No, they haven't. Afaik, you'll never find any device which has the entire ram for user space stuff. There certainly is 1gb ram in our device but around 159mb is reserved for our hardware parts by the ION memory allocator in the kernel. The remaining memory (1024-159=865mb) is for the user. So in short, the user available ram is 865mb which is quite a lot. Our device has pretty good hardware so that's why it takes up on 159mb. My previous device (Xperia S) had a msm8260 SoC requires 380mb ram for running kitkat properly. Even with around 620mb user ram, kk would run quite well.

If you are are using stock Jelly bean [ Kitkat not tested yet] then this thread is helpful
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2800200
It overclocks cpu 1.6
Mean allow you to use use upto 1.6 ghz. Not heating or other problem. You can try it on kitkat at your own rick19.1.C.0.116.

You know quad core phone battery performance is better than single core so if we allow more cpu use mean less cpu use time result end good battery . overall 1.4ghz better perform in battery use too.

I have not any issues yet. I am a hard core user. Installed more than 40+ user apps.. But it shows around 350-380mb free when device is ideal. Where swift key [app] consumes 30MB.
#ram booster
#ram manger
Install following apps. They are very helpful.

[Q] Confused about my tmobile g2 processor

Friends i found some great games like modern combat, deer hunter etc in another forum, they shows links as snap dragon version then samsung galaxy s and other Cortex processors, desire hd, and xperia version, i am confused which one to download, bcoz specs of g2 shows it has scorpian 800mhz processor with adreno 205 gpu, but in desire z specs it shows it has 800mhz snapdragon processor, so correct game selection for desire z is simple, but which one to choose for tmobile g2?
You choose the same version you choose for the Desire Z, since the Tmobile G2 uses the same Processor and GPU. The chip is the Snapdragon Scorpion, where Scorpion refers to the application processor core. Some people call the CPU Scorpion others Snapdragon, it basically refers to the same thing.
As above, Snapdragon is the package (system on a chip) and Scorpion the core.

quad core... it will be dreaded to fail with 512mb RAM
The HTC One V is the smaller brother of HTC's 2012 flagship One X. Its 1GHz Qualcomm S2 single core processor and 512MB RAM place it in the low end of the smartphone scale. The One V has a 3.7" Super LCD2 display with a resolution of 480x800 and 252ppi. Other features include 4GB storage, microSD slot up to 32GB, 5MP camera and 720p video recording, all powered by a 1500mAh battery.
Another name for the processor could be 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255.

[Q] Is the Gnex faster than a quad core cortex a7?

Gnex has 1.2ghz dual core cortex a9 ti omap 1gb ram Powervrsgx540, 720p hd display
is the specs of the Gnex better than 1.2ghz quad core cortex a7 mediatek 1gb ram powervrsgx544,720p display
From the benchmark perspective, no it's not. Dual A9's usually equal to quad A7's in CPU power, while SGX544MP1 is obviously superior to SGX540. However, the bloatware those small manufacturers tend to put in those MTK devices will obviously slow the phone down. Words around the internet also say that although MT6589 is a quad A7 CPU, only 2 cores are used per normal task.
I suppose you're gonna buy a device - don't buy MTKs, there's usually no development for them, they may never get future Android upgrades even via flashing (because there's no custom ROM at all), meaning that your phone could be dead on arrival. Personal opinion so feel free to oppose.

[Q] Is the MediaTek MT6795T in M9+ Better Than SD 810?

What about PowerVR 6200 GPU vs Adreno 430?
A good question!
What's actually inside these processors...
Can't post outside link... Its (8) a53 processors clocked at 2.0ghz w/ powervr 6200
The 810 being (4)a53/(4)a57 big.LITTLE combo.
Long story short geekbench says the mediatek wins in multicore barely, but is smashed in single core, because it's a true octacore, but just a midrange one severely overclocked, with last generations gpu running the blinky flashy show.
this is all based on mt6795 not sure what the (t) means...

Last mediatek proccesors trully provide smoothness, the MTK6795T is just a flashy overclocked MTK6795, yes, it beats the SD810, even the snapdragron 805 beats the 810 in some devices, maybe is because the 810 throttles himself to the oblivion.
MediaTek SOC's are known to have crap embedded security.
Additionally if you think about the ways in which the big.LITTLE architecture works it makes a lot more logical sense than a makeup of 8 cores in a true octa-core setup.
M9+ is out, so we'll see

This. The Snapdragon has a much better GPU IMO. PowerVR is a bit crippled, I believe. But that's only if you're gaming heavily or using apps like Snapchat a lot (i have small issues with snapchat on my 551). Other than that I believe the Intel would do better considering the amount of development and support currently available (if it matters to you that is...). And SD cards are supported similarly in both.

PowerVR G6430 was used in iphone 5s too , and it is nearly twice faster than Adreno 405. Snap615 is ARM type, so it is better compatible with apps than Atom on Z551. Overall, i think Z551 is still a better choice
Thank you guys,
I think Intel Atom is faster, but it takes big part of ram which I saw in Ze551ml (only 300 to 400 my free) and in case of ze550kl have 3gb ram and snapdragon 6 series really knows to handle bettry life but some times it works like snail.
What to do guys!?
Pretty much ALL the reviews of the Zenfones with SD615 that I've seen have mentioned lag/stuttering and worse performance than rival devices on same chipset. On the other hand, the ZE551ML is often praised for its smooth performance. Personlly, there's nothing worse than stuttering performance. I'd take the ZE551ML over the Laser every day of the week!
Thanks @kanagawaben,
You are right Buddy but 3gb ram can't help with that.
Hello guys, I found moto g 3rd generation is good rival this competition. Should I go for that or Ze551ml is pure winner?

Is that so? Is this out of benchmarks? I personally find the PowerVR to be underpowered / unstable in daily usage.

This is not really true. Did you grow up with a windows computer? The way Android / Linux / Mac OS handles RAM is slightly different. Usage of RAM is actually a good thing. Linux runs on mostly cache and more cache means better performance. You should not worry about launching a RAM-hungry app because it would simply release the cache and dedicate all the RAM to that app. There's really no harm in having 400mb. Even when filling your RAM, it doesn't fill 2GB at the snap of a finger! Its a gradual process.. So once that 400MB starts getting filled, more and more cache would be released to accommodate. I don't know if I got the technicalities right.. but my bottom line is don't judge performance by the amount of free RAM.
Just FYI. My 16GB RAM in the MBP is almost always full (only about 1.5 GB remaining). And right now I'm just surfing the net.

Theoretically, no. 801 is quite an old processor and is more or less on par with the latest gen 600 series... like the 617. But the 810 is a curse. It overheats! And way I use the phone, if it overheats and gets throttled, I'm more likely to smash the phone than wait for it to cool down. There are upgraded versions of the 810 which are supposedly better. But I am not taking chances and as a marketer, I know what actually goes on behind the curtains.
So anyway, 801 is comparatively much underpowered and cheaper than the 810, but at least has no performance / heating / throttling issues and I get my money's worth. The OPX is cheaper than the OP2 but its more bang per buck.
