Hey guys, noob here.... well to the forums. So hello everyone, ill tell ya the problem.... 3 days ago i got an HTC Desire.... bought it second hand, to find that the phone had been rooted (great) because i was intending to do it myself, ive never done it before, so i thought i would try and install a custom ROM.... since its rooted already, im not sure how to tell anyone what this guy has done to it already... i know its Cynagon or Cynagen or wahtever is already on it, but i dont know if its good or bad or whatever... so if anyone can guide me the right way it would be GREATLY appreciated, also another thing.... i want to install a new rom on my other SD card as this one is only 4gb and my one is 16gb..... any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! M*
Start with Mildwild. A simple, stable and fast rom. You can choose between Oxygen Mildwild, CM7 MildWild and Redux MildWild. I recommend Redux.

all cm/aosp/aokp roms are having those problems with the battery life...but you can try Alex-V kernel repacked for your aosp or cm rom...if you don't know how to do that please search for that...if then battery life isn't good enough install a sense rom and it will be fine....sorry but it's a known problem with those no-sense roms....
Hi All,
1st time poster, 1st time ROM flasher.
I have a GTN5120 and would love to install a lollipop based ROM. Either Pac-Rom or CM12. I have looked at several guides but am struggling a little bit with the amount of options.
Can someone who has done this successfully on GTN5120 point me in the right direction.
Starting with the best software for recovery on my device?
Thanks.
Don.
Hi, thank you for help! I've a friend asking me for an update, I'm not oging to spend hours trying to figure out why a [N 7.1.2] AOKP-ROM is diffrente from [7.1.2_r17][OFFICIAL] AospExtended ROM, etc. There are many releases here.. could someone kindly just suggest me the most stable and updated? Thank you a lot!
PS: I've found also the "[CM13/14]-[MM/N] [OFFICIAL] Remix Kernel [3G|LTE|DS]", is this "improvements package" contained already in a ROM? Or should I flash it after I flash for exaple AOKP-ROM?
Thank you
I suggest AOKP, I've been using it for quite a while now and it's quite stable, and all around well built. (Although a minor feature, it has very pretty customisation features, not much, but a transparent "glassy" status bar is possible for this rom, as well as transparent volume control.)
Thank a lot for your answer! What about the kernel remix? Is it possible to flash just after aokp? Or better not?
Reply.
Though I have flashed kernels after the roms before, and they worked, I think it'd be better to flash the kernel first, since flashing the kernel after the rom can lead to a boot loop, if that was your question.
