, but I think if you export the profile instead, the associated tasks get exported with it.
Hey Guys,
So something very annoying I've noticed so far since owning this phone. I could have it laying on the table/counter, whatever. I have lift to wake and any other motion related setting to turn the screen on disabled, however, if I so much as nudge my phone while it's sitting the screen will always wake. Does this happen to anyone else? Is there some other hidden setting I've yet to disable and need to? Is it a glitch or something? Appreciate any ideas or suggestions.
Thanks!
You are not the only one observing this behavior. I believe it's a software glitch. It's has been mentioned on other forums as well.
I don't think it's a glitch. People have said the "fix" is to turn off fingerprint option. So I'm thinking it's actually a feature to turn on the screen so it's ready for your finger print. It's different than lift to wake because it only shows the Always On Display. Lift to wake, goes past the Always On Display and to the lock screen. I've tested it in my pocket and it's stays fully off.

There is doze_quick_pickup_gesture option that you can set via adb. Just setup adb shell (google how to do it if you don't have it), then enable developer options on your phone (google it too), then connect your phone to your PC and execute this command in the shell:
shell settings put secure doze_quick_pickup_gesture 0
It worked for me! Borrowed from here:

Interesting. I noticed that my AOD is always on, even though I have set it to be disabled when charging.
Maybe Adaptive Sound has something to do with that? 'Cuz I enabled that.

Yes i think its a bug when adaptive sound is on and it hears loud sounds, ot turns the screen on. Just try banging the desk or hitting two spoons when near your phone with adaptive sound on and off... The screen lights up when its ON bit doesn't when its off
I am having just the opposite effect. I lift my phone and nothing happens. I have to click my power button for it to go on sometimes.
If you refer to Lift to check BLACK SCREEN It is a feature for easy to use fingerprint so that very helpful for me

The screen turns on when I lift the phone. (Black and white lock screen.) "Lift to wake" and "Tap to Check" are both off.
