I adjusted my home screens the way i wanted them, and then some time after rebooted my phone. When it booted back up, one of my screens was sitting over top of the smart tips and fitness screen as shown in the attached picture. I cant remove the icons and i have tried turning off smart screen and turning it back on, but it stayed the same. I cant think of anything short of a wipe and restore that would fix the issue. Has anyone else had this problem?

had this issue on:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2824251
sorted itself out yesterday and the icons are now gone! wondering if the 10e update fixed it. previously if I restored home screens from a backup it restored the icons that were present when the backup was taken. just tested with my last backup backup that had 2 icons on the screen and they have not reappeared ☺

Hi there just got a problem here. If u look at the screenshot of my phone there is a gap and I don't have any clue how do I get rid of it. It annoys me. Now here how did I get that, installed notification toggle app moved that to system/app to get some extra features however I found power control is more convenient that notification toggle app so moved that back to user/app and uninstalled that and I got that gap . There used to be a little icon of notification toggle. I would be so greatful if someone can help me.
Factory reset?
Same exact thing happened to me. The only way I was able to fix it was restore from backup

Find red colored tw launcher
And restore only data, remember you can't restore widgets (its android limitations)
Rest of short cut and folder will be restored.

That you can restore with setting green colored. (one is for lock screen wall paper etc, another for setting menu)

Using titanium to backup home screen
. I just lost all my home screen settings . Essentially I had clubbed apps relevance together and create custom categories on my home screen.
And after rebooting and recreating mount script of link to sd I lost everything on the home screen. How do I use Titanium to backup my custom home screen clubbing off applications
All I see in that titanium app is option to backup individual apps what is the option that will backup home screen customisation in full detail
The developers of TB really need to lift their game when it comes to documentation!
it defenetly worked i saw it dont know which one it was
I can not get the lock screen wallpaper to change. It will only let me change to something from the wallpaper gallery, none of my pictures. I have tried everything I can think of. Please help...it's driving me nuts

Works fine for me. Settings > Lock Screen > Wallpaper > Gallery
or gallery -> choose image -> menu -> set image as -> lock screen wallpaper
what things have u tried so we can skip past any steps u have already done
I know how to do it, it just won't change. I have tried both settings then lockscreen settings and the gallery select picture and set as routes. I have cleared app data as well. I uninstalled quick pic so the only thing to manage pictures is gallery. I even tried removing nova launcher.
Sent from my LG-E980 using xda app-developers app
The only thing it well let me do is use the stock wallpapers
Sent from my LG-E980 using xda app-developers app
so the option is there in the gallery app to use a pic as a lock screen but it just doesnt apply it? u do a battery pull since u removed quickpic? is it only ur lockscreen u cant change or is even ur home screen wallpaper too?
Yeah...option is there, just not applying. It lets me change home wallpaper, no problem. Didn't do a battery pull....Just a reboot. Is there a difference?
I'm also going to try wiping my cache in CWM now that I'm thinking about it.
*update* I have done all of the above...still no luck. It pops up with a message stating "wallpaper has changed" and everything. I'm honestly at a loss
Sent from my LG-E980 using xda app-developers app
maybe a conflict with quickpic or nova or some other mod/tweak...fastest solution i would say is make sure everything is backed up and wipe it and start over. maybe install apps one at a time checking that the lock screen works each time to try to pinpoint the app that caused the conflict
That was my next step...was hoping there was a simpler solution
Sent from my LG-E980 using xda app-developers app
Well the wipe worked. Not sure what was causing the conflict as all apps are now restored. Thanks for the suggestions!

Hi, everyone. When I turn my phone, I have to turn off then back on my Wi-Fi so it connect again to my rooter. Then my screen turn off and on about two times. Won't happen again and if I turn phone off and back on, won't be triggered. Rooted and running g3 tweakbox. Started about two days ago.
Any hint?

Just to give more info as I found them. If keyboard is up, it does not flick, but th he rest of the screen does.....
Sent from my LG-D852 using XDA Free mobile app
Using nova launcher prime. Do it on launcher, in some app too. only if wifi disconnected but stayed on. leaving house and comming back, not happening...
Instead of flicking i should maybe say turning off than on, but it is not the screen, since notification and menu bar stay on and they don't turn off. Happen when using nova launcher or home launcher..... Unrooted now to see if it happen again....
even unrooted happening...
And using smart tools flashlight widget, nova launcher flick 2times but not with lg original launcher.... kind of bugging me a bit and it seems I am the only one.....
But not flicking using another flashlight widget.....

Has anyone had any instances where your phone is restarted and once it's finished you notice any missing icons? It does it to me all the time and idk what it could be. Any ideas?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using XDA Free mobile app
it would be helpful if you told us:
-which icons?
-from where? (homescreen? app drawer?)
-is it always the same icons?
i've never seen this on mine
its a touchwiz problem ..... gotta erase data on touchwiz and restart it
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using XDA Free mobile app
I've had this happen on a couple of occasions. Various icons on home screens and app drawer disappear but their titles remain. If you select the missing icon area the app still opens. I have an application, System Panel Task Manager, I use for system monitoring, app backup, etc. I just hit "end all" in the task manager which restarts TouchWiz and the icons are back. I didn't have to erase data to get the icons back. (Wouldn't want to set up my home screens again) Not sure why they disappeared, but it hasn't happened again in a while.

I don't know if this is the same thing but I having a similar problem I am on T-Mobile and I am rooted and I thought root was causing this or the stock ROM I was on
but I would reboot the phone with an app like Quick Boot or C Boot (I think it was called) and all my apps would be out of their folders but the folders still remained
But if I rebooted by the device power menu the apps will stay in their folder
So like now if I wanna get to recovery from an app I would make sure to “save” my setup with the device menu first then reboot with an app...

Yea happened to me too. A few times an icon will not show up like in TouchWiz. Doesn't happen if I use another launcher. So like someone suggested restarting TouchWiz usually fixes it.

Yep. Happened to me once. Reboot didn't fix it. I ended up going into recovery and wiping the cache to fix it.
