Is there a way to make charge faster? - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone could help?

I use my tab's charger to charge my note2. It charges very quick compared to my note2's charger.

You can flash custom kernel which contains different charge values
But this is not very stable and good for battery.

What to do?is dangerous for my note?must stop recharge? I used about 2 times every day for full recharge and in this time i use internet.

Is it Chinese?
Is it from a trusted company?
Did you noticed any battery drain or lesser battery life or longer charging time with normal charger?
Possibilities are the car charger isn't optimal for your phone.
Buy from a known store or a Samsung dealer or some other trusted or reputed store.

It's samsung...i used before for my galaxy s player.also galaxy charging curent show me 1698 with 1800 1800 wich is perfect,no?it takes about 2 hours i think to recharge...i don't know what to do because i need it...my invertor 12v-220 v is broken so i can't use wall charger.

Try the charger with some other phone.
You really need to charge it with a wall charger or pc to property diagnose the cause.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
Hmm i'm almost sure now that is because of perseus kernel.

Install "Battery widget Reborn!" or any other app that has such feature - and tell us how many degrees does the battery heat up to. If it's over 40-50 celsius, there's definitely something wrong with it.

[Q] The Best Way to Charge Battery Galaxy Note 2?

Maybe this question has been asked many time. But I still didn't found the right answer.
My question is really simple.
With current Galaxy Note 2 batteries technology. Which one the best way to Charge it?
A. charge whatever we want
B. charge when batteries below 20%
C. charge whatever we want without waiting until it full charge
D. charge whatever we want and pull off without waiting batteries completed (full charged)
E. charge when batteries below 20% and never pull of before it full charge
F. do whatever we want and we need. Batteries on Galaxy Note 2 is clever that we think
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda premium
The answer is letter A.
We predict what we want with the battery not the other way around.
Charge it when you want to.
And plug off without waiting batteries fully charged?
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda premium
best ans probably be A.
lithium ion battery life will getting poor as the number of cycle it charge-discharge no matter you charge at what percentage.

Galaxy note II charging slowly

Hello I don't know if I can find some help here but I'm currently running tweaked Rom on my GNII and have since then noticed that it charges very slow. I've got two different samsung chargers and they both do the same thing. While it's plugged in it seems to still lose juice. It charged for over 6 hrs and only made it to 45% has anyone encountered this issue?? Thank you.

You have tweaked voltage control of your rom. Which tweak tool you've used? Check if there any reset to default option available. If not, reflash rom with all three wipes. Everything will be fine then.

I haven't noticed any type of voltage control on the other tweaked Rom. Thing is i used my brothers charger at his house and it charged ridiculously fast. Even now I've had it plugged into the computer at school and it's been at 59% for last 4 hrs. I know it's not the same voltage but it just hasn't moved at all.

If you don't want to fresh flash a new rom, try with a new full set charger.

Try installing app call Galaxy Charging Current in the Playstore
It has free and paid apps .. just get the free app to test your charger current to your phone
Only pay attention to the value on Maximum .. You should be getting at least 1000mAH to 1800mAH ..
normally I would get 1200-1500 mAH .. You will be very lucky to get 1700-1800mAH
Samsung are well known for the bad usb cable data which often cause slow charging ..
Bad cable will only flow 500mAH too your phone and that pretty much like charging through PC which will take forever to full charging

Yap, that's why I've recommend a new fulls set charger. I am using the plug of GTab and the cable is a nokia one. I've also faced slow charge and I've left the samsung cable.

Sometimes just replacing the samsung usb cable data will fix the problem .. Most of the time the culprit is the usb cable data
Another best option is to use Blackberry usb cable data.. their cables are good and more durable somehow compare to samsung cable
You're most likely using the charging cable of another phone. Use the note ii cable that came with the box. I used my S2 cable and the voltage is only around 780. Thenote ii cable got to 1800, big different.

If avatar is touchwiz based then you can use Perseus kernel. If its AOSP based then you can't unfortunately..

Problem charging while note is on

Hi today found out that my note is acting strange whenever I try to charge while its on it wont let me the charging icon shows with a big red cross on it and wont charge a bit it just keeps draining. Tried while its off and it works normally , disturbs me to have to turn it off each time I want to charge it, anyone experienced this before?

are you using the stock charger. if not make sure that the aftermarket charger is a 2A charger.
Its the usb connection signal. Mine did that occasionaly too, but not lately. It should recognize its charging after a second or two

i have no issues when using stock charger and cable, I run across this with other charges and cables that are less than 2 amps though
what kind of charger are you using or cable?
Thanks for your answers guys its the stock one which makes this kinda strange.
Yes this has happened to me on a couple of occasions. Unplugging and plugging it back in solved the problem. I also discovered that not only does the charger matter, but I got different results (charging times) using the same charger but different cables. Maybe there are different guage wire used in the cables?

yes, the cable also matters to handle the extra amps, so you need both the stock charger and cable combo
My stock cable went bad somehow and I had the same problem. It wouldn't charge at all. Even overnight

After reading this thread, I went and downloaded an app called Galaxy Charging Current. I know there are a lot of battery management apps out there, but this is a really simple, basic app that tells you how many amps are flowing thro the charger and cable to your device. My device using OEM pulls 1.8A.
I'll be buying a car charger from Amazon and will use this app to determine if it performs as claimed.

[Q] first charge on my note is taking 8 hours and counting

Hey so I just picked up my GN2 from verizon yesterday and ran the battery down to zero so it could get a full 0-100% charge but i plugged it in at around 10 PM and its 8 AM now and the battery is only on 71%. I am using stock battery and supplied charger and cable plugged into the wall.
Is this normal for it to take this long to charge or is t just because its the battery's first full charging?
Install galaxy current charge app from store.
It should show 1800
This is common issue of Note2 cable.

As dr.ketan says it's a known fault and is probably your cable going faulty
