Hi experts,
I had changed my G3 to 530dpi, everything working fine, only one thing is the QuickCircle case, the clock is much more smaller the the hole of the case, i tried to use the xpost app setting, but don't know which app should be modify.

I am stuck with the same problem with the clock size and the light animation. I am at dpi 530 from stock value of 640.
You said you were able to fix the clock size.
I have tried various combinations in app settings via xposed for com.lge.clock but the havent been able to fix it yet.
Can you please be kind enough to mention the exact steps with the settings and selections to resolve this issue?

Pdash

You need to hit the checkbox that says something about applying the settings to the widget.
My animation is off, but my clock is fine so I'll live with it.

Thanks.
You have said that earlier also.
I presume you are using the app ops settings in xpose.
Please provide a little more detail about the other values that you have filled up.
I have tried using a value of dpi = 530/640 and font scaling of 75/100 including checking the option to resize widgets.
But none of that worked.
Appreciate if you help a little more please.

I just went over this with a buddy tonight, and it came down to him not having app settings selected in the modules in xposed..
Other than that.. I'm not sure what it could be??
Are you rebooting your phone after you save the settings? It doesn't kill the widget after you hit save.. Some apps it works fine but not this widget that I've seen..
I Have android system (unchanged) and the build.prop at 530, with the clock at 640 (see attached) and my clock looks like normal on the quick circle case.
Running out of ideas if you're doing the above correctly =/

Finally i use the default dpi for system, and use xposed app setting to modify dpi to 530 for other app

That was awesome bro. Thanks for the advice.
I was doing everything.
I was just not rebooting Dumb me
Thanks for mentioning it.
Now the clock size fits the hole
The only thing off is the white animation light.
Any luck with that?

Prasad

Animation is still off for me.. Haven't figured that one out.
Let me know if you figure it out though haha

Anyway to fix the clock size on the lock screen after changing the DPI? I've changed the clock settings as listed above for fixing the clock with the quick circle, but that doesn't appear to fix the lock screen after a reboot.

Mate,
The screenshot posted by Bluerai on page 1 worked for me perfectly.
If you have modified your DPI to 530 for example, make sure you have xposed installed and app op settings installed, check marked and rebooted.
Open app op settings, look up com.lge.clock and open it up.
Modify the settings as mentioned by Bluerai on previous page screenshot. Set to 640 dpi, and check the apply res to widget also.
Then save the settings and press back button once to come back out of com.lge.clock setting page.
Then reboot your mobile and it should work.
It worked for me.
Let us know how it works.

Pdash

No luck. The default circle clock remains unchanged. However, if I turn on lock screen widget and add the digital clock from that, it is scaled properly, but it's the circle clock that I want to use.

Awesome......That worked for me.......Had to save it after applying to the widgets as well and then reboot.....Worked when everything else failed...Thanks a bunch.....

What I did was I only set LGHomelauncher in App Settings to 530. Then I used G3 tweak box to change the app drawer grid and navigation bar size.
makes the launcher look better but everything else works fine.
i also used app settings to change my most used apps like browser, FB, etc..

What app do you all use??? Ops settings? I cant find it on the market and on google first thing that pops up is this thread... I already changed the dpi with system file edit but I have a quickcircle case and its no where close to fitting. Just need the name of the app thanks
EDIT: Nvm found it

Is there still no solution for the scale of the lighting ring of the circle case when changing the system DPI?
I love my circle case (especially with the great Quick Circle Apps from the play store!) and the lighting animation is just awesome, but the system default DPI of 640 is just unuseable
I tried sevaral configurations and googled a lot but in every case there is something that is not perfect. Is it really true that the scale of the lighting ring depends on the systemUI DPI?
What I've tried: (used apps: textdroider_dpi, app settings from xposed framework)
Scenario 1: Set DPI to 530 with textdroider_dpi and clock / quick circle apps DPI with app settings to default 640
In this scenario the system is great, even the apps of the quick circle case fits perfectly - only the lighting animation is not correct (so small)
Scenario 2: Keep default DPI of 640 for the system, but change the DPI settings of my mostly used apps (like whatsapp, homescreen, launcher) to 530
Here the animation and apps are ok, but some important things like the notification bar is still too big. Also you need to change the DPI of every single app to 530 via app settings, which is really annoying.
Did nobody find out where this specific setting could be changed? For me scenario 1 would be perfect if the scale of lighting animation suited.
Another great idea which I read about in another topic: What abound changing the color of the animation from white to a color of your choice? I love customizing my phone so this would be great as well. Unfortunately I am only a web developer and I'm not really familiar with the android system, otherwise I would try to find a solution in the system on my own

you have to enable the appsettings-module in xposed-installer -> modules (checkbox). hope that helps!
---------- Post added at 11:53 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:45 PM ----------
íve set com.lge.clock, com.yoavst.quickapps, com.android.phone, com.android.contact, com.lge.clock to standard 640dpi (with help of xposed appsettings). now everything displays just fine (except of closing animation). hope this helps somebody

