[Q] G Pro F240K problem after rooting - LG Optimus G Pro

Hi, Noob here, need urgent help.
I bought a g pro F240k a few days ago and was having signal problem and i read that changing the ROM may help.
I have done rooting and swapping ROMs before, but right now I have a problem, I rooted my phone successfully and then when i tried installing custom recovery, my phone no longer reads my memory card, it gives the option to mount the card but it fails to mount.
And another problem was that SuperSU is no longer working, it literally fails to open.
This is my primary phone so urgent help is needed.
EDIT: The SuperSU somehow fixed itself, working fine now, I succeeded in installing a recovery, but im still facing the problem with ext sd card. The recovery can read my Ext SD card but the OS fails to do so, still gives me option to mount but doesnt do so.

[Q] Trouble with ClockworkMod

I have a T-Mobile G2, rooted with s-off. When I try to flash a ROM in zip form via ClockworkMod 3.0.2.4 I am confronted with an "Installation Aborted" message. On top of this problem, I cannot get back to my previous ROM (Cyanogenmod 7.0.3), getting stuck on the HTC screen as the phone is booting. I got rid of my original 8 gb SD card and put in another 8 gb one thinking it would solve my problems, then toyed with SD partitioning in ClockworkMod, which then led to this issue. Before both of these problems my GPS had stopped working and my data and wifi connection speeds had been drastically reduced (to the point of being useless) when I made the upgrade from the last Cyanogenmod release candidate to 7.0.0 stable. Are there any solutions to this problem, or is my phone pretty much bricked? Please help.
you are not bricked you still can get into recovery, i suggest try to relfash he recovery via fastboot adn format the sdcard again/or try a new sdcard the try to flash new rom or use a nandroid
Ok thanks ill give that a try.
Worked. Thanks!
no problem glad you got things working again

Issues with Custom Rom

Hey everyone,
I used to use an HTC Sensation, and I recently replaced it with a Note 2 but I never came across this problem.
Every time I try to install a custom rom, I'm somehow stuck in the middle of nowhere, and my phone doesn't move past the 'Samsung Galaxy Note 2'-screen. I thought it may be related to the rom but that was apparently not the problem (i tried OMEGA and MIUI), as it is apparently working fine on other Korean devices.
So I was wondering if someone knows how to get rid of this issue.
The way I flash the rom is as follows:
- Enter recovery
- Factory reset/reset data
- Flash rom
- reboot
I even did a factory reset after flashing a rom, but that doesn't help either. I also tried both storage, the external SD card and the internal storage t.
Thank you

PLEASE HELP. ROMs not installling properly.

I fall into weird problem. Once I unlocked bootloader and installed custom rom. But when I revert back to stock I lost my 3G. I tried flashing ROMs to get it solved but I failed. It was 5-6 month ago.
Recently, I again flashed custom ROM because stock was too slow. After flashing CM9-KangBang ROM, which, I thought would be good as it was mentioned stable. I found SD card not mounted but 3G worked magically which didn't happened for other custom ROMS. Weird problem is I couldn't install any ROM after that. Because after connecting via usb my computer says, "USB DEVICE NOT RECOGNIZED". So I couldn't install kernel which is required after flashing ROM. Another problem is when I install Ignorance ROM, which doesn't require installing kernel separately, also not working after boot. Stuck on boot animation.
I don't know what to do. Can't find my way. My mobile is off for 3 days. Now its urgent for me to make it run.
Please help me. I never felt so helpless like this because somehow I solved my problem.
N.B - I tried flashing ROM on other computer but same result. USB DEVICE NOT RECOGNIZED. Funny thing is CM9-KangBang works fine without SD card.

LG G3 D855: Problems after rooting (SD card, FM radio, Joyn service)

