Flashable Zip and stripped FTF for rooted 4.3
Part 1: http://d-h.st/IwR
Part 2: http://d-h.st/Gwj
Are these files to be run with the same procedure as the one already posted (c650x)?.
If I'm on the journalist firmware, should I downgrade first, or is it OK to do it over the journalist one?
Regards

The first file is the unmodified version and can be flashed with flashtool (there's no root).
The other is the exact same process as in Nut's thread, (files were created with his tutorial). Earlier you needed to flashback to 4.2.2 because there was no root on 4.3 and therefore no DualRecovery. If you have recovery, then just flash the zip, poweroff and flash the stripped ftf. Same process...nothing is different.

Is it easy to build this kind of (NUT)-zip out of an ftf? Would like to have a german c6503 zip for NUT's method.

Cool
I have an C6506 on Android 4.2.2 with Compilation 10.31.A.2.67 and it's rooted
My question is: What steps do I have to follow to install the flashable version? and What are the differences between the official one and the flashable?

The official version simply flashes your phone back to stock by removing root and recovery. If I ever sale the phone, ill use that file to restore everything back to factory.
Steps for flashable version:
1 - Since you are already rooted and I assume you have recovery, upload the flashable zip on your SDCard
2 - Flash the ZIP using recovery and power off WITHOUT rebooting
3 - Flash the stripped FTF using FlashTool
Boot your phone and you're done
What if my phone is not rooted, bootloader is locked and is on .569 (4.3) version?? Thanks.

My bootloader is locked too and is unlockable (at the moment), bootloader isn't important. If you want root on your 569, you have no choice, you need to flash back a stock FTF 4.1.2 or 4.2.2. whichever version works with DoomLord's 1 click root method. Once that is done, you install recovery and flash the zip via recovery, power off phone, flash stripped FTF via Flashtool and you're back on rooted 569.
Flashback to 4.1 o 4.2?? Tried flashing the .423 kernels only buy my phone get's stuck on the boot "sony" screen. Any tips?

Which firmware did you flash back to? 10.3.1.A.0.244
1 - Flash 244 FW
2 - Flash Kernel from 423 and reboot phone
3 - Root using "DooMLoRD_Easy-Rooting-Toolkit_v18_perf-event-exploit"
4 - Flash back Kernel from 244
and then go on with installing recovery to perform next steps to go back on rooted 569
It has to work, I did a million times!
If your stuck on a bootloop right now, just flash back the whole 244 FTF. it will put you back on full stock.

.244 or .267 FW. I ask because I read on another thread that I had to flash the COMPLETE .267 fw. Is this accurate?? The .267 I have, where can I get the .244?
Additionally, what did you use to back up your app data on the .569 fw? Thanks again.

You can do it with the 67 as well. Process is the same so either 244 or 67.
I always use Titanium Backup to make a backup of all my apps/games, I have the paid version coz I have about 100 apps and don't feel like restoring them 1 at a time afterwards.
I just got an OTA notification about the new 10.4.1.B.0.101 on my phone. Ill probably be creating the files for this one tonight, so maybe you should wait another day before flashing the 569 .... 101 is newer. :victory:

I'm not rooted so TBU is a no go for me. What other back up method would you suggest?
The main reason for rooting now is because I also received the 101 update notification. Better to root now before stuff really gets complicated... again, thanks for the help.
Looking forward to your new. 101 fw (flashable zip and stripped ftf). Got the Ota too for 35mb but won't install, guess because I am rooted(Lb)

I created that one too. I just didn't get a chance to upload it. Will do it either tonight or tomorrow... :highfive:
Would this work on C6502 model?
Did you upload the 101 FW yet?
What other method of back up can be used besides titanium BU? Thanks again.

Back up your current data using titanium back up,then update to the newer firmware,re root it and then restore the user apps via titanium back up(don't restore system apps might give FC's)
Hi-
I have rooted my device. Bootloader unlocked. Now my doubt is:
1. If I will still receive Kitkat update from Sony?
2. Can I be able to just download the same and install?
3. If yes, what will happen to my root?
Regards

Yes you will get a notification that an update is available, but your phone wont be able to install it (since bootloader is unlocked).
Thus, to apply the update, you need flash the stock firmware via flashtool.
And yeah, you'll lose root access once you flash the firmware. Just flash su binary via recovery to get it back.
Hope this helps.

Thanks @sohailferdous.... but I have few doubts - 1. I know the process of flashing a firmware via flashtool....but for that your need the ftf file...so is there a way to get the stock ftf file? Because .253 ftf india is still not available. The one present is AUS version
2. When you say SU binary I take it that its the SU zip file which is present in Doomlord's root update.

1. The AUS version should work on all phones.
2. Yup, the SU zip file on Doomlord's root update will work fine.

Hi,
I have a T2 Ultra Dual (Chinese Version ... XM50h) flashed it with the Australian firmware. Works great and shows now as D5322. Today I read about Kitkat Update - I'd connected the phone to the PC Companion - Companion started to download the Kitkat Update but when it shutdown the phone to install the upgrade I got the message that there is a modified software on the phone - update can not continue (Error2003)
Is it possible to get a flashable file out of PC Companion?

Strange - bootloader should be locked - how can I check if it is locked/unlocked?
When I try to flash 4.4.2 unbranded firmware from Ashwin - flashtool stops after the bootcode and nothing happens. Flash failed (so says the phone after rebooting. PC Companion repair does not work.
Reflash of the Australian 4.3 works - phone is up and running after 4.3 flash ...
Strange ...
Found a solution by myself!
Downloaded recent Flashtool (0.9.16)
Clicked on BLU
relocked bootloader (I had forgotten that it was unlocked)
Rebooted the phone
Started PC Companion
Update to 4.4.2
Sucess

Hello,
I have 14.4.A.0.108 (Generic UK) installed and today I got a notification that update is available. Sadly, after the download of 4,4MB file finished I got an error "could not verify" and now this notification is stuck. How to fix this? Thanks
Freeze update center then reboot.

Is this the new .108 version (camera improvements...) ? If it is just flash the corresponding ftf (this one is ok) and then you'll not recieve this update anymore
BTW if you want deodexed one, after installing generic ftf follow this
Do you have unlocked bootloader?

Yes, I do. That is how I installed .108, because it was not available in my region at that time.
You dont need to unlock bootloader if you want to install any kind of stock rom or even custom with stock kernel. Unlocked bootloader is require if you want to install custom kernel. And that that your update can not be veryfied is because you have unlocked bootloader. I hope that you backup your keys to lock bootloader again

Thanks for the post, especially including flashable firmware. Has anyone with US ATT model tried this yet? Do you know where I can find US 4.4.4 firmware to go back if needed? I have searched, but no luck on this apparently orphaned device.

Hi all! Thank you for this post because it was useful to me.
I have the htc desire eye and I have well flash this rom stock via twrp 2.8 on my eye and must say that Rom works very well. The only concern I have is when I try to do a software update; It finds an update, downloads it but it can not install it. It displays the following error message: "It seems that you are using a modified version of htc software then for your security we can not install the update."
So please, could anyone help me ??
Thank you!