But to one has a working solution for the closing animation (lighting ring) with a customized system DPI?

To be honest, this is not tablet mode at all, it has nothing to do with silly build.prop hacks. This is the first and only Android rom to feature true Hybrid mode. This rom lets you scale and project every app, every widget, even systemcomponents individually. Remember, android is modular, everything is an app: Lockscreen, navigationbar, dialogs, popups, keyboards, widgets, and your regular apps of course. Apps have the capability to switch into various designs or layouts according to the device they run on. This can result in a complete new experience as many apps will transform to the better.
Now for every element that you like chose a mode (PhoneUI, Phablet/Nexus-7UI, TabletUI) and/or a size. You are 100% independent of the system DPI which runs nicely in whatever value it has been assigned to. You do not need to boot your phone into a certain DPI. Neither will most of the changes you apply require a reboot. You will not suffer from the myriads of troubles which normally haunt you under build.prop tablet mode. Your market, phone, etc. will all work, apps won't shrink on you unless you shrink them yourself. This project will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the feel of your phone.

2. Search this thread and Cyanogenmods aswell (its our base) for possible reoccurences of your issue and hopefully solutions that may have come up.

ParanoidAndroid JellyBean - v1.99
v1.99
Officially build from sources
OTA Updates are back via goomanager (incorporated on the ROM)
PA version in Settings > About
Fixes and CM merges
crespo4g: fixed gps and sensors
v1.98
Project butter recents in tabUI (2/2)
Quick access hybrid properties by longpressing a recent app
More refined hybrid algorithm to reveal more layout containers
TabletUI toggles
All recent cm merges (Trebuchet, googles 4.1.1 r4 with a whole bunch of fixes for memory leaks, etc)
v1.97
New option: "large" to trick an app thinking the device has a real big screen. some need it, like amazon kindle to jump into tabUI. some even react on it, gdrive will slightly adapt its layout - makes only sense if you give it a small dpi though.
The algorithm to extract the actual layout containers from apk files works more precise and can reveal more than before. there will still be a few apps left who do that layout stuff in java - we will add an override button for that, but in the meantime you can edit /system/etc/paranoid/properties.conf .layout=360 for phone-like UI, 600 for phablet, 720 = tablet, 1280 = super huge tablet
Several bugfixes from us and cm
v1.96
Breakthrough: We can finally target the actual layout containers inside the apk. If an app brings only phoneUI, you see it right away as you only have one UI option. If it brings ten, you will be able to pick each one of em. We're finally away from this Phone/Phab/Tab nonsense.
Total Hybrid engine revamp, alot less clutter, many bugfixes, apps wont make jumps when you load them up because their actual size is calculated by the engine.
Panel is still growing. It brings new options and new preferences that can even change android system settings.
All recent cm10 patches and fixes
v1.9.5
Finally hardware accelerated recents in TabUI, as fluid as ever. The ugly gradient is gone aswell
Paranoid got its own dir in /system/etc/paranoid - pad.prop is not properties.conf
A clean backup properties file is shipped, you can make a full reset in the panel in case you lost it with all the settings you made
Force option can be activated in the panel, good for widget scaling
The DPI sliders in the panel read min/max props from properties.conf, define them as you like
TabUI Recents are back to a bigger size, this is temporary, i'll look for ways to port the phone implementation as project butter skipped the tabUI code
CM fixed alot of features again, we included them all
v1.9.2
Softkeys toggle
Merged CM's theme engine
Fixed a few unclean sources
HDPI adjustments
Fixed Wifi Supplicant
v1.9.1
Hybrid bugfix, finally keyboard/facebook scaling works on JB again without sideeffects
Layout fix for notificationcenter gap in tabUI
Layout fix for recents in phabUI
Speed prefs ask for reboot
New bootani thx to nasaorc
CM10 patches
How to set the workspace mode
How to change an apps Layout and size

