Welcome to Eos! The Eos project originated with the AOSP release of ICS, and was originally founded by Solarnz and co founded by Bigrushdog. Since then, Eos has evolved into a multinational collaborative effort backed by top Android developers. Our objective is to provide a world class AOSP build with unique features and enhancements. Eos is an ongoing development project in which builds are released on a regular basis. Every release should be considered stable and highly functional.
Bigrushdog - Project lead, Chief Developer [Xoom || Galaxy Nexus || HTC One (M7)]
RaymanFX - Co-leader, AOSP code maintainer [Xperia S || Nexus 7 (2013) || OPPO N1 || OPPO Find7a/s]
jrior001 - Jenkins/Gerrit Admin, CAF code maintainer [HTC One X]
anders3408 - Frameworks Developer [OPPO Find5 || OPPO N1]
Roach - Frameworks Developer [Nexus 4 || Nexus 7 (2013) || HTC One (M8)]
Connor Baker [Nexus 4 || HP Touchpad]

We give love and much respect to Cyanogenmod. The AOSP scene would not exist as it does today without them. We implement some of their branches to support legacy devices and features that users have demanded.

Bugs / Screenshots / Misc
Known bugs:
Camera HDR mode freezes the cam
No 4k recording (soon!)
Information:
We do not use any other team's device trees, kernels, vendors, or anything else.
The audio/display/media HALs (drivers) are straight AOSP ones, this ROM uses the same drivers like Hammerhead (Nexus 5) does.
The Find7a and Find7s devices are enabled on EOS without the use of any QCOM_HARDWARE or QCOM_BSP (CAF) flags, meaning our trees can be used to build pure AOSP without any modifications (except for a few in build).

Great, looks promising. Will try it out! Thanks!

Excellent to see another fantastic developer my transformer is still rocking because of you!
Danke!

Create the thread for find 7 in it own section so people won't ask whether it compatible with find 7s or not in find 7a thread.
And keep up the good job. I like the various rom around here.

I'm really excited about this. I'm still running EOS on my XOOM. Question, I might have missed this, are you using the official Oppo camera blobs in this ROM?

You ain't kidding? [emoji12] I know that, but the blobs that the camera uses aren't the app. Omni, PA, and CM use the Oppo blobs for example. It makes the camera perform just as good as when using Color OS minus the gimmicks.

Quick question. My 64gb micro SD will not mount on this ROM. Is there anything I am missing? I attempted to take a log but it wasn't showing anything. Clean install, wiped everything but external SD. Also I'm formatted as exfat if that matters.
Other than this, this is the fastest feeling ROM I've had on this phone. I've jumped back to DU for the moment though.

I was checking github one day and i saw the repository for both Find 7a and Find 7, so i knew you guys will post a rom very soon Gonna wait for the Find 7 version :laugh: Thank you for the rom in advance

If you're feeling adventurous, you can download find7(s) builds at downloads.codefi.re/teameos/nightlies/OPPO/find7 .
Be aware those are alpha builds right now, but can be used as daily drivers (I run find7s nightly builds on my device, too, obviously).
Just two little issues left on find7(s): 1) performance is a little worse than find7a builds (will be fixed soon though) and 2) the skyline notification bar does not work at the moment.
Also, any other issues you might encounter on other ROMs, like BSOD's or anything won't be present on EOS, since I am using my own drivers and sources.
Glad you like my work

Hey, I somehow missed your pst yesterday, sorry for that.
Could you please try to
Code:
fastboot flash boot <boot.img>
the attached boot.img and see if your MicroSD gets mounted ?

All good. I'll back up my current and try when I get home in a few hours. I'll edit this after I've tried it.
EDIT: I flashed it in fastboot but no dice. I went ahead and erased the cache in fastboot as well but it still didn't work.Logs don't seem to be catching anything still. It is like nothing is happening but I do get a brief pop up in the status bar stating that it is preparing the SD card. Anyone else having this issue?

