Hello, I heard that Office for Android will be out later this year. Is Microsoft Office Mobile in the Play Store the one? Is it fully compatible with the PC and Mac versions of Office? Is it easy to send/receive files between an Android device and the PC/Mac? If so, perhaps we don't need Hancom Office nor Office Suite Pro?

Well that's even better then cheers.
From what I heard the Microsoft Office for Android version will only be able to save if you have a registered account, as if saves only to the cloud.
Hancom is part of the 500 quid worth of extra's that you get with this device. Look in Galaxy apps on the device, not Google Play.
If Microsoft Office for Android is 100% compatible with Office for PC and Mac, it may be worth getting it.

I don't use outlook and when deciding on an alternative was looking for something which would allow me to Sync with Win Mobile.
I now use Thunderbird which has e-mail, tasks and calendar ( http://www.mozilla.org/support/thunderbird/ ) and have found this free programme for syncing to my device - http://www.finchsync.com/.
Easy to install and setup and works a treat.

I am using it with WM5 and the latest IMate ROM.
Couldn't get on with finchsync, everytime it said that it had updated my contacts, when clearly it hadn't... Birdiesync worked first time, was fast, and did a very sweet job of carrying out its intended task .

This has the advantage over Finchsync in that it sync automatically with activesync, but at the time of writing it does not deal with the calendar, which to me is more important.
I have never had a problem with it not updating contacts, it always works for me, and $19.95 is not worth it for just contacts.
It may be worth reconsidering if they release a calendar update that works.
I am using it with Windows Mobile 5.
how do you compare Finchsync to Outlook?
Ok ok..srry for the titel but I wanted to make you curious..
ok..This is what I found..
I know there are alot cooked-wm6 roms..but non of them are official (for as far as I know )

I know this is about a smartphone-wm6 version, but do you think, there will soon be releases of wm6-ppc-versions? *official?*

cingular promised to release wm6 upgrades officially for the 8525, blackjack, and treo 750 by summer time 07.
I want some sort of software where I can take notes for the dAsh... are there any that are already out?
If you have Microsoft Onenote for your PC you can always put Onenote Mobile on... It doesn't have very many features but is pretty ok and syncs with your desktop well.
you can get one of the 6.1 variants which all include OneNote mobile.

When did they say that? I wouldn't be too shocked to see them actually update "my phone" with a new version that works with "Windows Phone Live". At least I hope they do. The back-end is likely extremely similar. Mostly just new UI and branding. Shoot, all the URLs they're using are still "myphone.microsoft.com"
myphone is liked to your live account so it wont be a problem as windows phone live (as the name suggests) will also limk to your live account.

ms wont stop myphone.. as it comes pre-installed in stock roms of 6.5 and 6.5.3.... it would embaras ms if customer buys a handset, and is asked on the myphone to get updated to the win phone live!! window phone live is a myphone only for windows phone 7.. windows phone live is a markettin strategy of ms for WINDOWS PHONE 7. they are willing to a give.. ah.. 25gb of space for file transferring, which is not in myphone.
myphone may get later updated for windows phone live... but quite later
It's just a name change + a 25gb free skydrive. Why do you complain about being given free features and upgraded cloud-space?
Actually, I'm looking forward to LiveMyPhone to be hacked to WM-non7 phones. I'm using MyPhone since beta stage and it always worked flawlessly, got evolved with new functions and now it's getting Skydrive-powered-25GB online storage... I want that now!
EDIT: they say you can even erase/locate your cell from remote for free (now you pay for that feats)... suck it, MobileMe! XD
Maybe the GPS will be good enough so that if I loose my phone in my house I can tell what room it is in xD. I'm excited about the 25GB transfer limit this will be great if we start having hacked roms and can get all of our files from the cloud upon loading a new ROM. If new ROM's will even be nessicary anymore of course.
There is a known Microsoft problem (they acknowledge it, but don't pretend to be working on it) that WinMo 6.5 will not sync with Outlook 2010 64 bit through WMDC.
Does anyone know of a solution or workaround?
Thanks

Use x86 version instead. There is no longer support for WM devices or services.

Thanks a lot for the response.
You helped me on another thread also!
I'm under the impression I would have to change the entire Office Suite to x86 - is that so? I'm nervous to do anything directly to Office because I bought my laptop with it preinstalled and don't know if I can reinstall it if I have a problem.
I was wondering if there is either another program I could sync with. Also perhaps there is something online I could sync with and then sync my outlook to that.
Thanks

I'd check to see if it is installed in the C:\Program Files (x86) folder first. Occasionally it is also installed there as well for compatibility. If not, then You might want to look into other syncing solutions.
