"Unofficial" CyanogenMod 12 for Sony Z1
CyanogenMod is a free, community built distribution of Android 5.0 (Lollipop) which greatly extends the capabilities of your phone.
Link: cm-12-20141127-UNOFFICIAL-honami.zip
SOUND/MIC TEST: cm-12-20141208-UNOFFICIAL-honami.zip THIS IS EXPERIMENTAL!!! Please test and let me know if it works!
How to install:
1) First copy ROM to internal storage
2) Gapps can be found here
3) Make sure you have a kernel with CWM or TWRP recovery. (if not, then flash a CM kernel using fastboot flash boot boot.img)
4) Immediately boot into recovery.
5) I always wipe data and cache to be safe
6) Flash ROM and GAPPS as you do with normal CM
7) Enjoy
Issues:
Recovery seems broken on this kernel, so to flash another version, you will have to reflash a custom boot.img in order to gain recovery.
Root appears to be broken
Camera is broken
Mic (maybe broken?) edit: yes it is broken. Waiting for the CM source kings to work their magic
Everything else seems to be working well!
Warning!
This is a test version so please don't expect things to be working properly!
Thanks To/Credits
CyanogenMod and their team (everyone who has contributed to the project)

Really appreciate your work. Do you think about maintaining this device until some official port comes along ? Or do you only want to make this one build ?
Looking forward to this, is it a .zip file I got no computer atm
Some screenshots?

I have a Lollipop Beta installed with TWRP-Recovery.
What boot.img should I flash?
Or can I try it with TWRP?
Thanks

I am thinking of installing the nightly build of CM11 available via official download site; however, before I do, I just wanted to make sure that certain features are working. Especially, what is the status of Dual SIM and WiFi support? Is there any thing else that is not implemented yet?
Also, besides backup and common sense, is there any thing else I should keep in mind before doing it (I have never flashed a Nightly build before)?

This build is as (un)stable as 12.0 builds. But you have to keep in mind, theoretically it can consist issues, that weren't already found and they could be critical

This first build was just taken from CM sources. Now I am trying to fix important functions (like mobile data and WiFi crashes). After I'll succeed in dealing with any problem of ROM and post new build, I'll also add git source to the thread

Thanks for the hard work, it already seems more responsive than CM12. I've noticed that swipe typing now works, but swipe to wake no longer seems to work. Or I just aren't looking hard enough.
Any update on the device crashing when you enter the multitasking in landscape?
As we all know the Oreo is something that is quite distant for our device.
We need testers for Oreo Builds who can report bugs with accuracy, provide the logs required and have basic experience in software testing.
Be aware that the current & later releases are unstable & cannot be used as daily drivers.
BUG:
I don't have device test
Installation Instructions:
- Download the ROM
- Put the downloaded zip files on your SDCard
- Reboot in Recovery
- Wipe System, Cache, Dalvik Cache, Internal and Data Partition
- Flash rom
- Reboot system

Hello. Seems like you are doing Z00T Z00F builds for lineage 15 using my sources.
You should atleast inform me that you were going to use my sources. Even if they were open. So that we could inform you of bugs & other things.
Also, you can not just plaigarize my original post in a thread I opened.
This feels like you want to use my work & take credit for it.

Yes. I get it. I don't want a full banner in my name. But this thread is new. 2 days old. & you have mostly copied my threads original post. The opening paragraph is an exact copy. Layout is the same.
I guess it doesn't make a difference.
I apologize. I didn't know that you were actually contributing to the community & not just compiling someone's work.

Most of my development happens on telegram.
Let's get in touch there.
t.me/nutcasev1_5
There are 5 or 6 things to fix in the data structures & then some shimming to do.
@nguyenhung9x Based on 8.1? I'm gonna try it once I get my screen repaired.
error 11 and bootloop
just at the end in twrp it shows error 11 and when tried to reboot to system, it sends me to recovery
Can anyone add our device to the supported devices list ? This would be very helpful, especially since we have a large internal space, for testing out new ROMs...
Here is how to add support to any device :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/guide-dualboot-patcher-unsupported-t3647056
I wanted to try it, but I am using my phone on a daily basis and don't have an alternate VoLTE phone... Also I am a bit inexperienced in development... :crying:
Tried given steps..
1st latest version not worked when clicked on ROM, failed.
I tried bit old version say 9.3 build 179.. Clicking rom worked.
Then followed all steps but not seen X01BD device while patching zip.
This much i did.. Will check other ways.
Note: we need to check other or older version of dbp

Thanks for trying
Did you follow the official method ? Which recovery are you using ? TWRP or PBRP ?
Yes
I have tried it finally... Both unofficial method as well as official..
1) Unofficial method does not seem to work, because the app crashes when we click on the ROMs section... This happens for all snapshots from 9.3.0.r340 onwards... I tried the snapshot before this one i.e. 9.3.0.r327 and there were no crashes. I continued with the unofficial method, flashed PATCH.zip, gave root permissions etc but this method did not work...
2) I tried the official method. I forked the project on Github, made the neccessary changes to the asus.yml file and created a pull request.
Here : https://github.com/chenxiaolong/DualBootPatcher/pull/1380
Now we wait for the changes to be merged with the main repo ... Then test the new release...
I didn't have enough bandwidth, otherwise would have built the apk from source myself... Still there is time ... I'll try to see if I can build the apk ....
Hey guys ... Can anyone please help in building this apk ?
Here is my repository which I forked from the official :
https://github.com/Tyakrish/DualBootPatcher
Just fork from my link and build the apk using the steps described here :