I just flashed this ROM yesterday, noticed I'm not getting sound when making calls. Everything else seemsnok, but no sound when calling, but I do get quiet sound from speaker using speakerphone but of course no mic when using speaker. Latest nightly on find 7a us ver, on T-Mobile.

Hmm that sounds odd..
Did you try a FAT/ext4 formatted card?
My kernel has exfat support built in, so the issue must be related to userspace/vold.
Could you please grab a logcat while inserting the card?
Code:
adb logcat &> sdcard_fail

The issue must be on your side, I had people test this ROM before I released it (and also tested it myself of course).
I do get clear and loud output during calls just fine.
This sounds like a speaker calibration issue to me.. did you dirty flash my ROM or did you perform a clean flash?
I recommend wiping everything and try again.
If the issue still persists, please grab a logcat, instructions are above.
Also, the no-mic-on-speaker shoud be fixed in the next nightly along with other fixed, and it has a Torch app built in.

I think I clean installed. Since I'm new to the find 7, I wipe cache dalvik system and data right? I noticed the standard wipe doesn't wipe system so I did advanced and get it all. Do I need to go stock again, and leave system when flashing?

Just tried this rom. Unfortunately it does not see the sdcard on find 7a. Tried with a fat 32 and exfat card. Pity would have loved give this a good run. Back on paranoid for now. Will wait for this problem to be resolved.

ROMS
ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy KK.
You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, Gapps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.
How to flash
- Download the latest build
- Download Gapps
- Take a nandroid backup (optional)
- Recommended - Full wipe and factory reset
- Flash ROM using any recovery
- Flash Gapps
- Reboot.
- Enjoy!

What sound do you mean? Speakerphone?
Anyways, does this also work on Find 7s? (2k version). And how about the BSOD (screen randomly turns black or something).

The latest nightly was not returning any audio but after I tested it last night it works out it was just n3o's build environment. Everything is working perfectly. No problems with BSOD and unified storage might be coming along shortly.
Loudspeaker and ear speaker are great and loud.
The only thing we are trying to figure out is why DT2W won't work after echoing 1 to /proc/touchpanel/enable_double_tap
The sysfs is the same, it's set to 1 but fails to do anything

If you need me to test something else, let me know.
Testing is done on the 2k version Find 7 X9076 international edition.

Whichever package suits you best - Check out the options in the link from the OP - I personally use Micro because I have a majority of the apps backed up with Titanium.
You could also try AICP GAPPS though I have not tested them personally

[ROM] [UNOFFICIAL] CARBON - GEE/GEEB 4.4.4 - Stock Camera - 10-18-2014

Hi,
- First things first (warning: skip ahead below the Carbon logo image if you don't want to get sleepy):
Note: english is not my 1st language. Sorry for any errors.
Since the latest available Carbon ROM (simply my favorite) for gee is from July, I decided to go ahead and learn this strange, time consuming but addicting ROM building business. Mind you, my only experience with building was more than 2 years ago, when I did builds of a specific kernel (dzo's) for a specific phone (Huawei U8800). Since then, I even hadn't touch ubuntu at all....
Which takes us to today. Last week, I decided to grab the bull by the horns and start doing a Carbon build it myself. I know, more or less, my way around ubuntu, it hasn't changed much in 2 years that I couldn't start right away.
First build of Carbon - disaster. That thing wouldn't build, sepolicy errors, video encoder errors, busybox erros, even bootanimation errors (these were all simple fixes, but I thought I would never find a solution for these. This kind of stuff was for the pros and my Google-fu wasn't enough.
Gave up on carbon, found out about aicp. Great, seems like a great ROM. Wow, building it went along fine. Let's put it on the phone. Bootanimation, great! A little viration and... bootanimation again. More vibration, bootanimation again. adb logcat: --waiting for device--
God damn it. Let's change the device specific stuff. Tried them all, joollaman's, MikeEx, xboxfanj, etc. All with the same issue, bootloops and no logcat possible.
Okay, won't give up just yet, let's try AOKP now, since there is no recent gee aokp build that I can find. Same deal, builds fine, but bootloop and no logcat.
After countless hours downloading (each ROM source is more than 10GB) and compiling stuff (my modest pc takes more than 3hrs for a first compilation), with no success, I gotta get some help on the forums. Found out I wasn't the only one. AICP and AOKP simply refuse to boot on gee. k5t4j5 is trying to fix that. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
Ok, since those two ROMs build fine without sepolicy or busybox errors breaking everything, let's go again for my primordial objective: build Carbon. Figured I should change the "broken" projects (sepolicy, busybox) paths in the manifest with, for example, the ones from aokp. BINGO!!!!
Carbon now builds fine. First build just yesterday, using MikeEX device tree.
Now, using jollaman999's (thank you!), because I wanted a working gee rom with stock camera right away (and thank you faust93 for your revolutionary work with the camera port).
DISCLAIMER
============================================
I'm reponsible for all the bad stuff this ROM could do to your phone. If it breaks it, tell me and I'll buy you a new phone of your choosing.
Actually, no I'm not responsible for anything, your phone, your warranty, your cat, your bills, you know the deal...
And I'm sorry, I can't provide support for this unofficial build, as I'm just a builder with no other skills whatsoever. Also, it's probably better not to ask support on official Carbon channels bc this is completely unoficial, made by some random guy on the intertubes.

