How to put folders in app draw - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

In app drawer, go to menu at top right, View apps by > user customized. Then again, go to menu, edit/uninstall apps. Then you can drag the apps on to each other to make a new folder, and add apps to the folder.

Is it possible to sort all progarams list into folders?

I'd quite like a folder for games, a folder for travel apps, etc. is this possible?
it`s only possible to have folders on home screens (all 7 of them). Touch + sign, folders and new folder. Once you have a folder in the "desktop" long-press gives you the option to rename it.
Just drag icon in that folder.
Apps Organizer, this is awesome app to organise your apps into folder on your home screen, you can customise folder icon too.
But there is no way to sort apps in the menu in folders?!? This makes the menu quite unusable, if you have a lot of apps installed...
Is there maybe an app, which takes care of that?
Or is it possible to mod sense, so that the 3 Buttons on the bottom ("arrow up" "phone "+") could be changed?

Folders for LauncherPro ?

Is there an app that I can use to have folders inside launcher pro's app drawer, coz I want to group my apps and its a bit of a pain to look for it when your app list is growing on a regular basis.
I personally use folder organizer. it doesn't put folders within the app drawer but all you have to do is click on the app to access the folders. you can customize the folders and such. you can also put the folders as widgets onto your homescreen.

Good folders app?

So im looking for a folder app with these features:
-Custom icon size/coulmns
-And so it hides apps I already put in a folder so it's easier to organize.
I tried simi folders app but didn't hide apps I already had in a folder. Go launcher does hide the apps tho but i dont like that launcher.

What do you mean hide apps already in folder? When creating a different folder?

You could use Folder Organizer (the paid version). You get custom icons, but not a number of columns/rows. There is automatically a group called "Other Apps" - this groups all of the apps that aren't yet labelled. From the main screen you can go to labels > other apps, then assign labels to the apps inside the group. As the apps are labelled, the group gets smaller. There's also an option to receive a notification when a new app is installed. When you tap on the notification, it allows you to assign labels at that time. You can put folders in folders if you're super OCD like I am.
It doesn't have everything you asked for, but it's pretty awesome. There's a free version without custom icons for apps/shortcuts/bookmarks/contacts, but you still get custom icons for folders. I'd say try it out, if you want to buy the full version just export your settings from the free version & import them to the paid version.
EDIT: My spelling of labelled looks wrong, is it? "Labeled" looks even stranger though.
EDIT #2: While you can't specify columns/rows, there are multiple options for the look of the folder. You can also create a custom skin for the folder, with colors & transparency that you choose.
Ok thanks. And yes i meant when creating a new folder in don't want to see the other apps. So i dont have an app in multiple folders

[Q] Cleanest way to uninstall app?

So far I have been uninstalling apps by dragging the icon from my app drawer onto the homescreen with ADW EX launcher, and then long pressing the icon and selecting uninstall. That brought me to the uninstall screen where i proceeded to uninstall stuff.
However, I am worried that I will leave behind crap folders in the SD card; random leftover remnants that the uninstall failed to remove. I see a lot of folders in my sd card that belongs to apps i once had but no longer have.
Is there a 100% clean way of uninstall crap off of my phone?
just use a file manger from the market and delete the folders. I do not know of a way to get rid of the SD card contents AND the app at the same time though, sorry.
What i do is i pull open the app drawer, menu, remove app, tap the app, force stop, tap clear data, then uninstall.
That should do the trick i think

Click to collapse
Either that or Linda app manager. Linda file + app managers and must haves!
google "sd maid" its an app that clears out the files left behind by the uninstalled apps.
I would recommend using the "File Manager" and delete the folders upon uninstalling (or) Plug into your computer and clean your sdcard. I clean my sdcard every month to conserve a little memory. Just go through every folder and delete stuff you don't need.

[REQ] Long-press option to delete in lists

I would like to request a feature.
A long-press option to bring up a small window with the option to delete widgets in the SD Card list, Autosave list and the Configure widgets list.
That would make things a lot easier than using a file explorer.
Is this possible ?
