Omg. Please help! My G3 started making the notification sound and vibrate persistently whenever it's plugged in.
This is what I've done thus far:
Factory reset, change wall adapters, pulled the battery.
This didn't start happening until today and I've had the phone since launch in the US.
I am rooted.
Mostly this occurs when I pull down the notification tray.
I activated the hidden menu by dialing 3854#*850# which allowed me to disable the temperature throttling stuff as described in other threads. I turned that back off but nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

Flashed O2 ROM to unlock, didn't work as still asked for GID code.
Re-installed xda developers ROM, still asked for GID code, just for the hell of it I typed in 4 zeroes and was very supprised to see popup box appear at the top of phone screen saying T-mobile  so phone now works...almost. All the external buttons don't work.
Only way to switch xda on is to put it into its cradle, only then do the buttons work.
If I remove power cable from cradle xda stays on with the green LED flashing.(all buttons still working). If I then remove xda from cradle and start to use programs etc, it shuts down only to be restarted in cradle again.
Thought it may be a battery problem but the battery power bar in settings says it's fully charged.
Does anyone out there have any ideas about this please.
Cheers Guys
Silent D
Did you carry out a hard reset after burning the new rom? You can sometimes get weird problems if you only do a soft reset. It may also be that you have a button stuck in the down position. Also check setting under settings/personal/buttons.
Cheers, but I did do a hard reset.
I've now re-installed Rom 3 times with same result, although with the last one, xda stayed on a bit longer before it crashed.
Thanks

Hey guys I seem to be having an issue with my phone where when I plug in a pair of headphones it for some reason changes my home button to open the clock app and makes every incoming call anwser with the speakerphone even after I take the headphones out. The only way to fix it I have found is to take out the battery for 15 seconds and then put it back in (I am doing this about 3 times daily). From what I can tell it looks like my xp thinks its in a dock and is acting accordingly. If you could guys could help me out or even give me a way to prevent it that would be great. I am on an unlocked rodgers r800a running cyanogenmod 7. Any feedback is appriciated.
Thanks
Anyone?

Nothing really I just sold my ipod and started using my play to listen to music and noticed it happening. It happend once before but I didn't know what caused it then I read up on it and saw a guy on another forum had the same problem and taking the battery out fixed it. Then when it started happening a lot I experimented with it and figured out it was when I plug in any pair of headphones it messes up.

Tried backing up only important programs and data, then reflashing back to stock?
It goes into dock mode if power is plugged in, then you plug in headphones. To fix it, unplug power, then unplug and replug your headphones.

My phone will just randomly vibrate all the time throughout the day. Most of the time it just does a quick little buzz but sometimes it buzzes twice real fast and the pops up a bunch of options of how I want to open it. I opened it once and it was just and email. But it keeps doing it and has for a couple weeks now. I reset my phone and it still does it. Has anyone ever heard of this phone doing this before?

sorry mate..cant help u there. but one idea..u can always use it as a vibrator
Usually that means something force close. I would say if u are on a ROM re flash it and that should fix the problem

Sounds like your device is producing bug reports. They start with a single vibration, finish with a double, and then give you a list of options so you can share the bug report. Try disabling debugging in developer options and see if it stops.
It's there a possibility that both volume buttons and the power button after being pressed simultaneously prior to these vibrations? This is they key combination to generate a bug report.

None of the buttons are sticking. The USB debugging was checked so I unchecked it. I'll see how the phone acts over the next day or so. Thank you.

The random vibrations on my Galaxy S4 Dual sim stopped after I logged in to my Samsung account and updated it. No more random vibrations since.

Yup, this is because you have debugging turned on... When you press all three HW keys, you send it a command to do a bug report and then it vibrates once(This use to happen to me quite often and by accident when unlocking the phone). It takes some time to create the bug report (about a minute) and when it's done it vibrates twice and prompts you to send the bug report via mail.
Turn off USB debugging and this won't happen anymore.
Is it the on body protection? Under smart lock
Hi...Yesterday i was using my mobile and the battery got low about 8% or 7% percent so i plugged in the charger (it was not my HTC charger) and i slept and when i woke up after 4 hrs my battery was charged it was showing the green light but when i tried to unlock my phone the screen was black and everything else was working the Volume keys, notification led & and its getting connected to the pc...And i tried everything even resetting the phone by pressing the volume and power key but the button lights just blinked and i guess the phone just restarted but still no luck...soo it seems like a hardware issue but could it be my gpu?? and if it is my gpu do i need to get a new motherboard??? or is there any other solution to fix the BSOD?

I've had this issue also. Idk the cause. But try resetting using just power button. When the blinking starts keep holding it until it vibrates or you see the screen come back on. I don't think you held it long enough.

I typed in the qemu.hw.mainkeys=0, saved, rebooted, and nothing happened. I even type in "#" in front of the back, home, and menu keys in the build props in the other files. Still nothing.
I'm on 4.4.4, in case that might have something to do with anything. Any other way I can get the on screen buttons?

Nvm, I just changed my battery to the OEM one I have, and all of a sudden the on screen buttons appeared when I turned my phone on. I didn't even know that's what the problem was. Anyone know why that might be.
I had a ravpower battery in it, just to let you guys know.

Update: pulled the OEM battery, and put the ravpower battery back in, and the on screen buttons stayed on!
Hmmm....weird that it took me to change the battery for the on screen buttons to appear....very random. Oh well, it works, and I couldn't be happier. I love these on screen buttons.
In case anyone else had the same problem as me, try changing batteries, or maybe just pulling it, then reinstering, and see if that does the trick.
