I tried with OSP apk from G2 but it connects for a second only and then drops the connection.

How?

Disabling it was the wrong word. I removed the home button and swipe up shortcuts. The I cleared the app data and cache.

in my opinion, its a faulty device, return the device asap and get another one, i went through this, my UI and apps kept crashing after my album book or somthing installed (which was alredy pre installed ). so i returned it and got another phone, now working fine. there are some faulty Note 3 out there beware.

Is there a setting I'm missing for this? Or do I need to turn off lock screen pattern unlock? It doesn't seem to do anything when I hit the vol down.
But I like the addition of the Qslide. Thanks! Are there more that are useful that can be added?

LMT Pie Launcher

Does anyone know whether this will work on our devices and if so where I could get it? I hate reaching for the home, back and menu button, this just makes it so much easier

Working fine on p601 and Note 2. I found 2.0 a bit laggy so went back one version though.

That's odd, seems like its not sticking, my Sprint variant did it a few times out the box, never did it again.

I have no idea what it could be...I have tried other launchers, same problem..
Sent from my LG-D855 using XDA Free mobile app
I fixed this problem by factory reset, after reset phone remember settings
Clear the cache for the lg launcher and open you other one nova , apex or whatever one you're using and set as default. Also go into system settings>display>home and at default there as well. Then reboot and it should work. Optionally you could go into recovery and clear the cache and reboot.

how do I get rid of the Lookout app?

I've taken the steps to remove it but it's still there and it's always scanning all my apps and notifying me that they're all safe like I care.

It looks like you have to be rooted to get rid of Lookout. You can't even disable it in Settings / Apps / Show System. I always use Root Explorer. I am still stock and T-Mobile offers the Premium Lookout for free but you SHOULD be able to dial back how often it is scanning besides when you install an app.
I'm on stock T-Mobile and I have disabled it.

Uncheck it in 'device administrators' and you can then disable it.
