So I've been using the ghost armour for the moto x and it works out fine, but recently it's gotten a couple of cracks on the protector so I'm looking to buy a new one. Has anyone used another glass protector for their moto x and liked it? Or should I just stick with getting a second ghost armour protector.
Thanks!

I feel like glass armor is an oxymoron.

From everything that I've read, the only one you should consider is the i-Blason purchased directly from their site. Purchasing through Amazon has given people issues with their warranty.

The Ghost Armor protector is glass? The one in the installation video on their website certainly isn't. (I can't post links yet)

They have a glass cover model on the mimeusa site. The cover has like 5 chipped edges, and around 6 cracks that go around the screen, so it has does it's job fairly well (but I'm sure the actual glass on the moto x is much stronger).
So go with the i-blaston? I'll check it out. Thanks!
I have the Mocolo tempered glass screen protector, I got it off the Glass-M website. It's a very good screen protector, i dropped it on concrete a couple of days ago and it only chipped on the sides, now im in the market for a new one. I ordered the MIME screen protector since i heard good reviews about it for other devices.

The touch is good ? better than other classic screen protector (no glass) ?
I always use screen protector but never glass and i want know if the touch is good? and if droptest is good too ? because goria glass 3 is glass and mocolo too so if device droped the both are break ?
Thanks
The MIME for the Moto X doesn't fit the screen correctly, leading to premature cracking, chipping, and/or breaking. The misshapen corners will cause the screen protector to lift up.
I haven't read much of anything about the Mocolo.
The i-Blason is the one tempered glass screen protector I know of that fits the curvature of the Moto X screen correctly.

No other feedback ?
get the cheapest ones you can off of ebay. the oleophobic coating is worthless on them, but it only lasts a week with the i-blasons or whatever. so whats the dif? they all, including my i-blason, scratch very quickly. the secret to applying is having a second person with you. get the glass as close to the screen as possible, a mm or two, so you can line it up perfectly. then have someone press down in the middle and let go.
these things last me about a month or two. so don't expect miracles.

You are right but, I prefer to use the phone with nearly original appearance. My main concern is to prevent the device from scratches. Due to material of the body, scratches should not be much visible I think. If I could not find good matte full body cover, maybe would prefer to use screen protector only.
In reality the HOX back has a matt layer that wear off with time (table contact)
I never used a cover before (N1,DHD,Sensation) but the HOX yes

I like the matte looking on phones but, as you say, even holding the HOX after time makes it's body to turn from matte to shiny. Actually, just relizaed that with matte body cover will keep the matte looking also
I think that with time all plastic covers got that look. Edges peel off and loses the original transparency. I saw it with ArmoredShield.

You are right unfortunately but it is the best way to protect the device without adding bulk IMO.
I have found following matte full body covers for HOX.
Phantom Skinz Matte Full Body Kit
Phantom Skinz Matte Full Body Kit for Sensation offered 1 matte body cover, 1 clear screen protector and 1 matte screen protector (received 2 for 1 due to their Internet Special). I applied clear screen protector and it covered the screen pretty good, there is about 0.5 mm space to some of the edges but it is due to my installation I think. Could not find any reviews for HOX though.
SPIGEN SGP Ultra Matte Shield Full Body Protection film
I read here that SGP screen protector does not cover whole screen. I am not sure if Steinheil Olephobic LCD film, included in above mentioned SGP kit, also does not cover whole screen. Also, do not know if Steinheil Olephobic LCD film is matte or clear.
The oleophobic scree protector dosent cover the whole screen. It is a clear screen protector not matte

Actually, I cutted the peeled edges shown in the first and last picture with a blade, a couple of months after the application. There is not any difference in comparison with the original body surface.
By the way, I have just contacted with Phantom Skinz CR by the Live Chat, and the representative declared that the screen protectors for HTC One X cover the whole screen, just as the HTC Sensation.
Screen protector size of Phantom Skinz would be okay I think but the body cover would suck again after the application because it is unibody designed as the one for Sensation. I have not tried SGP, their body cover design is different from Phantom Skinz' and SGP screen protector does not cover the whole screen. Hard to decide