To make things clear - This is CARBON GEE and includes jollaman999's Kernel with stock camera drivers. Note, this requires MOD kernels. Gproj kernels won't work with this.

OFFICIAL CHANGELOG
============================================
(Please take in consideration this rom's build date when checking changelogs)
https://review.carbonrom.org/#/q/status:merged,n,z
HOW TO INSTALL
============================================
First time instalation, or coming from another ROM:
- Make sure you're running a proper working ClockworkMod-Recovery/Team Win Recovery Project - WITH SELINUX SUPPORT! (I used Philz Touch which worked fine)
- Copy GApps and ROM ZIP to your SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- BACKUP YOUR EXISTING WORKING ROM
- Factory reset, or even better, triple-wipe (system, data, cache)
- Install ROM's zip and then GAPPS
- Reboot (first boot takes a while)
Upgrading from an earlier version:
- Copy the ROM ZIP to your SDCard (No need to wipe anything, it'll do it for you)
- Boot into Recovery
- Flash the ROM zip from SDCard
- Reboot
KNOWN ISSUES
============================================
As this is gee based, it will have known gee bugs. There are probably more but these are the ones I always encounter:
- NFC toggle doesn't work on first boot. After a reboot, it works just fine. Then you can turn it on/off like there is no tomorrow if you want.
- Gee kernels without ported stock camera have, IMO, bad camera quality. Video fps in less than ideal light is worse than if it was taken with a potato. The included kernel has stock camera but beware if you install another kernel without it.
- Gee kernels with ported stock camera (like the one included here) don't turn on flash when focusing at night. In fact, this is stock ROM behavior, nothing that can be done about it.

Dear; I Dont find the stock camera in the app drawer. I think it is replaced while installing gapps, is it so? When you say stock camera do you mean the one from lg ROM?
Sent from my LG-gee using XDA Free mobile app
could be upstream but when I tried to pick the phase beam and sun beam live wallpapers it ended up slowing the system wayyyy down to the point wehre the screen would just go black for a few seconds when I hit the home button to return to the launcher.

No, stock camera like in Stock camera quality. The app is still aosp. And that disappearance seems like gapps. Install another launcher, the camera should be there.
Sent from my LG-gee using Tapatalk
Yes the gapps package replaces the aosp with google camera. Anyways it is working fine as of now. Thanks

Second build posted in OP. Has nothing new as far as i can see, this was just more of a test to see if everything goes fine on a second build.

