[Q] Does Flash Player work the Galaxy Tab S - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Has anyone tried the flash player for KitKat? If so, can you watch full-screen flash videos? If it can play flash videos in full-screen then I'll probably get it. Unfortunately websites have not moved away from flash as quickly as I hoped and it's still a requirement for any android device I own.
Thanks for your help
Edit: Sorry for the typo in the title

Run Dolphin Browser with Jetpack addon.

Maybe you can help and I'm doing something wrong.
I Use Dolphin and have jetpack installed and also turned it on within dolphin.
If I go to a site that uses flash ( www.telegraaf.nl f.i) And klik on one of the movies its says install flashplayer.
I did that, several times, removed and isntalled again and still no succes.
Am I missing something???

Here is everything you need to have flash player work on the tab :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/help/guide-how-to-play-flash-video-android-4-t2548001
Just one thing, the link in the post for the flash player apk is down but here is another one : http://www.devfiles.co/download/ULd5eVou/Adobe_Flash_Player_11.1.apk

That file doesn't work either

so its the same as in the note 3 huh, flash player not working it's quite a hassle

Here I've uploaded the one I used on the tab S so this one I'm sure is working :
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B3Io1wNh64ABNXI5eUxPRFVVMFE/edit?usp=docslist_api

I know the method for using flash on KitKat, but I want to know if it actually works. When I upgraded my G2 to KitKat, flash player was still glitchy even with the KitKat flash player mod and Dolphin Jetpack. I couldn't full-screen the video and changing the video quality on YouTube made the player freeze. As a result, I'm back on Jellybean. With the Tab S I can't stay on or downgrade to Jellybean if I have similar problems.

I just watched some YouTube videos on Dolphin Browser , went full screen and switched to 1080p and played no problem.

Yep it works. You may still have a bug or two from times to times.
Here a screenshot of YouTube with flash, full screen and you can change the quality (click to enlarge) :

Yes, it works using flash and dolphin browser. Here is another copy of the flash apk if needed.
To watch amazon movies make sure to default to desktop in settings.

Great thanks guys.

Maybe yoy could try something for me.
If you go to www.telegraaf.nl there is a small preview in the top right hand collum
click this, a new screen opens and see if it plays.
On my phone it works, on my tab S 8.4 not.
I would really appreciate if somebody would try that.

Hi there, sorry for the late reply
- I'm using a HTC P3300 (Artemis)
- I've tried the version Touch Screen version cab file from your site - http://www.vtap.com/wince_pc_cab_download.html
- I try connecting via wifi (at home)
When i open the program, the text at the bottom of the program just says "Connecting..." and stays like that. This is all that happens - when i try to type anything into the text box that says "Type here", nothing happens.
Hope this information helps, Uzzy

Perhaps many have heard about the new version of the operating system Android 4.2. Now for our camera phone application is available in this version of the operating system.
This application includes not only the camera, but the gallery to view images. From my own opinion I will say that this is much more responsive arcade version than the previous one and has many more features.
FEATURES:
Now you have set the camera "on a finger." To change the brightness, white balance, picture size, or turn on the flash, just swipe your finger across the screen, and select the desired item.
DISADVANTAGES:
This new version of the camera is renowned panorama feature, but alas, our phones it does not work. Talk about the video while it will not, because it has not yet recovered, but there is hope)
CONCLUSION:
From all the above it can be summed up that the camera and the gallery is much faster than the previous, but it still does not work panoramic photography and video mode.
SCREENSHOTS:
How to install:
1. Download the archive. (see link below)
2. Copy it to a memory card (not unpacking)
3. Set the archive through CWM Recovery or other (I think everyone knows how to do it, once the firmware could put )
4. Start the phone and use it.

You can try my edited Dolphin Browser apk. I have used flash on 4.2.2 before with no issues or crashes. Strange why its crashing.
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using Tapatalk 2
Alright, so I took a few minutes to test these and other browsers, here's what I found:
1. YouTube and many other video sites support HTML5 on mobile devices. This is why you are able to view them.
Flash is NOT supported on stock or chrome browser.
2. Photon Flash Player & Browser (Google Play App Link) has the best flash plugin support that I've seen for in any browser.
- I was actually able to play flash games and the option to switch between touch control and "mouse" control makes games that do not require directional pads playable.
3. Every other browser in the list that I tried testing flash games with crashed shortly after entering the game.
I can't confirm the compatibility with flash-only video sites at the moment but I'll update this when I don't have pending homework.

screen goes black in full screen mode
Is anybody able to watch a flash video in full screen mode?
Tried various browsers but none seem to work. The video works when viewing in normal mode, but once i switch it to full screen it goes black.
I'm trying to watch live streaming video on ilemi if that helps.
Tried most of the browsers and i liked firefox the best other then the black screen (which happens on all) it had the advantage of the adblocker really does make a difference.

Youtube in 1080p?

Can you guys recommend some way(the best way) to watch 1080p on the nexus.
No use in wasting the screen on the stupid native app, which nevermind not allowing FHD, simply has HORRIBLE upscaling.
I've tried some apps which mostly fail catastrophically for one reason or another.
Examples:
Not respecting forced orientation(a lot of the time I use the tablet laying down with my head in "landscape" mode so to speak).
Horrible UI navigation.
Or simply not being able to open/paste YT video links.

Youtube blocked downloading 1080p clips, i guess this also has the effect, that 1080p playback no longer works in other players.

Never heard of this before, good tip!
Thanks for this app :good:
The viral floating whatchamacallit actually has potential.
It does say that it supports 1080p so this has to be a bug.
So let's see what the feedback from the dev is.
Looks like the dev removed mention of 1080p from the app description. Shame, because it looks like a good app. Does anyone know of any 1080p solutions for us non-rooted people who can't use the modified YouTube apk?

Already works. I uninstalled microg, vanced, reboot phone and install again microg and vanced
Downloaded both apk's a few weeks ago, didn't work so I deleted both files. Now every week or so my phone automatically downloads the vanced file. I just delete it. Any explanation as to why this is happening would be welcome. Thanks.
Working fine for me but I have home ads. Their discord say's it's something YT did and they're looking at but haven't figured out yet. Here's hoping they fix it soon.