What did you ultimately set it to? I tried choosing the tablet mode preset, then put the System UI DPI to all the way up to 240 and still have an unuseable notification bar. I tried a couple of times, but no luck. Also looks like I don't have navigation icons. I figured I'd need to turn on the nav bar, but can't find anything for that yet. Any advice would be appreciated.
Edit: Duh! I found the nav bar and turned it on. I'm also using Nova Launcher, which I thought would make a difference. I tried messing with settings of both the stock launcher and Nova with no luck. It looks like I might be actually changing the size of the icons, but the height of the notification bar area does not change.
One more edit: in full disclosure, I'm using lowrider's custom GApps package, so I'm downloading the one in the OP, just to make sure I'm not causing the problem for myself.
have to ask this, but does this have the volume wake feature?

[HOW-TO][GUIDE] ANY app FLOATING and RESIZABLE MULTI-WINDOW revised

This should work for any 4.1.2 rom for the note 2 that has a working Xposed installer and MULTI-WINDOW capabilities.
THIS IS FAR FROM PERFECT
I have been wanting to make my device float and resize any app. I didn't put too much effort into it until recently. I finally got the settings down to make this possible.
Please keep in mind some apps (especially stock ones) don't like to be resized so they will almost become unusable if they are resized to small, this is one of many reasons why I previously said that this is far from perfect. On the plus side at least it will let you do ANY app !!!!
I used NEXT LAUNCHER PRO for this cause it supports MULTI-DPI a lot better than TW does, but you don't have to it will still work with TW but it makes some of the drawables look weird.
INSTRUCTIONS:
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO A CWM OR TWRP BACKUP AND VERIFY THE BACKUP WAS DONE PROPERLY BEFORE YOU CONTINUE
1: Install XPOSED INSTALLER V. 2.4 from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401

Thanks to @Scalee
Thanks to anyone I may have forgotten
MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS TO PROPERLY INSTALL THE FRAMEWORK, APPSETTINGS.APK, AND MULTIWINDOW240.APK BEFORE YOU CONTINUE
Once the above are installed and working properly as per the instructions in the OP's of the DEV's mentioned above, you can continue:
At this point REBOOT your phone just to be sure all the installations and settings stuck. Open Multi-Window and add an app to it just to make sure everything works properly so far.
Open the App Settings App in your app drawer, should look like the one in this picture:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Search for and open Android System, should look like the one in this picture:
At the top there is an ON/OFF slider (as seen in picture below), slide to the right to turn ON.
Then, CHANGE the DPI to 240, and the Screen (dp) to 800x1280 (also seen in same picture below).
At the top there is a save button, now is the time to hit that, a pop-up will show that says:
Apply Settings: Also kill the application so when it's relaunched it uses the new settings? Click YES
Immediately press and hold the power button to REBOOT.
After REBOOT open the App Settings App in your app drawer again and search for com.sec.android.app.FlashBarService, should look like the one in this picture:
At the top there is an ON/OFF slider (as seen in picture below), slide to the right to turn ON.
Then, CHANGE the DPI to 240, and the Screen (dp) to 480x854 (also seen in same picture below).
At the top there is a save button, now is the time to hit that, a pop-up will show that says:
Apply Settings: Also kill the application so when it's relaunched it uses the new settings? Click YES
Immediately press and hold the power button to REBOOT.
All done!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now to learn how to succesfully make any app that is added to your FlashBar, FLOATING, RESIZABLE.
Turn on MULTI-WINDOW and INSTEAD of dragging out the first app, just CLICK on it and it will open in full screen, It doesn"t look like it now but this will be your first floater lol.
Next drag any random app (like settings or something) out of the FlashBar and drop it.
Now you will notice at the top of the first app that was added to the MULTI-WINDOW now has a PIN on the top left.
Click on the PIN to make it GREEN , FLOATING and RESIZABLE now. To move it grab it by top near the center and pull it around. To resize grab the edge of the left, right, or bottom side and resize.
Next, touch the random second app that is now full screen and hit the back button once and it will go away.
Now with the floater at the bottom, open FlashBar again, find the next app you want to FLOAT, and once again just CLICK on it and it will open in full screen,
next drag any random app (like settings or something) out of the FlashBar and drop it again.
Now you will notice at the top of the first app that was added to the MULTI-WINDOW now has a PIN on the top left.
Click on the PIN to make it GREEN , FLOATING and RESIZABLE. To move it grab it by top near the center and pull it around. To resize grab the edge of the left, right, or bottom side and resize.
Next, touch the random second app that is now full screen and hit the back button once and it will go away.
Do you see a pattern now, do for any and as many apps you want open at once.
Also after you make an app floating you can press the pin again and watch the pin turn GREY and the app will stay floating in the background instead of foreground.
GREEN pin = app floating in foreground.
GREY pin = app floating in background.
When all said and done you should be able to do this with any app:
PROFIT!!!!!!!!!!!
The above mentioned module called XPOSED APP SETTINGS is a wonderful tool for changing individual apps to make them visually fit your liking. Everything I talk about in the next few paragraphs is in direct relation to XPOSED APP SETTINGS.
NOW FOR A LITTLE KNOWLEDGE
Screen density
The quantity of pixels within a physical area of the screen; usually referred to as DPI (dots per inch). For example, a "LOW" density screen has fewer pixels within a given physical area, compared to a "NORMAL" or "HIGH" density screen.
Font Scale
The size of the font in the amount of pre-allocated space; measured by percentage.
Resolution
The total number of physical pixels on a screen; usually known as Screen (dp).
Xlarge Resolution
extra large resolution
Locale
This allows you to change the language of any app individually; without changing your whole system to a different language.
Fullscreen
Force the app into fullscreen mode while hiding the status bar that is easily accessible by pulling down on the top of the screen.
Prevent the app from going into fullscreen mode. Keeps status bar on screen while the app is open.
No Title
Removes title bar from app. Every app I chose this for force closes so don't mark my words.
Keep Screen on
This will NOT let your screen turn off while the app is on the screen unless you hit the physical power button.
Show when phone locked
Leaves app open in the foreground of the lock screen while app is open and on the screen
Orientation
The ability to change whether an app opens (portrait or landscape). The dropdown consists of
(default app rotation). Uses whatever the default orientation that is already written into the app
Normal rotation = Will rotate screen normally
Always portrait = The ability to FORCE the app into portrait mode ONLY
Always landscape = The ability to FORCE the app into landscape mode ONLY
Force auto-rotation = The ability to FORCE the app to auto-rotate (will edit after tested).
Resident
Keeps any app in memory (running in background).
Insistent Notifications
Insistent notifications repeat their audio, vibration, and light settings continuously until canceled. These Notifications are typically used for events that require immediate and timely attention; such as an incoming call or the ringing of an alarm clock.
No BIG Notifications
Makes the app notification in the notification dropdown smaller, like a small preview instead of the normal show everything notification.