I swear by ZAGG. If you watch the demo video then it should sell you too. Yes its a little more expensive than the 3 dollar scotch tape cover you can get at the grocery store, but you spent a lot of money on the phone with its sharp screen, I figure its worth it. I had the ZAGG cover on my Thunderbolt and it worked great. I liked it so much I have one on my GS3.
DBA Cases sells a screen protector called "Just Like Glass". I just bought one for me and my mom. I must say the feel is great, almost "like glass" and the screen doesn't diminish in quality one bit. It is a wet application. The sides on mine don't want to stick down all the way. The instructions said this would happen and after a few days it will stick. I've only had it applied a couple days so I'm still crossing my fingers. They are only $13.50. I would definitely recommend one. http://www.dbacases.com/samsung-galaxy-s3-screen-protectors.aspx
I highly suggest glasszone. No proximity problems, no response problems. 9H hardness, I've dropped it twice from waist height on concrete floor and it's not scratched, though I'm not 100% if the initial impact was with ground. The only thing I have against it is the (barely) visible layer of glitter on the edges, or what the manufacturer calls "pearl effect". I barely notice it, and it's only really visible under a few instances. You can find it on ebay

Yes it definitely disturbs. That's why the sticker type protector is somehow a better choice, but if you have a sturdy case protector to begin with you don't need a screen protector, that gorilla glass will serve it purposes.

I don't like the Zagg ones, its very clear when you're using them that you have a screen protector on. I have the DBA Just Like Glass mentioned above. I like it for the most part. The screen protector has gotten very scratched up but the screen is safe and sound. Worst bit about it is that the edges dont look properly adhered. Disagree there. The first one I got was $2 and it was shocking. I was expecting a small gap at the sides because of the 2.5d screen but this one barely covered vertically as well. Annoying as I like to keep as much of the front covered as possible so that the tempered glass can protect the screen from drops.
Found the Ultimate Shield one to be excellent.
Try this one from Ultimate Shield. It covers the whole screen very close to the edge. The best one for the Huawei P10 Plus.

Unfortunately I could only find them on nillkin online website and eBay. Nothing in Canada, per usual..
Nillkin tempered glass pro is very thin, cut out on sensors and speaker. (no cutout for front camera. Finger print sensor cutout is good, no bubbles and easy to install.
Good quality and instructions. Only issue I found was it covered not fully to the edge. It has about 3mm gaps (quite a big gap) from the screen edge. Will upload some pics tonight.

Got the exact same experience. Tried other ones that had a better fit but their quality was ****
Also installed the Nillikin...features I was after were minimum cutouts and .2mm thin with radiused edges for smooth navigating over home button. Fantastic smooth oleophobic touch.
Does the job on my Canadian Rogers P10+ and I use two Spigen Rugged Armour cases with good front lips. I alternate between the the slim case and the EXTRA with larger air cushion corners depending on activities.
how to put the temperred glass
Hello all,
have you put the tempered glass over the pre-installed cover that comes with the P10?
No...remove the pre-installed plastic one first.
I went for THIS ONE after having issues with other ones suposedly for the P10 Plus
Fitted great and has stayed stuck on! It's the type with sticky only on the coloured part of the protector
Looking for a good curved tempered glass protector (tried 2 different ones and they've both gotten dust under them in less than 48hrs and the corners have the annoying sticking/clicking issue) and a case that won't push on the glass as I suspect that's my biggest issue, my current case pushes against the glass protectors i've tried and doesn't allow them to fully adhere.
Currently have the spigen rugged armor on my phone, it was just the first one i've tried (and we all know it takes trying several before we find just the right one) so let me know what case/glass combo you've got that's working perfectly for you!
My Pixel 2 XL hasn't arrived yet but from my experience with my S7 edge I never found a good curved screen protector. Unfortunately the curves mean that adhesion to the screen is terrible, touch response problems and/or dust under the screen is unavoidable.

I had to abandon my first screen protector because my Spigen Rugged Armor was pushing on the sides, causing it to click and lift up. I'm waiting on my IntelliGlass 3D protector to ship. Hopefully that ones a tiny bit narrower as I like my base, but would like to get a protector on as well.

Whitestones are good on the Samsung. Though the price is high and the install is a little tougher. Hopefully we get a Whitestone for the 2 xl.
amFilm Tempered Glass paired with the Suensan TPU case is absolutely perfect, in my opinion. The coverage is as close to 100% as you are going to get. The amFilm protector (version 2) has excellent adhesive and doesn't get smudged up with fingerprints. The Suensan TPU case is a very firm fit with excellent responsive buttons. And I was pleased to see that using squeeze for assistant doesn't push the case into the protector.