Hum... I usually just delete all wallpaper apks after installation, so I can't confirm, but when I have some time, I'll try to reproduce it. Even if that's happening, I don't think there's anything I can do to fix that. You could try updating adreno drivers, but I suspect it won't do anything at all regarding your problem.
Does anybody have a ROM suggestion for me to build? I know Carbon I can do without problems... I'm looking for other ROMs that we don't already have. I tried AICP and AOKP and they don't work (at least for gee), sorry, I can't do them. Yesterday I also tried Revolt but sources seem to be broken.

+1 for Evervolv. That's pretty close to stock vanilla AOSP with minimum bells and whistles. I think some users, including myself would appreciate that.

AICP
Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, Rom has always been AOKP based. Unfortunately, since AOKP either stopped development or will make a comeback later this year, we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or CM team if it concerns their modifications. This rom isn't CM supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!

Nightly builds
GAPPS:
Opengapps
ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy Lollipop.
How to flash:
Don't do it if you don't know it1. Full wipe
2. flash rom
3. flash gapps
4. bootROM has gapps persistance in between dirty flashes.

Any report is more then welcome especially logcats.

Great to see you here. I'm on the 3rd November Cm12.1 build and a lot of the known issues have already been sorted so you should have a really stable base to work from for your nightlys. Will try them out when you are a few days in and properly up and running ?

I will flash the 3th or 4th nightly tomorrow as I like to run a build for a day at least.
Would you imagine there are any issues with dirty flashing over cm12.1?
Ho Ho Ho, things are coming for our LG G4, this sounds good.
Good luck to all devs.

I got a bootloop on h815 on a dirty wipe (from cm12.1) and a wipe of the system.. Having said that, it does say full wipe so will try that later. Was hoping to not have to delete data and start again.

#grumpyface. I will try shortly and report back my findings as no one else has yet put up first impressions.
Edit: Fresh install and its working fine so far. I do need to test the various things that I know have been causing issues on the other ROMs.
I can confirm that the camera is working but is slow. This has been fixed in cm12.1 so I guess will be in the next nightly.
Just downloading ......
Oh another new awsome rom!Thanks

Thanks for the fast reply
So a bit more of a detailed update on the 11032015 nightly from this morning (I don't have logs and I know that makes me evil):
1) Bluetooth: This didn't seem to work for me in my car today. Both the unofficial 11012015 and official 11032015 CM12.1 builds did work on bluetooth so not sure whats happening here. It turned on, paired and then force closed with something along the lines of "bluetooth share unavailable"
2) Camera: I tried this and it will load and record photos and video but it does take a while to load up in the first place. It works for both front and rear camera.
3) GPS: This was working fine in the car today over a 40 minute commute home from work.
4) Animations: I have changed all my values to 0.4x within the developer settings section however they do not seem to have taken affect. This wasn't an issue for me in CM12.1 ....I was just being special in a 'This actually does work as intended kinda way'
5) LED notification light: This seems to be working perfectly for me.
6) USB OTG: This is not working for me. It wasn't working on CM12.1 so is a wider issue.
7) Antutu score of 48793 which is similar to stock. Depends on whether you believe in this sort of thing
8) Youtube is running at 1080p as it should. I know other people have had issues with this.
Overall this is a really good rom. Other than bluetooth, I have had no force closes and only picked up these few issues. I haven't heavily tested all aspects of the phone but pretty much everything seems to be working as intended. Great effort and I'm sure within a short period of time we will be able to get these few issues resolved. Definitely worth a try!!

About DU:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean. In the early days it was just a one man show on one device, the EVO 3D. Since then, many others have joined the project and it has grown exponentially.
We have seen a lot of talent contribute to this project of ours. Big or small, the focus was always on contributing to the community. That is ultimately why we do what we do. After Jelly Bean, we decided to move to a new base, OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting base because it challenged us to see what we could do with a project that had different goals in mind. We learned a lot and again, gain contributors. With Lollipop, we moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. We grew even more and learned a whole lot more.
It has been an awesome learning experience and is still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward. Lastly, we DO NOT accept, nor ask, for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc. We will never ask for a dime. All we do ask, is that you have patience, search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!

