Hi all,
Just got my Note 2014 (SM-P600) a few days ago. Loving it so far.
One issue I have is with the Chrome browser. For a split second after switching tabs all of the site text and images are blurry.
Can any other users confirm if this is normal behavior?
Thanks,
Bailes
I have the same here. I think it is normal.
Hi all, I have a problem with Chrome. I'm using galaxy s5 and whenever I open the browser for the first time I get the message: Unable to access the network, but once I refresh the page it loads everything as it should. How do I fix it without having to constantly keep chrome in the RAM. Thanks

Does anyone else still use this? Seems like since 4.2.2 that it's annoyingly broken. It sends the same notification 2-3 times.. I just sent a link to my phone.. Got it, closed the notification. Put the phone down, and a few seconds later the same notification was pushed through. I then looked on my Nexus 10 and see the same notification was pushed 3 times.. I noticed this a few times earlier this week when I used it but just shrugged it off as a bug in the system and let it sit for a few days.. I've signed in, out etc.. Still does it.
That being said.. Anyone else seeing this behavior and can anyone recommend a similar app that works just as well, low memory footprint and doesn't keep the device awake?
I use the built-in tab autosync function of Chrome, if you're logged in both your PC and Nexus 4 on Chrome. You can open tabs that are open on your PC and vice versa.

*DOH*.. Thank you! I completely and utterly forgot about the chrome tab sync that is just seamless. "other devices".. That works perfectly and one less app on the phone too!
Thank you!
Chrome to Phone has been working fine for me. I personally use the AOSP browser so the other isn't an option

Strange.. I'm definitely not going crazy though.. A quick Google search shows this has been an off again on again issue since 2010.. I'm just going to uninstall it from all my stuff and use the Chrome sync.. Just got to change my habits.

Used it several devices ago but have recently been using Push Bullet. Let's you do the same thing but also keys you push other things such as files.

In the webkit browser, double tap to zoom intermittently stops working. There's no rhyme or reason. I noticed that it wasn't working in the display model in the store, then was elated to discover it working on the one I bought. The other day I noticed it wasn't working again. Then it worked the next time.
I can't find a pattern. The same web page will work one minute, then not the next. A reboot of the phone does not fix it.
Does anyone know what causes this or how to resolve it? It's obviously a bug that needs to be addressed, but I'm hoping for a workaround until we get an update.
I had asked this a while back. No fix. Even using other browsers isn't reliable. I hope they fix it soon. Is the sole reason I am using my gs4 more now. I browse a lot and need this working

I noticed that Dolphin does it, too, but double tap to zoom is reliable in Chrome. I just don't like how slow Chrome renders and there's no flash support.

I just got an Optimus LG Pro, and noticed the same problem in Dolphin browser.
Is there a solution for the problem without refreshing the ROM ?
So I finally jumped the gun and bought a UK LG G3 from Carphone Warehouse. I have to say I am very impressed with the phone and I am coming from SGS 4.
Three issues that I have encountered and was hoping someone can help -
1) Connecting to Wifi access point sometimes takes ages. Especially the first time. It goes from "connecting" to "saved" to "connecting". This was never an issue with my previous phone.
2) Gmail - Takes ages to open some emails. When I click on an email, it goes to the email screen but the screen is blank and it takes 15-20 seconds or more to bring the content. Again, I did a like for like comparison with my previous phone and there definitely seems to be an issue which I have not seen before.
3)Chrome - Sometimes chrome is very very slow in opening pages which open very fast on my previous phone. I am getting a lot of "webpage cannot be found".
Any help or insight into this would be great.
Cheers,
Vish

Are you using wifi or data when it does this

I thought this was a wifi issue too but I am having similar issues when using 4G data. Also, I tried speedtest and I was getting over 100MBps speed so internet speed on wifi was fine.
I thought maybe the issue is with CPU not coping sue to the QHD screen and was wondering if others had similar issues.

I have tried clearing the gmail cache and that seems to have made some difference. I will keep an eye.
I have also switched to Dolphin browser and that is so much faster.
Thanks

All,
Have any of you new G4 owners been experiencing ridiculously slow page loading times with the stock browser? My old GS3 loads web pages much faster in Chrome by comparison, as does my work iPhone. What gives?!
Thanks in advance!
Same here. With stock chrome it's lagging when i watch a movie on website.

Have you tried a different version of chrome like the beta, or my favorite right now, Chrome Dev?
I haven't tried any other versions of chrome...did notice that I wasn't even able to load a page at all while photos were uploading, wonder it has to do more with how it's handling data traffic.

I've noticed it also happens when using the "in app" browsers in Facebook or Twitter. I've also tried increasing the memory available to chrome using by typing in by changing maximum tiles for interest area to 512 to no avail.
I'm beginning to think this may be a wifi connection issue, even tho my wifi tests faster than the 4G connection. Pages are loading much more quickly over 4G.
Yes i think this is wifi related also... Same happens to me but only on wifi

It just seems to have problems loading web pages for me. Sometimes I will just get black squares but other times it just wont load. I will refresh and get nothing for awhile. I'm doing this at home where my Note 4 wasn't having a problem. Also doing this on cellular data. I doubt this is a network issue.

I did try chrome beta and Opera mini- opera was faster due to the data compression, but chrome beta was just as slow to load.

Root-Adaway problem solved tolpic closed xD
I've noticed insanely slow loading times using IPv6 over WiFi with some Comcast modems, so I rooted and disabled v6. Dunno if you guys are having the same issue, but it fixed my problems. Apps like Instagram were slow to load/refresh as well, though.

yup had this issue on my note 3, only improved on disabling adaway. so far its not occurred on my g4 using adaway so not even sure what triggers it.
Hello guys, a few months back I bought a Nexus 5x 32gb, since then I have switched back to my OPO a few times because of lag... Now I wanted to fix the the lag and wiped the cach partition. Apps are opening faster, even faster then the OPO! But webbrowsing is SLOW it takes about 20+ seconds to load cnn for example... I have treid differend browsers. Web browising is fluid on the OPO on the same wifi. Can anybody help me?

I don't visit CNN so I'll have to take your word on it, it have you updated your 5X to the March OTA, MHC19J? For me, Web browsing hasn't ever been a problem using Chrome Beta or Chrome Dev. I use ad blocking which enhances my experience though.

Went to another house, another wifi, works fine there... should have tested that before posting here ... Weird thing is that my dad's phone (moto style) works fine on the same wifi, will have to call "the internet guys" for that thanks !
It was pretty bad for me as well prior to the MHC19J update. Chrome has been noticeably more fluid since then.