If you've come this far than you probably know that some apps look like they might be sized bigger or smaller than other parts of the phone.
That's because the system doesn't change the DPI and Screen (dp) automatically with some/most apps.
After all the changes, the GALLERY app title bar is too big, meaning the DPI did not auto adjust. In order to make everything fit in the title bar you have to lower the DPI to anything lower than 240 for THIS app ONLY.
Every app will need it's own custom setting in order to get it the way you want it. Please DO NOT post that this exact setting did not work for any other app cause it MAY or MAY NOT. Consider yourself warned

HOW TO DISABLE XPOSED APP SETTINGS
Being that this MOD is not perfect, sometimes you might need to disable Xposed App Settings if something goes wrong (example: I made a change to an app that I didn't like, after reboot I went to change the settings back and noticed the app didn't show up in Xposed App Settings, even after several reboots).
TO FIX THIS:
Go to XPOSED INSTALLER in your app drawer (some roms like jedi master have the xposed installer built into a custom app like jedi tricks app that @ptmr3 made for his roms) anyway once in the installer, click on MODULES at the top right corner, then uncheck the box next to XPOSED APP SETTINGS.
NOW REBOOT. You will notice that all the Xposed App Settings aren't enabled anymore.
Then go back to your Xposed App Settings app and find the app you had problems with, that started this disable process.
Now change the settings back to a known good configuration. DON'T FORGET TO SAVE before exit.
Immediately go back to your XPOSED INSTALLER, click on modules and recheck the box next to XPOSED APP SETTINGS to renable it.
NOW REBOOT AGAIN
If you followed the instructions given, properly you should have everything back to the way it was before the problem occurred.
@Fictionles made a HOW-TO make floating Windows minimize. Go check it out and give him thanks here:

I'm on master 16 with sabrekernel 35.6 with the ext2 system data and cache mod.
All of this is amazing with these .phones. I will be finally getting an mhl adapter in the near future. They aren't expensive.
I hadn't looked into Master too much because of the lack of multiwindow, but read in the dev thread that it was working past a certain version. So multiwindow (and this thread's particular mod) does indeed work on 16 for you?

