[Q] Network registration incomplete? - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Unrooted G3.
Couple of times a day, the phone says "Network registration incomplete. Please turn off and restart phone (15)". After the restart, all is fine.
Any ideas?

I'm getting this on LG G3 F460 with LG's official Marshmallow rom. Resetting factory settings didn't help. Have you managed to solve it?

Samsung i780 keep rebooting

I have got a new Samsung i780 from HongKong. It is brand new and is unlocked. When i put the sim and start, it starts normally first time and then when it reaches where it starts to search network, it shuts down and restarts. It keeps on happening. So i cant use the phone at all. This is what i did
1. I hard resetted the phone ---> Same problem.
2. I disabled the phone (flight mode) --> it works normally like a PDA
3. I have flashed the italian ROM (Complete) ---> it fails at 58%
PHONE-Waiting for erasing CODE area...
PHONE-Erasing CODE area complete...
PHONE-Writing failed at 58.
4. I loaded the phone part of PDXHL2 ROM - still keeps the loop of restart. what the heck i am clueless.
4. As its working normally when its in flight mode, i think its a radio issue. But not sure whether its hardware or software. Please help. I am very disapointed. By the way i am using this phone in MEXICO with a telcel SIM. for the 10 secs its showing the todays menu, i can see it has recognized the network and give full signal. But loop of rebooting continues. Please help.
Update to the problem
All. Additionally i tried putting the Russian ROM (Phone part). Now there is this new problem. The loop restart has stopped. Phone shows complete signal. But i am not receiving any call nor being able to make call. If i try making a call, nothing happens. i mean it keeps displaying dialing.... i cant even disconnect the call (anyway the call does not go through. Please help.

just wanted to remind everybody that those of use who went from NoDo to RTM had varied times for the updates, some people reported more than an hour at the boot logo until it continued. After two hours I'd say something is wrong.
A hard reset might bring it to back (loosing all info of course). That in fact worked for me in the first update state going from NoDo to 7661 beta. I thought I bricked my phone, but it came back after a cold boot/hard reset.

My phone was updating for collectively updating for three hours. At least two of those it was stuck on the boot screen. I've tried resetting it (holding both volume keys when turning it on) and nothing works. Microsoft's support page said to disconnect if it freezes..

a hard reset on mine worked by pushing down power button, camera button and both vol plus and minus at the same time while the phone booted. I unplugged the battery, plugged it back in and then get the timing right to push the buttons down. Good luck.
Dead HTC Surround..
In the same boat as others. Phone stuck between steps 8 & 9, no phone won't turn on at all. Hard reset won't work. Acts like the battery is completely dead and USB port doesn't work. No lights, no beeps.. dead. Ugh.
Never installed any hacks, ROMs etc. I was 100% normal updates. Very frustrating...
This was actually my third attempt to install the updates. Previous times it had froze I was able to do a hard reset and restore the backup.
Anyone have suggestions? I've pulled the battery and it hasn't made any difference.

This happened to my Omnia 7 while doing the final restart. It got stuck on the 'Samsung Omnia 7' logo for about 15 minutes. I just hit the home button and it finished booting.....problem solved.

I went through the suggested MS troubleshooting steps and tried the Fix It thing to no avail, Fix It says nothing is wrong. Any suggestions?

Ok you may want to try to wait for the official notice to pop up. There is a reason why but I used to get that error when I changed my carrier code. A while back there was a Samsung firmware update being pushed down to some carriers that my carrier hadn't released yet. So I changed my carrier code to force the update. The update downloaded but did not manage to install and giving me that error code. I reverted to my original carrier code and a week later, My phone notified me of the same update and successfully installed it.
I believe that nobody is meant to do the disconnect trick and its best to just wait for the official update notice.
It almost seems like some kind of driver issue. After Zune updated it detected a new device and Windows said it installed it ok, the phone works fine in every other way as far as syncing with Zune etc. Device manager says the device is working properly, but when specifically trying to transfer the Mango update it refuses. Weird.
Edit: I fixed it. After reading your post about carrier codes, I starting poking around and rebranded my phone to ATT-US. After that Mango installed no problem.

How long did it get stuck at the operator screen? I have seen reports of 15mins before the phone boots again.

Is your phone still working after the update? What are the version numbers? You can check in Settings > About

It gets stuck there for a long time longest i let it sit there before trying another reset was about 45 minutes or so. I got Zune to recognize my phone and start a restore but it stopped again at the phone restart and sat there for about 30 minutes. I had to exit out to leave work and head home. I also tried to recover the phone with the Windows Phone Support Tool but that timed out at the restart as well and gave me an error code of 800004005.

G3 D855 not working after factory reset because of 'Unfortuanately' popup

I factory reset my LG G3 D855 for no reason other than wanting to start fresh again. I have since encountered an issue I have never come across before:
Upon each boot, I am brought to the LG Set up wizard. No issues there, but without fail, after no more than 5 seconds I get the popup 'Unfortuantely, the process com.android.phone has stopped'. Pressing 'okay', all that happens is the same popup is shown again immediately.
I have tried resetting it to factory settings via the volume and power keys multiple times but theres nothing changes. I've even tried resetting without the micro sd card and sim card ejected, but still no difference.
PurpleDrake wont recognize my phone is connected, nor PC Suite. My computer just doesn't know it's connected.
I have tried everything I know of; if it were as simple as flashing the software via the recovery screen I could do that no worries, but if you're at all familiar with the G3, the bootloader is locked.
I've tried racing through the setup after removing the battery and rebooting (because with the popup, literally nothing is is interactable), but I can't get very far in 5 seconds.
Please help me guys, I don;t have a backup phone and I need this bad.
side note..the last software i remeber installing was 10vi or something....and I don't know if it would be relevant at all, but a few weeks ago, I converted the phone app from system to user so I would be able to customize the LED alerts.
Any sort of help would be appreciated.
Flash the firmware via LGFlashtTool and you should be good to go

"Insert Valid Sim Card" after Downgrading LG G3

Hey guys I'm looking for some help with my LG G3. I used the KDZ method found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089. I did a normal flash and after finishing my phone went into a boot loop so I did a factory hard reset so I lost root and my phone now has no data and tells me to enter a vaild T Mobile sim card. I have the D851 so any suggestions would be very helpful to get my phone back up and running. It seems to have partially worked because the phone was running lollipop but is now running back to stock kit kat.
Same problem

Also on the 14th, My phone just randomly said 'insert valid sd card' with a 10 second countdown to the phone restarting...
and now I cant use my sim on my phone (EE)
I havent gone through any steps to try and fix this however, apart from reinserting the sim, which sometimes works for a couple minutes

You can fix that? I m confused becouse this is a random issue
There's another thread on invalid SIM on the lg g3 forum. I "fixed" the problem by turning off Wi-Fi and leaving it off. It seems to take a little while and some reboots but eventually becomes stable (and battery lasts much longer) but of course I'm using mobile data. Still with free music and video, not that big a deal. Hot spot tho is a problem.

HELP! McAfee thinks my phone is rooted and locked me out

So a little background first. Over the past couple of weeks I've been having an issue where my phone just all of a sudden tells me that my sim is not recognized. Usually a power down and back up fixes it, but it's been getting worse and worse. I tried getting a new sim card but that didn't help.
So today the problem occurs again, and when I restart I get a McAffee screen telling me my phone is locked because it's been rooted (it has not). From what I can tell, the only thing it will let me do is enter a pin that I don't know. Do I have any options here, or am I totally bricked? Any help would be appreciated, I'm starting to panic.
Don't worry, your phone till okay.
the last option you can do is hard reset or try to flash stock
