What do you have enabled? Maybe try shutting down Google now and location, might help some, granted shouldn't have to do that in order to get good battery life.
Might have some wake locks as well.
i dont see anything wrong with it? i keep mine at 23 and my screen time is the same as urs
No Google now or location, only settings I have on are Bluetooth, sound, sync, WiFi and rotation.

you wont see much or any power savings from switching to a lower resolution..no matter what the resolution is your display is still having to drive all X amount of pixels that your display physically contains. get a lower power screen usually lower res ones will be lower power and thats about the only way. dimming helps too. just a few notches dimmed from full/half can make a world of difference. all the pixels will still be lit regardless of resolution used

Assuming you are right, there is still much battery savings from lowering the resolution because the processor doesn't need to push as hard to drive the lower resolution.
I've lowered mine and definitely saw a difference.

What runtime are you using? If you are on ART then I'd suggest going to Dalvik. Significant boost in battery life. My battery is quite solid.
huge picture...sorry.
Anyways, on 83% battery life, been using it today streaming music and browsing while at the office.
Im getting 2.5 to 3 hours screen time from 100%to 50% with auto brightness.

So, I've been using CleanGB 1.1.2 for a few weeks, and I tried flashing a cm7 rom. Didn't like how much issues I was having, so I restored my old CleanGB rom. Ever since, my battery life is pathetic. I have an extended battery, usually charge it from 40% to 100% while I sleep. Now, its always charging because it dies so fast.
Take a look at the links, anyone have any answers? Thank you!

Try wiping battery stats....
If you don't know how the process works you can look at Qbking77's video on it- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbYVv4nCveM
Percentages don't tell us anything. What is your display on time? What is listed in running services? How much deep sleep is your phone getting? These are all that matter, not the battery screenies.
If you have 30 minutes screen on time with high intensity and are syncing something in a poor signal area that percentage is typical. If your phone is just sitting there and it drops that much an hour later then there is an errant app not closing.
Wiping battery stats does nothing... id recommend follow kenny's advice here, we can't really help you if you don't help us help you =].

Problem is clear, all stats are fine except android system and display,no way is display that low it should be at least 60% the higher the better as it uses the most battery out of the lost batt, android system is way to high and I don't think there is a way to check what exactly it is, I would say flash a new rom.I had abnormally high cell standby and the other cell think I forgot the name haha, flashed a new rom (reaper 2.2.2) and I've had normal stats with display using the most. Hi Frndz i came across this app n it really really cool... a must try for all battery savers and it works like charm
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eugene373.cpu.sleep&feature=search_result
NOTES BY AUTHOR
### Attention, Root Required Application!! ###
What is it?
Its a fairly simple App that will put CPU 1/2/3 OFFLINE when the screen turns off. Once the screen comes back on, it will allow CPU 1/2/3 back ONLINE.
How does it work?
Since we have Dual & Quad core CPUs, we have a CPU 0 and a CPU 1/2/3, core 0/1/2/3, while the screen is off we really only need to have 1 core active "CPU0", this App will make sure CPU 1/2/3 shuts off while the screen is off, then resumes normal usage when the screen comes back on.
Compatibility?
Works with any Dual Core & Quad Core Devices!
Battery Saving?
Battery savings all depends on Usage & idle times.
Trying this. I'll post my report later.
Thanks for the info
thank y:good:
have by it

Install stock kernel
Enable power saving mode (only cpu option)
Then use this app.... when u see cpu stats u will see deep sleep mode enabled instantly when screen is off....
Gives me amazing batt life n when i game i simply disable power saving mode n it works like charm...

I have WiFi and Sync on and my battery do not seems to discharge (I don't know if it was already like this before, but it's impressive)
I'll deactivate this, try the same experience, and post a screenshot of the result
I don't really like the power saving mode, but I'll try these options
Well does it still sync all the stuff it is supposed to with this tool enabled? (Gmail, Twitter and what not?)
Its important when testing this app, to ensure you do not use powersaving mode.... I bet powersaving mode is actually doing ALL the work and the app, nothing.
OR, first use powersaving mode without the app.
What the OP is suggesting is you use the APP and powersaving mode. Well of course powersaving mode saves power (the clue is in the title) so how can anyone tell how good this app, (that simply turns off the cores like the SGS3 already does) really is?
It costs money too?
What?!

Turn off the Location access, and dim the screen as much as you like... I just got 36hrs with 3hr screen time with only those changes... To undervolt, you need to be running a custom kernel, and use a tool like SetCPU, Voltage Control, or KTweaker if the kernel is KT... To get into recovery, use the advanced power menu, or while it's off, Vol Up + Home + Power... Check your APN settings for LTE...
I've found that undervolting is a pain, and doesn't save me anymore battery than stock voltages... Mess around with it and decide...

I'm sure it has some sort of battery use, it's always looking for motion... Whether turning it off or not will help a noticeable amount, I'm really not sure, it's a TouchWiz feature, I haven't ran a TouchWiz ROM the entire life of my phone...
Any TouchWiz junkies out there who have noticed a difference turning it off?
find and eliminate wake locks. disable bloat apps. run a good light rom with battery saving kernal. turn off what you dont need. thats all really. if your battery is dying fast find whats keeping your phonw awake and do something about it. I can go to bed with phone at 100 and wake up 8 hours later at 99. also go to bed 50 and wake up 49 etc. you should expect the same. on 3g I get at least 5 hours of screen if im heavily using all day. but battery life is up to you. you want to be minimalist like me you can expect similar results.

I squeezed 7 hours display (18+ hours standby) on a single charge with auto brightness on and LTE and sync on all the time. Routinely I get 5+. I would say, get a good rom n kernel combination (only way to know is to try out).

use rootdim app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.pruss.superdim
your phone must be rooted, there is no app for non rooted phones as it need special permission for brightness control
If you are rooted use
XPosed -> Gravity Box -> Statusbar Tweaks -> Enable brighness controll
Adjusts brightness by sliding over statusbar. Best I think....

I usually don't advertise, but I used Lux Auto Brightness for a while now, no root required and it is just perfect. Set it to " Adjust On Wake" and "Auto Day/Night mode", adjust the right brightness for the current time and ambient light situation a couple of times and you have perfect screen brightness (bellow zero brightness possible) for the current situation at no battery cost.

I think you would have to lower the screens voltage below what the manufacturer has intended to achive that. I don't even think that would be possible without a moded kernel or something ... and not sure if that's worth the extra 20minutes of screen time...

Audio is one, full backups another, ad blocking via host file is a big one for me... Not so much on this phone, but usualy being able to change hardware button configuration is a must for me. I'm sure there are many more that escape me right now.

can you tell me you reassigned your hardware buttons for what? like skippng music?

I had a Htc Desire X before and it has a badly placed power button. Once rooted, I could mod it so the volume buttons would turn on the phone as well. (They'd still function as vol buttons once the phone was on)

Goto Settings , Display, Resolution and choose 1920x1080 (FHD)!
Doing so will reduce the load on GPU and CPU, as lesser pixels to calculate... This improves UI fluidity and battery life, and you won't hardly notice any difference!
Try it!

Thank you kind sir it worked.
On the tmobile version, it's under Device Maintenence / Battery / Power Saving, then you have to customize the Mid or Max savings to the resolution you want.