This was done and tested on master 16 with sabrekernel 35.6 and the ext2 system, data, and cache mod. Confirmed. I'm waiting for a response from my brother in law that has an att note 2 with the same set up on whether it worked for him or not.
This is awesome gonna try tonight. Thanks bro. Got this link from the saber 32.2uc kernel thread you posted in.

xposed installer/wanam work

So far, I have enabled 4 way reboot. everything seems to be fine so far. I'm on the supplied stock rom. Taking this slowly as I do not want to encounter something I can't repair. As knox is tripped, you know the rest...
also I have reduced dpi to 300 from standard 320. Will try 280
Charlie
update, 280 seems fine as well...
obviously root is needed
Reducing the dpi scales the fonts and other ui elements down, right? Could you show a screen shot?

It does. However, you need to be careful as to how low (small) you want things to be. Proceed slowly and reboot frequently, as this is a new devise and we do not know the limits of the os. If you crash it, your only recourse will be odin; and sometimes it doesn't work

I've been trying to customize the quick settings section of the notification shade using wanam but haven't had luck getting all components to change colors. The light background of the volume control seems to be tied to a variable not in the theme section as is the green indicators (the color I hate most on the quick settings tiles).
270 DPI is an excellent resolution. See mine below. PLENTY of real estate on that screen now! Oh yeah. And still got room for more.
A good app that I've tested and used is: jrummy app called "ROM toolbox Pro" however only for changing the DPI. Usually I just edit the build.prop file as well too. Xposed installer using the module "App settings" works perfectly to do this.

Hello,
I am a newb in the whole android community (1 month use, but i am a quick learner).
I have already rooted my SGNP and I am trying to research more about what i can and what i can NOT configure in my Note Pro.
For example, thanks to your post here I learned that someone else tried to install Xposed with the Wanam module.
I search a lot for more post of this kind and came up with almost nothing so thats why i think that it will be much appreciated if there will be more sharing of experienced SGNP users of Xposed modules that are safe to use.
I think that my main concern is the lack of understanding about compatibility between other android devices. For example: Can i search for a specific module and find that it works on Galaxy Note 3 and know that it will also work on my Note Pro?
If anyone can help more with links for:
SGNP apps for rooted device
SGNP Xposed modules
SGNP custom ROMs
SGNP Bloatware system apps that can be uninstalled
Thank you for sharing your knowledge
Ray
Primarily what I look for when installing Xposed modules on my Note Pro is feedback in both the description in Xposed Installer for the module and in the XDA support thread for that module on whether or not it's compatible with Touchwiz. If either sources say to stay away I heed that warning.
I'd say if you're unsure of compatibility of a module it doesn't hurt to ask here to see if anyone else has installed it.
As far as bloatware removal I've been hesitant to do so; I've frozen a bunch of things but the only applications/services that I've deleted outright is Knox related ones since freezing those would not stop their services from loading up as cached apps. My issue with trying to uninstall things is I don't want to have to rebuild all of my customizations if I have to factory reset, nor do I want to take the time to do nandroid backups prior to every tweak just to see if the tweak works.

Question: I've made the DPI 270 and the icons are indeed a bit smaller, however now I have a large dead space at the bottom of the screen and also the homescreen. Is there any way to extend the Grid or something? I know the area is usable because I've used Nova and Apex and can use the entire screen, but I'm trying to use the TW Launcher. Screenshot attached.

As the expression goes, you can't teach an old dog new tricks . . TW launcher may have the new magazine UX feature but as far as custom grid sizes to leverage more screen space you're SOL. Switch to Nova or Apex or some other custom launcher.