- Shut down your phone
- Press and hold volume down button
- Power on
- Keep holding the volume button until the sony logo is visible on your screen
If you experience a black screen while watching videos (e.g. in Youtube or video mode of the camera app), please go to Developer options and enable "Disable HW overlays"

I'm getting a FC from the theme chooser, what gives?
This is due to restoring data/apps from Google. Go ahead and clear data and cache for theme chooser and theme provider then reboot you should be good moving forward.
I changed my LCD density and now the navbar looks weird, what gives?
This is currenly an issue that we are aware of and addressing. For now after you changed density reset navbar layout or stay on the stock density.

SD card works for me. Did you test it on other Marshmallow ROMs? Which file system is your SD formatted with?
I experienced that android marshmallow wouldn't accept exfat-formatted USB OTG storage; wanted it to be fat32, maybe that's a similar issue for SD cards...

Mine has also fat32, and it works without problems.
Maybe formatting it anew could fix this (make a backup of your data first, of course); I don't have any other ideas at the moment.
I think that's this ROM is the faster 6.0.1 for this device.
Also the camera is better than the other

Just for info - same SDcard works fine on AICP6.0...
Camera seems good, but I have issues where it will freeze, or flash at the wrong time, etc. I tried with a couple of 3rd-party apps, and same. Anyone else?

Not with vol - and also its not possible with the app rashr.

How long should installation of this ROM take? It's been on "Flashing Dirty Unicorns System files..." for about ten minutes now.
I updated to TWRP 3.0.2, wiped system, data, cache, and art cache, then set it to flash the ROM and Gapps.
Edit: switched over to f2fs and sideloaded the ROM. Not sure which of those two did the trick, but it installed!

Instructions & requirements
We highly recommend you to follow these instructions very carefully. Users usually tend to skip a few steps and eventually fall in trouble. Are you with me? Good. Let's get this train going.
Just a few things to keep in mind first -
If you're coming from another ROM / Stock, your system data (not internal storage) and cache will have to be wiped. This includes apps, accounts, messages, call logs etc.
There's been some users complaining about different GAPPS variants messing up installs and causing a ton of issues. Upon investigating it seems OpenGapps Mini/Nano work best.
Understand that Paranoid Android is a custom ROM and it might lead to addiction as it's relatively good. We shouldn't be accused of anything just incase your cat starts drinking wine. Things get a little woozy in the Paranoid World.
Some brain might be involved if things go wrong. Not a lot though, as much to solve what's 1+1.
Okay let's get to the main bit -
Once you have all the required files - boot into recovery and wipe the bananas out of your device. Get into the wipe menu and wipe data, system, cache and dalvik cache (basically everything except Internal Storage).
Once wiped, get into the "Install from zip" menu and select the ROM zip. (pa_gemini_6.x...). Once added to the install queue, TWRP will ask you if you want to add more zips into the queue - Click on "add more zips" and select the firmware package.
Swipe the bar on the bottom to flash/install zips. Once both zips are done installing - Reboot into system and set-up your device, after you've let it settle with screen off for about 10 Minutes, do not do anything else! Please let your device settle with screen off for about 10 Minutes after the first boot, otherwise the system wont boot after a reboot!
Once you're done setting up your device - well that's when you're done. One thing though - Make sure you DO NOT INSTALL any other zip in the same queue as the ROM! Meaning, do not flash anything like Gapps, a kernel or a root package while installing the ROM. We recommend you do that AFTER you're done setting up your device.

full rom, no delta updates...
Installation is a bit fiddly. Have to follow instructions and give it a time to settle. Then you get an. excellent rom.
Exposed works very well.
Great camera. Take pictures while recording video
Fingerprint works better than any other rom.
Am staying Paranoid .
Thanks dev

Which gapps version you use? I was installing this rom, wait for about 10 minutes and install latest opengapps nano and it can enter homescreen for a while then back to bootanimation again.
