hey everybody,
Ive unlocked my htc one m8s booadloader, installed Cyanogenmod 11 has and it just worked finde .. after taht i wanted to test paranoid android, so ive installed via recovery (bevore i made a wipe) - and it also has worked perfect. then I wanted to install the gapps after that, so i flashed the zip file via CWRP. it has installed without error, but when rebooting the screen doesnt go on and it is alwas black. when I do a hard reset with power button and volume up, the white screen with htc logo and the red warrienty text appiers, but then it shot down again. please help me what have i to do?
thank you
When you plug it into the computer does the computer make a ding sound that it's connected? If so, then press power and volume up until the disconnect ding sound which indicates it's rebooting and then immediately press volume down and see if you can get into fastboot. The timing is tricky so I've found using audio cues from computer can help if the phone is messed up.
Go into fastboot, flash the latest TWRP, sideload or copy onto a sdcard a nandroid backup and back it up through twrp. that should do it

Run the official RUU manually while your phone is connected via your PC.
You should be able to download it from here via shipped-roms.com
EDIT: Ah.. just read what you mentioned about it being stuck in a bootloop.
Once you download the RUU, like to your Desktop, power off your phone (pull out the battery, and put it back in) (this will switch off your phone)
Hold volume down button. and while holding it press the power button. When the white screen (Bootloader) appears that means you are on the right track (if it doesnt, do the same thing again, power off your phone, and try again)
Now plug in your phone to your pc. (With usb cable) and on the phone it should say HBOOT USB PLUG (white letters with blue background behind the letters)
Press Power button again. Just a short press)
Now there should be "FASTBOOT USB" (white letters with red background behind the letters)
Don't touch the phone anymore
On your PC, start the file you downloaded, and follow the on screen instructions. This installation will take some time, like 15minutes.
thanks for the help, it worked well! after installing the official rom it is booting again. Thanks!

Ok, no problem. Thanks for the response.
I have same problem but when i run the update it completes but goes back to the htc screen and stays there.
My Incredible is stuck in bootloop, but here's the kicker, I can't use anything in hboot..it just brings me back to bootloop.
Also, when I plug the phone into the comp, it doesn't come up as a drive, just said android bootloader under drivers.
How can I fix this?

If you pull the battery, will it boot into recovery (power on & hold down volume) - where you could restore a backup?
Nope.
I bought a new SD card as well, thinking it may be that. Didn't work.
Dloaded the PM31IMG file and that didn't work. Downloaded RUU and it couldn't find phone...
I'm running out of options. What else can I try?
Also, I can't flash because I can't access recovery..it goes back into bootloop
UPDATE!
Phone recognized the PB31IMG file, I selected update then asked me to reboot..then I got back to bootloop..
Anyone have an idea?
That's weird that you can access hboot to update the PBM file, but not be able to get into recovery. On my phone, at hboot (and it takes a few seconds to COMPLETE the hboot process - don't touch anything, just watch), it asks whether I want to update and I can use the down rocker to say "no".
Then other options appear: Fastboot, Recovery, Clear storage, etc. Using the down rocker, I can highlight RECOVERY, and then hit the power key on top to go to Recovery.
At which point does your phone start to bootloop?
UNIQUE SITUATION....... Long story short. Have LG G3 LS990, I accidentally deleted twrp stock backup from sd card, and was stuck with running CM 12.1. Then I flashed the wrong zip file using twrp to get stock firmware back. It was for a different model number, verizon I think. After that I could only boot in recovery, but twrp would not recognize/restore the CM 12.1 backup from sd card. I had a CM based Crdroid rom zip on my PC which I transferred to sd card and flashed in twrp. It worked and after the initial setup the the phone would just cut off. Went to stock recovery and factory reset. BAD IDEA! I cant get into download mode, it will flash the icon and then cut off when I plug into pc while holding vol down. Cant get into any recovery, tried all options to do so. Only option I have is to pwr on device, it goes into the Crdroid Cyanogen based rom and cuts off 15 seconds later. looked at many threads to fix problem, but nothing works because PC wont install drivers when phone is connected. When the rom opens up the pc will recognize the phone but only for 15 seconds before it cuts off. I have to remove the battery just to start up again. No recovery, download mode, adb/fastboot interface. Phone only powers on, show LG...powered by android screen, then goes into boot animation for CrDroid [the one with the eye of horus], and then i have about 15 second to swipe up and go into app folder, setting, etc. Then it just cuts off.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi every one, i ****ed up my phone. i am much new to android phones and dont know anything about development. 1 week ago i got a second hand phone from a friend. i dont know whether it was rooted, unlocked etc. but Teamwin was installed on it. i came to know this when i factory reset that phone.
then i received a notification to update it to marshmellow. i downloaded the update and restart the phone to install this. team win opened. i dont know what exactly i did but i wiped everything on fastboot including system, internal storage, cache etc
now my mobile is stuck to white sreen with htc logo. it does not shut down only restarts when i press volume up and power button.
when battery is finished, i plug the charger it momentarily shows teamwin but with lock on it. means i cant access teamwin on it.
plzzzzzz help me what to do??
thanks in advance.
Whats your device id A5_ dig or dwg...????
as soon as it goes black screen from vol up+power switch to vol down+power and hold until it goes to hboot.
then you can go to recovery to install a rom (put it on an external sd card and insert into the phone before choosing recovery)
if you don't have external sd, plug it into pc to power on, you should be able to get to internal storage on pc to move rom .zip to the phone.

I did the same, but i got zip file error, during installation thru TWRP in my HTC desire 816(not 816g)-INDIA version.
yesterday i unlocked the bootloader, and used ADB and FASTBOOT to flash TWRP 3.0.2 and then rooted by flashing superSU v2.76
the phone was still S-on
i attempted to modify the buildprop file and used TWRP to mount system and copy the file over to /system/
i did have other things ticked as being mounted, like /data and one other partition that escapes me now.
anyway, i copied the buildprop back and used CHMOD755 but thought choosing 644 would be better so i choose CHMOD but entered 0644 as it was asking for 4 characters. after hitting boot system the phone just went black, trying to boot into bootloader mode now doesn't work, nothing happens. the only way i get any sign of life out of the phone now is by holding volume up and power. then the phone will boot for about 5 to 6 secs before going black screened again.
so i can't boot, cant enter recovery or bootloader.
usb debuggung was ticked previously but i'm not sure i even have a working rom now. ADB fails to find a device and trying
Code:
abd reboot bootloader
just brings
Code:
error: device '(null)' not found
am i totally screwed ? or is this something i can fix ???

Connect to PC so you can hear connect/disconnect sound.
Press & hold power + volume up buttons to force reboot, once you hear the disconnect sound on PC, release both buttons and quickly press & hold volume down button. This will take you to hboot, select recovery and restore your backup or install ROM zip

connecting up to PC i don't get any "bing bong" sounds at all. if i try booting with volume up and power while connected to PC i still don't get the bing bong, quickly switching to holding volume down as you suggest doesn't stop the phone going back to black screen.
HEEEEELLLLP !!!!!
EDIT: additional info
the phone has been this way for a few hours now and twice in that time the phone has started booting up by itself (without me touching it), only to go back off again the same as every other time...
EDIT: after leaving the phone to go nuts all by itself and let the battery run down and recharging it, I was able to get back into bootloader mode and recovery to restore a backup.
I am now happily running GPe MM, and about to test out ElementalX