Hi all
I just got a new LG G3 from T-Mobile which came with Marshmallow (30b). I have inserted my 64GB external SD card from my previous G3 (its' display stopped working all of a sudden) and started to set up the new phone. All went quite well until I have rooted the phone following the steps in Root + TWRP Marshmallow D855 (30b).
Now I have a rooted phone with TWRP, which is good, of course. But I think during this process the original kernel has been replaced by another one, is this right?
1st problem now is the 64GB external SD card which is not usable any more, even after formatting it through the phone itself. I have inserted another 12GB card and this is working as expected. The 64GB card is working normally in a card reader.
2nd problem is that the FM radio app stopped working. It is only giving strange messages like "Mock: RADIO_ON", "Mock: UNMUTE", "Mock: TUNE" and so on without playing anything at all. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the radio, no success.
3rd problem is the annoying Joyn (RCS) service. I can disable it in the settings. But after a reboot it is turned on again.
I am not sure about the 3rd problem but the first two may be very well related to a kernel lacking support for the big SD card and the radio HW, right?
Any suggestions how to solve these?
Can I flash another kernel without losing TWRP and root again? If so, which one?
(Is there a Marshmallow custom ROM with the original camera and FM radio support? This I can find out by myself of course)
Thanks and regards,
xrig
Had the exact same problem. I have the international model G3 32 GB variant which I purchased 2 weeks ago. It worked good till I rooted it. FM radio kept coming up with mock & couldn't get any functionality of the radio, tried rebooting, taking out the battery & didn't work. What solved this problem was downloading the 30b global Marshmallow rom & flashing it. FM worked perfectly, even after rooting & had no issues. I'd recommend flashing the 30b rom with a complete wipe.

Thank you very much for the suggestion. Did you use the above rooting method again after flashing the global stock rom? And can you use exFAT on your external SD card? It seems that Hacer Permisivo is breaking the exFAT support.
What global 30b did you actually use, the kdz corresponding to your IMEI from devtester.ro?
Maybe a custom kernel or ROM will fix your problems, and also formating your sdcard on fat32 will fix it.

Does Flashing ROM's causes damage to "motherboard"?

Hi to all Geeks, G3 lovers and developers,
I wanted to share this information and know what exactly went wrong with my phone.
Long back, My LG G3 D855 (32GB) was running Kitkat (v4.4). I used One click root to root my device. Auto REC Kitkat to Install recovery. Then i also Flashed CloudyG3 2.5. All were working fine.
Then i came to know about Fulmics ROM (may be v2.5). So flashed it. Everything was working fine.
After few Days.
I flashed Fulmics v5. (ALL ROMS I CLEAN WIPED i.e. wipe>Advanced wipe> wipe everything except internal and external memory). Problems Started from here. My device's memory card slot stopped working. It used to mount and umount frequently. Tried going back to older worked roms and stuff. Tried inserting other sd card. Tried formatting. NO USE at all.
After few days my device's screen started displaying lines, flashes lines, and finally display stopped working. I had to take it to service center and new motherboard was replaced. Now, phone has developed yellow tint on left hand side. Also running stock 6.0 v30E. :crying:
My question is,
1) Is there any solution to get rid of yellow spots on display? ( other than replacing a new one)
2) Did my motherboard fail due to flashing ROMS? Have you people experienced these issues?
3) I have heard twrp 2.7.8.x had mounting issues. Thats y i lost sd card mounting after flashing?
4) Will it happen again if i flash any other rom?
Or am i doing anything or any step collectively wrong?
PLZ anyone help me!!

It may be the LCD.
(Kind out of theme)
Personally my LCD had shown 2 or 3 dead pixels and the after a while it showed about 12 and it's visible to grey colour..
But give this a try.
Go to Google Play store and install "Dead Pixel test and fix"
Start the test and leave it for a about an hour.It may get rid of it for a while.. But i fully recommend to change the Screen.

I was having that problem with my t-mobile D851 on a stock MM 6.0 which I had rooted. The external SD card would not stay mounted and kept coming up with a corrupted file system. I tried both exfat and fat32 formats and long formatted under Windows (not the quick format). Also tried a different sdcard. I couldn't solve the problem. Then I installed CloudyG3 v2.5, but that didn't solve the problem either. Finally I went to Fulmics 6.6 and it's been without problem since.

Most likely to be a problem with the LCD.

I don't think so. Flashing excessively will take a toll on your motherboard flash memory, eventually after much flashing, but most people don't ever reach that point, the phone will probably get old and worn out before that happens.

3) I have heard twrp 2.7.8.x had mounting issues. Thats y i lost sd card mounting after flashing?

Not likely. I think that the most likely cause would be some incompatibility between the rom and the phone, or possibly the microSD socket, etc.
4) Will it happen again if i flash any other rom?
You may want to try Fulmics 6.6 / 6.7

Hi, When G3 had mounting issues, i tried going back to cloudyg3 2.5. Faced same mounting issues.
Then i had to take my G3 to the service centre. They said motherboard was damaged. They replaced it.
Now, after being on stock V30E 6.0 for a while.
I Rooted and flashed fulmics 6.7. Everything is working fine
But as you said, flashing it to fulmics 6.7, sd card worked fine. I could not do this cos at that point off time fulmics 6.7 wasn't released.
Now, strangely yellow tint has developed on left hand side of G3's display. I should deal with this now :fingers-crossed:
