How to root Micromax A44??

I am fed up of my stock UI and phone memory..
And I am also amateur at rooting stuff and all..
Can someone please help me to root my phone and install nice Jelly Bean Rom.??

hey i have heard about Unlockroot.com have you tried rooting with that.???
i am going to try but i am new so confused if i will need to flash using sptool before using unlock root or not.. ?? is theie anyone who can guide us with rooting process ... we are waiting ...

What chipset does it have? The usual MediaTek chipsets?
Anyway, if it's running ICS, use the Bin4ry's rooting script (Google). Should do the job if you're on ICS.

Yes Its MT6573 MediaTek Chipset... Model Name is Micromax A44.
And its running GingerBread 2.3.6 not ICS. can you help us on Rooting this device. please give ideas.

I also tried rooting micromax A44 frm time when i purchased it in Sept i tried everything z4root,gingerbreak ,unlockroot, superoneclick,n all things bt it is nt getting rotted
after searchin on the net i knewthat the person with this

The only software required to root is unlockroot v3.0.........
I think this version only supports .........thankyou if you got it just vote me............

When i tried using unlockroot V3.... it said....shell root permission failed......i wanna know if you have found a way to root this phone...
BTW i got an Xperia Arc S running on Jadder's ULTIMATE HD 2.03 ,its amazing.....

unlockroot v3 downloader is attached,....ii was getting that error with old version of unlockroot

n iv tried other method also by sp flash n all boot image n that kind method its nt workin

CAn you please tell me how to flash this boot image... I've tried using SP-Flash tool.. No matter what I do, it does not work. Neither does the Unlockroot V3.0 and V3.1

Micromax A44, rooted, custom roms, recovery..
LOOKS LIKE ONLY ME TRYING TO BRICK MY DEVICE.. LOL... WELL THIS DEVICE IS HAVING TWO PROBLEMS THAT I WANTED TO FIX..
1. Phone Memory causes us to factory reset it all the time.. (Which is Fixed after rooting the device.. i have not done any resets so far and still about 80MB free space)
2. When you message and try to keyin the texts, you will notice that if you touch the 'q' or 'p' button then one press will make two or more than two q's or p's.... long press causes multiple q's and p's.... additionally the messaging is not so good keyin problem.. means lots of spelling mistake... i have good experiance on micromax and other touch devices and i dont do any mistakes on them while typing.. but when i use this device i feel bit uncomfortable. want to fix this problem if possible using any other custom rom..
I am a complete newbie with android stuffs... i did root this device.. now i need any experienced person to port a recovery and create custom rom's... i have img backup of my rom.. i can provide it.. if any body willing...please post here...

Is there anything to worry about if i fail ? :/
EDIT: One more thing, will roms of a110 work on this as both phones have almost same specs? Also, i think i should try by a110 method instead of a68 one.

Flashing stuff from any other phone than yours can ruin your phone and brick it. Don't ever try that again, or you may have to regret, if you don't have a backup. Root methods can be generic, but stuff like clockworkmod (or cwm) recovery and ROMs from a different phone would NEVER EVER work on your phone unless someone ports it to your device.
And btw, I noticed that the link you posted to the root method of A110 you used was a blatant copy from my rooting guide for A110,lol: http://www.droidiser.com/2012/11/micromax-a110-rooted-how-to-guide.html

Now, I want to install CWM desperately on my device. But you are saying that i can brick my phone doing so.
But as mmx a110 has a same spec, even then my phone can be bricked?

you can root a3+ by vroot 1.7.6
but sorry this phone won't get any updates

if i were u i would try a later version of cyanogen if u can get it to download or maybe a MIUI-tho normally they can be unstable n buggy iv always kinda liked em check it out

Hello, I was wondering if there is any support or basically working roms for this model number I downloaded a rom and flashed it everyhung but the wifi was workig on it I realized I had downloaded the t210r model so yeah just looking for working roms.

There was 15 views and not one person had anything to say. Well hopefull there will be much much more support for this soon. I would work on my own base for it but no more desktop or laptop -.-

I have a working rom for the new firmware, except the wifi is not working.... I have the new and last firmware on my site... look on my signature..
I also have the old rom and the new rom uploaded, but the wifi is not working on the new firmware... so im still using MH9..

I rooted the tab but now says system running very slow.
How can I fix that? I am a newbee my first tablet please help

rooting shouldn't make it slow, I will try the new firmware one of these days, so I can try my rom for NB8.... cause of the wifi is broken...

Yes root checker pro after 1 HOUR said that device is NOT rooted.

rooted again su binary outdated and does not update tried 20 times. unrooting now and waiting

you need to odin the twrp 2700 recovery, and download su v1.94 from chainfire... its on my signature, my roms.. I have the necessary files uploaded... and stock roms also..
odin recovery twrp 2700.
restart tablet, hold power and vol up
flash su v1.94 from chainfire...
wala your rooted...

It makes about a couple of months I made my lenny brick. The fact is that had the version 8 and got him the root with kingroot (3.5.0).
Then I searched and searched, (custom ROM) but nothing. That's when I made another brick installing another wiko. About a week ago I did test point (kcol0), then tool to work with flash.
I came to root with kingroot (3.5.0) but kinguser updated. From this update kinguser, MTKDT granted temporary root and I can do backup mobile (which prior to version 8 would not let me, telling me its inaccessible).
The problem comes and that is my question, build Uboot section v: ---- must be root shell.
I can do with this ?. Because I can not install superuser, or delete Chinese ...
someone knows something ?. Finally thank all the people hanging information, because without them we would have been able to repair my mobile. If I can help or support I'm here.

My Wiko Lenny running Android 4.2 became stuck on logo. Refused to start. This was from normal use. I found the OFFICIAL KitKat ROM and flashed it with SP Flash Tool. The flash seemed to proceed normally although it seemed to go much faster than I am used to. The flash completed and said it was successful. BUT THE PHONE WAS DEAD! I have read of many others ending up bricked simply by flashing their Wiko Lenny with the official update to Kit Kat. WHY??? How do I recover from this?