Eh, in time that's bound to happen with any curved protector that only adheres around the edges. Dust always makes its way in at some point. This has been the case on my last 2 phones (OnePlus 3 and Pixel XL), no matter what brand I used, including Spigen, Orzly, amFilm etc.
With that said, the Version 1 amFilm for the 2 XL had terrible adhesive and the protector barely stayed on the phone. Within 2 days I had dust underneath. The only reason why I bothered with another one was because it developed a crack on the top corner, out of nowhere, and they sent me a replacement for free. The Version 2 is a whole different story and is much improved. It has the stickiest adhesive I've used on any curved TG protector in the past 2 years and has the most difficult to see dot matrix I've seen on any prior protector.
Overall, it is a great option and I'd buy it again if I had to. I'm almost 2 weeks in with no dust underneath and while I know it's inevitable that some will make its way in, I don't anticipate it happening any time soon.
Spigen Rugged Armor paired with Moshi IonGlass
I'm running with the Diztronic and a temporary Zagg. All of these first-run TGSPs are horrible and rainbow like crazy but I don't think I can do any better at the moment.
This dot matrix craze has poisoned the entire market.

I don't know what you mean. I just checked and it's available on their website.
I got it from local TELUS (canadian mobile provider) store. TGSP has adhesive just around borders but it's great and most important... no dot matrix.
I'd love to know more about the Moshi molded TGSP for the P2XL. I've got a Zagg / Invisible Shield on mine now -- installed courtesy of Verizon (while I choked on the price), along with a Speck Presidio case. The phone is protected, but the Invisible Shield is NOT the right fit for the nice curved screen - it's flat, can't extend to the curved edges, catches dust, etc. However it DOES protect the screen for the moment.
Anyway - the Moshi protectors are here:
https://www.moshi.com/moshicom-ionglass-screen-protector-pixel-2-xl
I'd just love to see some reviews before dropping another $35 on yet another accessory. Does the curved shape match the edges of the P2XL properly? How do the cutouts fit? What's it like having only the edges stuck down (is that how it works?) and do you see gaps in the middle?
It shouldn't be so hard / painful to get a properly fitting TGSP for a new flagship phone like this!
MOD EDIT: Spam ads removed
My OP8 came with a screen protector attached and I've put on (for now) the case that was supplied. Does the camera itself need a protector? I've never had one before.

I bought a few screen protectors for my OnePlus 8 and this is the only 1 that worked correctly with no bubbles. For the price paid I received two film screen protectors, one clear carbon fiber like back protector and two camera lens protectors. because it makes the phone look stunning. The camera lens do not feel like glass but rather plastic, but they have not impacted my photos so they are ok. The screen protector film is unbelievably easy to apply with the provided kit and works with the fingerprint scanner.I would highly recommend it!:good: The video that comes with this product is perfect. Took out all the guess work from other sellers.

Hi David,
you recommended the screen protector above for about 5 weeks.
What do you think about this protector after this period of time?
Was the purchase worth it?
Thanks in advance for your answer

I got this screen protector based off his review after trying another screen protector that was absolutely terrible.
I'm my opinion the installation process alone makes it well worth it. Makes it virtually impossible to misalign it. Add that it comes with a rear glass and camera protector and it was a no brainer for me.
As far as the screen protector itself, to me it feels like a thick, soft plastic. Almost like I can dig my nail into it and pick at it if I tried. But it feels just fine for normal touch inputs and doesn't interfere with the display quality.

Sounds promising, would you recommend this protector (for a long time use) ?
(The original protector is a kind of dust magnet)
Thanks in advance for your answer
Cheers!

I've only been using it for about a week now and so far it feels like it will last a long time. The sides are flush with the curve and doesn't look like it will lift anytime soon. However I forgot to mention that 2 screen protectors come packaged so If this one ever starts to lift or get damaged in any way, I have a replacement.
I know it doesn't have the greatest reviews, but I had success with it and I think it's one of the best film protectors I've tried.

Any good tempered glass screen protectors or Whitestone-like kits yet?

Hello, It seems good, but is the screen protector really efficient compared to a tempered glass? I'm hesitating between this one and an UV tempered glass like Foluu:

If you are just wanting a screen protector and not necessarily a glass one check out the LK screen protector. Super easy to apply, case friendly and feels as good as glass as far as your finger is concerned. Best film screen protector I have used yet.

The issue is always the same with plastic protectors: they will not prevent the screen from shattering when the phone falls. With a glass protector, you have a much greater chance of not having a damaged screen.

I am also a Spigen Tough Armor user.
I would also like to know what will work best with this case.
I had one on it, but it didn't work well with the case and kept lifting at the edges where case meets up to protector.
Any ideas anyone?
Currently installed a nillkin screen protector, it's glass, full adhesive, responsive, good oleophobic coating and feels like the actual screen (fingerprint unlock works, maybe 10% slower)
It comes with an installation template to fit the screen protector perfectly aligned (kinda like a case)
It's also full screen and covers the front facing camera, sensors work perfect . The only thing is it covers maybe 0.1mm of the sides, very very minimal and hardly noticeable it's actually nicer haha
Will post some pics soon, it's a great protector!
I need something that won't lift when I put my case back on... Still struggling to find something
