Check on the camera lens - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys, did anyone realised that the camera lens are not flushed to the back cover? Or it's just my set?
The bottom half of the lens is depressed instead of flush.

It's not that it isn't flush or level, cuz it is, but rather that the bezel/thing between the lens and volume up slopes up. The same can be said for the bottom of the volume rocker (Vol down) and the top (Vol up).

For those that use the supplied wallet...

... which way round to you put your TP2 in it? Do you have it screen facing the magnetic flap or battery?
I don't know if it matters if it does in not in respect of the screen however, it does where the power button is (for me any way).
If it's facing the magnetic flap, can't get the phone out of the wallet without hitting the power button so will have it screen away.
I hold the case in my left hand, phone in my right, & slide it in (screen facing me). The power button is at the bottom of the case, not near the opening, so i don't press it when i take it out.

[Q] Volume down button broken: suggestions?

Thank you!

It's a cheap fix AFAIK, should be a few $ in your local phone shop. It's quite a common problem for our DHD, Thankfully I rooted before I broke my volume rocker (been living without one for 5 months now).
Yes, you're right. I've found a couple of repair items + kit on eBay for a few bucks:

By the way, i've also found this topic (where there is you, too): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=915895
It suggests you can fix the problem without changing any hardware parts:
This way:
I had the exact same problem with my volume rocker, the bottom part was sticking out but the top seemed all right.
I've just fixed it with a bit of glue and by only removing the battery lid.
For what it's worth, here's how I did it.
If you remove the battery lid you can gently pry out the loose end of the volume rocker, just a little so you can see what's supposed to hold it back.
There's a piece of plastic glued to the bottom of the volume rocker that's come partly undone.
I just put a toothpick between the case and the volume button, so it's sticking out.
Then I used another toothpick to get some superglue on the loose piece of plastic.
After that I removed the first toothpick and pressed down on the volume button for a bit.
Now it's all tight and snug like it used to be.
Be careful with the glue so you don't glue the rocker to the case or something.

or this way:
Had this problem, bottom volume became almost completely unresponsive and has really been bugging me for a few months now, so today I took the whole aluminium volume rocker off, slightly different experience to the post above.
Basically it's constructed pretty poorly, the aluminium rocker forms a latch at the top which holds onto the body of the device above where the button is seated.
The bottom of the rocker then has a plastic flap which is glued into a hole to hold the rocker on, this flap had more or less come off for me, seems very poorly manufactured, so I pulled up more and the whole button came off.
The actual volume buttons themselves are very small and these are seated in the housing of the device between this latch at the top and the plastic flap at the bottom. The rocker has two pieces which push down on the buttons to operate them.
Some dirt and grime had built up in there so I scraped that all off first with the head of a Phillips size 00 screwdriver.
I put a very small balled piece of paper on top of the volume down button and it's now working fine again, I just need to glue that flap back down so the rocker doesn't come loose. If the piece of paper is too big the volume rocker won't go down at all so you have to get the size right, relieved to have a working volume button again though.

And then i found a disassembly howto video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfatoeWbMRk
I think that I need to put to work now

There is a dent in my volume buttons

So somehow I got I dent in my volume button. They work okay but volume down is a bit hard to press. I watched a video on YouTube on the dissasambly and assembly. Would it be hard to open my phone up and bend the button back straight? Or should I buy a whole new metal cover which includes the volumes button?

Battery Cover creaks at the left-lower side, is this normal?

I was wondering if anyone has this issue? The battery cover creaks a bit, esp. at the left lower side, as I noticed it can actually be depressed slightly. I don't mind if this is quite unique to this phone. The battery cover still fits nicely, and none of the hooks, or "teeth" that holds the cover to the frame of the phone is not out of shape and still provides a secure attachment to the bezel/frame of the phone.
Do you mean the right side if holding in portrait mode? If so yes mine creaks if pressed (the side with power & volume buttons)
Left side no
OP - same here, do not worry. You can later always buy a new cover for 10$, including d2livery.

10$? Where exactly can I buy that? Im not in the US, but if I can purchase that online and have it delivered here in the middle-east, it would be great.

Volume button pops out?!?!

So my Pixel 2 XL fell out of my pocket on to carpet (thankfully) but when I picked it up I noticed the volume buttons were missing. My volume buttons had popped out of the phone but good thing I was able to find the piece and pop it back in. I think this is just a terrible design, the volume buttons are held in by only 2 small rubber clips. The fact that it popped out so easily makes me question the water resistance. I'm able to pull out the volume buttons if I pull the top using my fingernail. Not good. I went to Best Buy to try this on the display model and I was able to pull out the volume buttons also but it was slightly more difficult, I guess mine is just unlucky. The power button seems okay though. Anyone else encounter this?
