Hi
My xperia arc s has bootloop problem. When i press power button sony appears and then a few second boot animation appears and phone reset itself and again sony logo appears. It goes like at.
So i tried to install stock rom. But i could not enter neither flash mode nor fastboot mode.
When i try to connect with flash mode or fastboot mode (press back button or menu button ) phone power on itself and sony logo appears. Device manager i cant see anything about phone.
But when i connect my neo v device, i see semc flash device in device manager.
Thats why i though my xperia arc s bootloader is damaged. So that i tried to connect with s1tool but does not identify phone.
*Today i find out also phone cant charge battery. Thats why i charged battery with my friend's phone.
Shortly, symptoms are;
1. Bootloop problem
2. Cant enter flash mode or fastboot mode
3.Phone charging does not work.
I search xda and cant find a solution for this problem. Please someone help me.

i dont know if we have 2013 xperia hardbircked phone, can we repair it with jtag box.
Do you know something about this. I mean is new security system only available for 2011 sony ericsson line or also available for sony xperia line (2012 2013 2014)
I will decide to buy or not sony xperia again according to this information.

No. I just asked and learned medusa box or other box does not support 2011 xperias after manufactured 12w10. They said after 12w10 sony added new boot security and they cant break it.

First charge your phone for a while, then download flashtool and sony xperia s official firmware.
As your phone is switched off, press and hold volume down button and connect it to the pc, green led will turn on,then flash your phone with flashtool.
I always use this method when i brick my xperia s.

Try installing PC Companion or/and Sony update service and maybe you could use one of them to recover and install stock rom again
Or if you can't install it using PCC or sus, try flashtool again, because the two sony programs will install drivers , too

I have exactly the same problem with 2 of my xperia S'es. I really want to fix this issue, because it's beginning to be expensive to buy one after the other. Always going into this without really knowing why.
Neither PC Companion, Sony Update Service, or Emma work to recover....
For now i'm following this tutorial : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2049813& :good:

Hi everybody,
I own Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc (LT15i) which no longer lives under the warranty time period. It became extremely slow, so I decided to flash a new ROM on it in attempt to see if that made it any faster. I rooted it and installed ClockworkMod Recovery on the phone and attempted to flash Xperia Ultimate HD 5.01 through CWM. The installation went perfectly fine, however after I did the reboot my phone doesn't get past the Sony Ericsson logo.
I've looked up all sorts of ways to fix soft bricked and bootlooped Arc's but none seem to work. When I try to use flashtool, I can't seem to be able to connect the phone to the computer and Windows comes up with "USB Device not recognized" and flashtool automatically aborts flashing. When I try to use PC Companion to repair the device, Windows doesn't recognize the device and neither does PC Companion. The same thing happens with Update Service.
I cannot enter flashmode, cannot get anywhere past the Sony Ericsson logo (including trying to access ClockworkMod Recovery) and cannot seem to get Windows to recognize the device. All drivers are installed both from Sony and flashtool.
Is there any other way I can recover my device? Thanks in advance for all help!

Hello,
I can pretty much understand your situation, but this is where we start to have a better understanding of our own device and learn from our mistake.
In fact if you want to use flash tool, you will need to prepare your PC to recognize your mobile, by means of installing appropriate drivers, commonly known as Google SDK drivers.
I shall resume somehow here and try to find a good link for you to read :cyclops:
1. Your PC need to have latest version of JAVA
2. Install Google SDK, choose appropriate drivers and apps to be installed
3.Install flashtool and appropriate devices drivers.
Try to follow this link :
1. Installation of ADB drivers and SDK : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1830108
2. Flashing Kernel and Rom. Be careful with compatibility and other issues, you always have surprises here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1996665
The above link is for HTC if im not wrong, try searching for ARC you will find it, there are loads of tutorial posted on XDA..
Here you go : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1508585
Dont forget read and read until you understand every single terms.
See Ya . .

The problem is that you have GB kernel, but using ICS ROM. These 2 do not work together.
Try another USB cable and/or USB port and try Flashtool/PC Companion again.

Tried that. Still no results. I've also tried using fastboot, and yes I did install all the drivers as well as the Android SDK along with the Java DK. When I enter
fastboot devices
I get no response... When I try to flash a kernel using
fastboot flash boot bootARC.img
It says waiting for device forever. The phone is plugged in and the blue light is on. The screen is still off though. When I connect it in fastboot mode to Flashtool it has the same problem (doesn't recognize the device).
Would Sony be able to fix it for me if I handed it in? Even though my warranty has been void for over a year I could probably just pay for the repair. At this rate I doubt it's possible for me to fix it...

Well that might be the issue,W8.I have W7 and XP never had a problem.
Did you try to run flashtool and connect the phone via usb(turn it off and just connect it don't hold any buttons,if that doesn't woek try turning it on and then connect it)-so that way flashtool might detect the device.Hope you'll get it to work.If nothing helps than try searching on google about these issues for win8.

Did you increase your system and data partition into 419 MB and 440 MB? Because if you haven't you'll get a bootloop with Xperia Ultimate HD 5.01 since this rom needs that space. I read that you have to flash Arc S kernel to achieve this but im stuck at this point because the partitions won't change for me :/
To use fastboot, install the drivers by this method.
The only working method to install fastboot on Windows 8.

Hey! I'm a happy owner of an OEM Sony Xperia Z1 Compact, and I would like to unlock the bootloader to unleash the full power of this little monster.
Since my device is a OEM, I was aware I could do it via the developers page of Sony Xperia (http://developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/).
Well I did everything according to the guide (I already had a google nexus 7 and an xperia x8, so I know the drill). But when it reach to install the fastboot driver (supplied by the sony mobile developers page), I connect the phone with the up volume button pressed (the led turns blue). Then when I go to the device manager and try to update the s1 fastboot driver I simply says that the file may be corrupted and it doesn't install.
I tried on different usb ports, different computers, different cables, so far nothing worked... Any suggestion???
kind Regards

Please help!!!! I'm a noob to Sony smartphones and I did something stupid to my newly acquired C1905 sgl sim Xperia M. I tried to unlock boatloader impatiently using that app (apk) can't remember name. Anyways I've used it before on another Samsung phone and ended up in bootloops but I'm clued up on reviving Sammy's! ! And I tried it on the c1905 restarted and nothing. No LEDs no vibrations.. Nothing! ! I was impatient because I didn't have my laptop with me and seems PCs are the only way to do this on Sony's. Last night I messed and messed and the only progress after loads of forums and windows downloads I've managed to change the device (in device manager) from QHS_DOWNLOAD to the drivers recognising the device as a Sony... Will have to check again on laptop. Still no responses whatsoever from phone at all. Please help
Edit - as per device manager windows is saying "Sony Ericsson sa0101" with ADB interface driver and its working properly.
I did install loads of different driver packages. Some failed some didn't. Thanks

No. Flashtool and Sony softwares don't register anything. Driver status has now changed to ZEUS ! Oh & that the device is now a USB flash device.