Changing QuickCircle App DPI

After rooting the ATT 810 G4, I figured I'd go ahead and change the DPI settings through the build.prop. This has been a great improvement of the UI experience, however it looks like the QuickCircle app becomes unusable. Just wondering if anyone else has changed the DPI setting and knows how to keep the normal DPI setting for the QuickCircle app. It seems like per app DPI would be the way to go, but I'm not quite sure how to achieve that right now on the G4. Many thanks in advance!
Without xposed, it's quite difficult to change individual app dpi

I've found that if you use a digital clock for it just the white circle is off Center (accuweather one works fine)
The weirdest thing about this is that the call handling part of the quick circle (I.e. if you are on a call, the phone is ringing etc.) fits absolutely fine.
The circle highlight swish (technical term) doesn't line up either, but the call stuff does. Very odd
Has anyone figured out how to get the circle highlight light working the correct way?
I got the clock aligned correctly but i didnt find the app responsible for the light circle.
/edit
Got it
These are the apps which i changed to stock DPI via App Settings:
com.lge.lockscreensettings
com.lge.provider.lockscreensettings
com.lge.sui.widget
com.lge.smartcover
com.lge.clock

How to increase the size of status bar icons?

Lol, I did everything to get rid of them... never saw any size adjustment for them.
In fact, I increased the dpi value just to make them smaller! Now I can get 12 in the left part!

Just pointing out the irony of what is unwanted for someone, it is desirable for others, anyway, good luck
Well start searching Playstore; "big stutus bar icons"
If you do find an app to do it, it may cost you system stability. Backup your data; it's not a good plan to needlessly install/uninstall apps.
I don't think it's easily doable... but who knows?
Lol, I've been trying to kill the page indicator icons for a year. 3rd party launchers can do this, but an unstable one cost me 2 hard resets by causing a boot loop.
Good luck...
Thanks..I found a great app(super status bar gesture) but it has a problem sometimes its notification bar disappears and original notification bar appears. Also icons cannot be moved. It is not possible to increase the size of the icons, but their size is rather large.
You are welcome.
Are there specific function(s) that you need to be able to see?
There may be a better way...

Hi @absentsound
Seems that, as you have already noticed, there is no easy solution for your request.
What I can suggest, that will have a reasonable chance of success, is the "do it yourself" option. This only requires that you are rooted and eager to fly toward new horizons
The system component that draws the statusbar is SystemUI.apk and, inside it, you will find the images (all the "/res/drawable/sec_stat_sys_*.spr" files) and several XML files that coordinate the overall layout.
Rooted or not, to start inspecting it, navigate to and copy the following file to your desktop
Code:
/system/priv-app/SystemUI/SystemUI.apk
Now you can rename it to .zip and extract or just view its contents. You will not be able to edit the files per se as they are "compiled" (don't mind now with this term).
So, as I said, it's doable and just requires will. If you say so, we all may be able to guide you through the process.
Best regards.

Thank you very much for your keen interest..Root option I am trying to avoid. I tried it on the Note 9 .. Yes, you get full control and you will be able to install a custom ROM, but you will face a problem with the bank app and the security folder and warranty on the device. I am trying to search for an alternative option, a new Note 10 device since very few days.
There is an inquiry ... my device is still on Android 9 and I do not want to adventure and upgrade to Android 10 sixth security update because I cannot return after that ... because Android 10 does not support programs to change Arabic font such as wings font-gxfont . and the original Arabic fonts from Samsung are very bad.
any one has android 10 sixth security update Did you not notice the increase in the size of the status bar icons when increasing the size of the screen to the maximum? Was this problem solved in the latest update?

Hi @absentsound
I did try lowering the DPI at Settings / Developer options / Drawing / Minimum width. My default value was 411dp and I've changed, just for fun, to 300dp. Everything got bigger BUT the statusbar ... so it's a no go for your request.
I'm not rooted too but it is, unfortunately, the prerequisite to the only solution I can propose.
Good luck on your quest.
Nice regards.
.
You could use individual apps/widgets to replace them.
I use the Energy Ring to replace the battery indicator..
Other than that my stutus bar is black. Everything else I need is on the pull down notifications.
Like you I'm still running Pie; Q is a downgrade for me.

The idea is to use widgets to replace the icons.
There is an app called "time and memo" is a very old one, but works surpringsingly well, it allows to display several things, can be out anywhere on the screen, is of the floating type, can be adjusted in size and color for each indicator, also you can choose when to be shown or not, it might be useful for op, there is another one called "cool tool" which is somewhat alike time and memo, but has some other functions, take a look
Cool Tool looked real promising but can't even run right on Pie.
It was a mess. Played with it for close to 30 minutes.
It couldn't set itself for accessibility permissions, a reboot and 2 data resets didn't help.
It's overlay display was uncontrollable and couldn't show battery current, net bandwidth, cell strength and so on.
Not a prayer for it running on Q...
Thank you for your cooperation ... What do you think about this? I think I have come up with the ideal program ..super status bar. paid
