on my Play is running CM7 FXP44 with cm7_zeus_full9 from official cm page.
All works Camera, Wifi etc.. but i cant choose any livewallpaper.
Please Help =(

do you mind explaining how you got it to work ? as i have the same problem and cant rly find any fixes for this.
Hello, I am new here.
So I flashed this psx rom 4.4.2 geehrc. Its good, but my issue is that the rear camera cannot connect for some reason. Only the front camera works. I have googled and searched alot, but I have only found answers for s3 users with the same issue. I have tried all of those fixes, but none of them have worked for me.

Yes I tried that too, and flashing other kernel doesn't work either. I think that it is not about perimissions, because I have also fixed permissions in recovery.

Okay, so now I just flashed the vanir kitkat rom and the camera works again. It might be the google camera I flashed to psx that broke it

I really like to use CM-Roms or CM-Based Roms, but I don't like the Google Stock Camera.
I've tried some MotoCam versions I've found, but there is no 100% compatible Camera. Does anyone know a fully-working version?

yeah, mine slow mo doesnt work as well,i not sure if got dev working on this.
But stock camera do me just fine,i thk slowmo are under utilize anyway.
after a few test, yeah, stock cam does good work, even without slowmoution, but i hope they can fix it
I'm skateboarder, and so it would be a nice little highlight for me

I have a problem with my HTC ONE X. I have a cm11 official ROM Kitkat 4.4.2 and the Stock Camera of Google that doesn't work very well. I would to replace it with this camera, but I flash it from the recovery, the program confirm that the istallation is done... BUT I'm not able to make it WORK!! The app start and CRASH Instantly! (The app is stopped abnormally) PLEASE HELP ME, I've just start to understand the WORLD of XDA! Thanks a lot!

So far i know this camera isn't for the HTC One X...
I think it works only on Motorola devices

I have just updated to the lastest CM nightly 11-20140606-NIGHTLY-falcon and it is now at Android version 4.4.3. I'm wondering if it's safe to flash this Motorola Camera package from 4.4.2

It used to work before the last two snapshots of CM, now it just says Camera has stopped working on all Camera applications. Maybe I should go back to the last stable? That was a while now.. Thank you in advance! Also Have tried flashing Slimkat, seemed to work but I care for the ROM much. Maybe can someone point me in the direction of a good ROM to use?

Try Nexus Camera
I was on CM 11 M12 and was having a similar issue. Any time I would try to change the flash status the camera app would fail (Cannot Connect to Camera) and not come back until I rebooted the phone. I switched from CM11 M12 to Pac Rom 4.4.4 KTU84Q and had the exact same issue. Tried the CM Camera Fix App (CMFix) and that did nothing. I went and got the Nexus Camera App from the Play Store and haven't had any issues with the camera since. It's kind of weird because it appears to be the EXACT same camera but it worked for me.
