Hi there. I have a sgh-M919 SGS 4 and after the 4.4.2 upgrade ota, the wifi did not work and neither bluetooth. I reflasheado the phone and I have given a factory and still no change. I'm running stock rom FNB4. thanks any help
Sounds exactly what happened to mine... If you could get a log cat of trying to turn wifi on I could tell you.
Unfortunately if you're in the same boat, it's warranty time.

I'm having to burn through data on my phone because Wi-Fi isn't working since 4.2, is there some fix for it?
I'm on the cataclysm ROM.

Never had a problem with Wi-Fi, I'm on Eclipse build 3 with lean kernel. Try a different kernel or ROM.

Check out the thread myself and a few others need to turn off mobile data to get WiFi working, the developer knows about this bug,
Reflashing after a complete wipe has got it working as it should
I'm starting this thread to start a conversation that hopefully leads to a solution. Since updating to 4.3, Bluetooth has been wonky. It worked perfectly at first, but now it won't transmit any data. From searching, I can tell I'm not the only one with the issues, but no one wants to help the people who have pleaded for help.
Now, I will clarify that I am using two devices that use the apt-x profile. I have a Plantronics bt headset that does use this and I have a little more luck connecting with that.
The info I've found in searching is erratic at best, but no clear solution is stated. So, if you know a fix, let me/everyone know here. You can also share about roms where Bluetooth connections have been working for AT LEAST a week since everyone's bt works at first.
At the very least, subscribe to the topic if you can so that you can come back and share any progress or tips you might stumble on. Thanks.

I've been using the S3Rx 3.0 rom for almost a week without any Bluetooth issues. You can find it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2252932
I've noticed some volume variances when notifications come in, but nothing that would qualify as a malfunction.

Well, that rom had the same issues as the rest as of a few days ago.
Now trying the latest Intergalactic (4.1). May give Quantum a shot next.
I'll keep uploading this thread since it is getting plenty of views from folks who may be having the same issues or on the same search.

I am now certain there is either an app causing my issues (highly unlikely) or there is simply an issue with bluetooth on the 4.3 update (most likely). It has been a frustrating journey. I'm not sure what else to do at this point.
I am currently using my third Galaxy S3 (long story) and all have had the same issues with the 4.3 update. AT&T Next is looking more attractive these days.

Sounds like a bug in the Bluetooth stack. Did you do all the formats available? Sometimes past ROMs will mess with the WiFi and bluetooth stacks. I suggest a full format, including system and /data/data

First, I have searched for over an hour, the only thing I can find is issues with CM based 4.3 ROMs. My wife's phone is all factory 4.3 and when she comes home, it will not auto connect to wifi even though it is checked to do so. Anyone else have this issue and how was it resolved, I cannot figure this one out.
Thanks for your time.

Do you have developer mode activated?
Activate it and set USB to USB debug and try to connect your pc. See if 7 cdc still the same.

If flashing clean rom is an option then do it. Flash the rom that you are actually on. Stock rom. Clean install.
Edit : on your last try you made a mistake of flashing other model rom?

I'm out of ideas. Sorry. It's really weird that after once by mistake flashing wrong baseband, the phone keeps acting strange even after a clean install. ....

A few times a day when i leave work and come back or get home, my wifi wont automatically connect to the remembered wifi connection. Its not every time but it happens enough to irritate me. It connects if i turn wifi off and back on. But otherwise just scans. Im on stock rooted LP. Anyone else having this problem?

The only thing i can think of is when i first updated to 5.0 i used sqlite to hack wifi Hotspot . Thats when the problem started. At least thats when I noticed it. I have factory reset twice and tried flashing a stock rom but some problem.

Nobody else is having this problem?? No matter what im running it randomly does this. Can someone please take the time to help me figure this out???

I'm not having this problem on stock rooted OB7 Odex with deodex services.jar.
Are you avoiding the PRL and update data profile due to the temporary hotspot? Connections Optimizer disabled?
I didn't see that you tried this but have you backed-up internal memory keep-sakes (media, downloads and nandroids) and wiped it along with your factory resets?
With WiFi issues, I'd go one step further with factory reset, internal memory wipe a few times and battery pull prior to Odin of the OB7 stock tar. Treat it like a soft bricked phone; scrap and re-root.
Make sure you're not OE1; it's not possible to downgrade.
Maybe that covers some more items to check. Otherwise full un-root, back to stock and ##786# check hardware against stock un-rooted. Could be hardware.
