Root again, maybe you use restore backup app but not Rooted before.
Root it using "Root tool" application. Then install optimus G recovery apk from the forum...and reboot recovery . then use 3 wipes and reboot. After reboot connect usb cable.

ady re-root it, can you give me step-by step to install that optimus G recovery app+the link to download it? search it on forum and cant found it. im newbie btw
I faced the same problem with my F180s.
To fix this annoying bug, just connect your phone via a USB hub.
Change your connection to anything like [MTP] or [LG software] (I prefer the later).
Then unplug and plug your cable between USB hub and PC, do this a few times and your phone will vibrate, which means that your phone is now connected.
now the phone full rooted, but the USB still cant connect to my computer. ady try other cable/computer, reinstall driver. it only detect slowcharging, not MPT option (ady change in setting-pc connection+enable debug too)

I am not rooted. Have yet to figure it out. I have rooted everything I had but this device. Followed albert wertz method for my last device. It was fine but maybe its a samsung update or a win update; I am not sure what the issue is. I am just trying to transfer files from cell>pc vice versa. Drivers are installed and trying the samsung toolkit too but it apparently thinks that debugging mode isn't checked cause it gets stuck there everytime.

Hope I'm giving the right answer. this is what i found in the C drive under the samsung toolkit folder
Samsung_USB_Driver_1.5.15.0
drivers
I can't post links yet, but do a search on google "samsung l710 drivers" and hit the first link. It should take you to Samsung's website and you can get the drivers there.
Also, check if the device is in the right mode by doing the following:
On the dialer, dial *#7284# (*#PATH#).
Set the UART to PDA.
Click on Qualcomm USB Settings and change it to MTP+ADB.
If it was set to RMNET + DM + MODEM for example, checking the USB Debugging option will not enable debugging.
Hi,
my g pad from 2 days has a little problem... plug and pop stopped working every time i plug the cable for charger or the adapter for usb device...
is very annoying... I've tried an factory reset but problem is there again... I tried with another cable and another AC\DC adapter nothing works.
I'm trying with LG mobile support tool but this tool show to me "seems you have the latest software installed" how I can fix this problem? and how I can force the installation with LG mobile tool?
P.S. I'm in stock with root access
I get the same but don't use plug and pop for anything, so not an issue for me. What do you use it for?

Hi,
I'm really idiot and I need you help!
Rooted my G3, then removed some bloat apps.
Installed Nova and removed LGHome, due to I'm prefer Nova.
After that, I've do a wipe, in order to configure my device, but after device boots it FC at the end of the SetupWizard and
I can't use it.
The problem is that no Launcher is installed (I have deleted LGHome manually and Nova has been deleted in the Wipe).
I'm can't connect via ADB due to the device has not enabled it in settings (due to the wipe).
How can restore device functions?
Thanks
If u can enter recovery, flash launcher via adb (i saw .zip sony launcher on xda)
or restore via download mode

Really I'm a bit (too much) idiot...
Finally configured my Wifi and Google account in the Setup Wizard and installed Nova from Play Store web.
For anyone interested: I can't update via the PCSuite due to it requires that the phone was connected via usb using PTP and, after a wipe, the connection is started using MTP protocol.
Thanks to all!

You can boot the phone up to download-mode by press volyme up and put the usb in. From download you can let LG flash your phone. Its possible you have to give it your imei or serial if the soft doesn't connect correct. Ive normally used that one on G2 but so far I have only unrooted the G3 from insida Android.
I am trying to go to download mode with my G3 ( mobile is working fine ) but when I press and hold Volume up and connect USB cable to PC, the phone turns on and boots normally.
I noticed even in normal situation if I turn off my mobile and try charging while it's off, it turns on automatically!
Any comments how I can go to download mode?
I have lost the original USB cable coming with the device. Can it be the reason? Is LG G3 usb cable special?

It's so weird to me. This is my first mobile phone with such a problem. I've tried all possibilities. USB 2.0, different cable, different pc, different OS. All I get is a restart when I hold down the up key and connect the cable! I have bought this D855 from Hong Kong and it's on rooted stock 10b and all I get from my 4G sim is E (EDGE) while I have activated lte in mobile network menu. So, trying another official rom is critical to me.

It's on stock as without download mode, I can't flash any rom or recovery.
It's more weird when even ADB can't send phone to Download mode. When I enter "adb reboot download", mobile is only rebooted.
By the way, I wonder if it's also so for you that when phone is off, if you connect charger, device is turned on! I remember when I had Samsung, when mobile was off and I connected charger, a battery icon showing the charge progress appeared only.

I asked about what recovery you had.. cous I had a similar problem with my samsung s3.. when phone off and conect cable the phone starts up. That depended on some bad recovery. Also on my old Htc desirehd things like that happened. But i dont have any deep knowleage about this..
Have you tried to use Lg's official update tool. Under that app you could update phone after a bad update. (Via the menu in app) It would be my next try.. that resets the whole phone but it could be the cure. Take a backup of the internal sd first.

I'm in a bit of a pickle...
Phone is dead, I'm unable to wake it using any method, however PC sees the device being connected. I have tried to restore TWRP backup which was completed correctly but then phone stuck and failed to wake up again. I have tried to unbrick it using the LG flash tool and dll +tot files however this method fails each time -with factory model check error - and download fail notification. Right now im waiting for kdz file to download (im using the tool checking my imei to select correct one) but it takes ages with my internet.
Anyone has any ideas? Am i doomed?
Hi
Happened to me also. I got out of it by using LG flash tool and clicking on options and selecting restore recovery. It puts it back to stock and you then need to reroot etc.

Options? On mainstream there isn't any. Is it on the 2nd screen after adding the kdz?
Current progress
Phone:
No download mode
No boot on the phone
Device acts dead - only visible on my pc (serial port LGE)
PID and IMEI not available to read using LG flash tool 2014
Tried
Loading KDZ file - connection failed
using tot and dll with flash tool - Failed to connect to device
Read something about laf.img using adb... Anyone has any other ideas? Funny enough when I was searching forums I was not able to find more info about cases when device is not waking up at all. but now i see few very similar threads around? Possible flaw somewhere?

It might be the PC (work pc at the moment and some IT limitations on it) however drivers installed ok, software confirms that I have latest software on my device - when phone is connected to the pc. After running Recovery Upgreade, it gets problem with comunication between the pc and mobile. in troubleshooting asks to power on the mobile (which I cannot do) before retrying. Also I have installed LG usb driver from outside as options coming with this software seem to be for really old models?
A thing I tried with another G3 was to connect the phone to the PC without the battery and then insert the battery, disconnect from phone and then remove battery again then insert and hold volume up and connect the USB to the phone again and it went into download mode and allowed the use of LG support tool as before.

No dice... so far. I'm back home in 2 days when i can try all of this again making sure that PC is not restricted from any functionality... although it does sucks to not to have a phone until then. If you get any ideas I'm happy to try it as well.. as not like i have anything to lose at this point.
