Hello, I have a huge problem with my t mobile sgh t999, when i put my wind sim card in it, it shows no network available, and when i try to register to a network, 302490 is displayed instead of WIND. When I try to connect to it, it says that my sim card is unable to select the network.
Anyone got any solutions?
Have you checked if the apn is correct? Is it unlocked? Can you get another SIM from someone and try it?

I have an ATT phone and tried putting a TMO SIM inside. Running Stock 4.3.
1) I am not getting a 'network sim lock' message prompting me to enter a code. I never had it at 4.1.1 to do the unlock code sequence; just 4.0.4 (when I did get the unlock sequence) and now 4.3.
2) Even though the Tmo cell is in, it tells me the phone is not registered on any network.
3) GO to settings > more > Mobile networks and get the 'Insert Sim Card to Access Network Services' even though there IS a sim in there.
Any halp?
I had the same problem when I updated to 4.3, I flashed a modem from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47817339&postcount=23 through CWM and after I rebooted I had data working and the SIM was being read.

Hi, have i747m with stock 4.3 rom yake on sammobile, i have purchase unlock code and working for 2-3 week, now suddently, i have signal but no data and when i go to network my phone says insert sim card, i try 3 different sim card and samething, i try sim card on other phone and the sim work so,
what happen

I'm trying to unlock my phone, I bought used on ebay, I found found a thread here that shows you how to unlock, but can't even do the first step. when I install a different sim card, I don't get the message Unlock, the phone reads the sim as a non support sim.
the sim I'm putting in the phone doesnt have service on it, Is this the reason the unlock message doesn't come up?
Please Help

I put a metro pcs sim that has service on it, but when I try to make a call, it say, not register to network, and or mobile network disconnected? Aso also tried to put the apn setting, but when I try to save the apn setting, they disappear??
Anyone have any idea?

you can use free unlock from general http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2024514
but of course you have to do it from uvkl1. but--you can do a nandroid, and after you unlock it, restore your backup! it will stay unlocked

Seems your phone's ROM/Radio mismatched or not for MetroPCS. This exactly happened to my phone also, until I flashed a new radio for my rom(I am using TMobile, flashed new TMobile ROM but not new Radio. Then it had the problems as you have now).
New sim fixed

The sim card I was putting in the phone was already register to a different phone.. I had to put a new sim, not active yet, then register the new sim to my imei and it worked fine.. I bought the phone used from ebay and it was already unlocked..
I just bought the device on ebay with versions N900TUVUDNF9 baseband/bootloader/PDA/CSC.
Its rooted and sim unlocked.. It accepts Wind SIM Card. Finds WCDMA networks but cannot register on Network.
It works fine with Fido/Rogers/Bell at LTE. IMEI is the correct as indicated on the back of the phone.
I tried to rebuild NV using service menu without options success. Did no tried flashing modems yet.
Just wondering if anyone had similar problem?
I get a used LS980 and It havn't activated with Sprint yet. No Unlocked yet. No Sprint sim card handy. Normally, it show NO Sim card on the phone, but when T-mobile or ATT sim card inseted, it still shows "NO SIM Card" I remove the sim card completely, and reboot the phone and insert Sim again. It still show No sim Card?
Don't they support to show invalid Sim Card if insert ATT or Tmobile sim card in a locked Sprint LS980 phone? I have a Sprint Samsung Galaxy locked with Sprint, If sim card inserted, it show invalid. Same with Verizon locked phone show invalid sim if ATT or Tmobile inserted.
Now, it seem likes a defective sim slot on the phone. without activated or a Sprint sim, how to verify it. Please be advice?

I'm planing to use it on Freedompop. Order a sim from Tint.com could take awhile. While i'm wait for sim arrival, please tell is the sim slot defective or normal?
No one can help? Or test on your LS980 to find if it support to show invalid sim card on your locked LS980?
BTW, This device here still JB 4.2.2 with some of VZ8 firmware. Do I need to unlock for further test?

Then test out the sim cards..
No Sim card detect if it's not Sprint sim card install. NO matter what method I unlock it. Kind of weire..
