Does anyone knows where to find the latest update from TMO "N900TUVUDNF1" so I can update my TMO Note 3, via Odin.
Thanks.

Use my EffortLess guide and just do the first part unless you want to root and install a custom recovery.

Root it through samsung kies which will unroot but you can root it again

Trying to figure out the best route. My goal is to root and install roms.
I'm on LJ1 and I'm being asked to update.
A) Install OTA update then Root/install recovery tool kit? (does toolkit work on LJC?)
OR
B) Root/installToolkit firt then manually update to LJC?
root after update

Agreed. I first updated my Note II to LJC, then rooted using the Toolkit.

^ This. Worked like a charm for me after updating stock OTA first.
I updated after rooting. No problems at all!

Galaxy phones are not like HTC or other phones they are not boot loader locked or encrypted . Odin can always flash on it ...

I'm an Android noob in general and I just got my Galaxy Note 2. I've been using iOS devices for the past 3 years, so don't laugh if I ask stupid questions.
I want to root my device, but I'm not into flashing ROMs on it, I just want the root. So my Galaxy Note 2 is with Android 4.1.1 and my question is: Should I update to 4.1.2 and root after, or root first and then update to 4.1.2?
Other thing I want to know is: When rooted, will I get thru-the-air updates, like for example the 4.2?
I'm from Europe and I have the international Note 2.
You can do both ways but personaly I updated first and then rooted my international n7100.
If you root first than you will have to download the rom manually (no ota or kies) and then flash it via odin.

Is there anyway to root without a computer? I lost root after updating firmware through Kies. Figured I would ask.

You can root and flash custom recovery using Mobile Odin which is available at the Playstore.
Here is the playstore link for Mobile Odin: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.mobileodin.pro
(no need for any computer)
Good luck!
Misterjunky,
I lost root after the update. I am completely stock so mobile odin doesn't work... any other suggestions?

If you can go into download mode then you can
use cf-autoroot to re-root the phone.
Be sure to use the correct version of cf-autoroot for your
phone's model.
Here is the direct download link for cf-autoroot for the N900T Tmobile Note 3:
http://download.chainfire.eu/354/CF-Root1/CF-Auto-Root-hltetmo-hltetmo-smn900t.zip?retrieve_file=1
After rooting use "TWRP Coordinator" from the playstore to install TWRP
custom recovery.
Good luck!
I appreciate the help, but download mode would be in correlation with using a computer, correct? I don't have a computer...

I guess there is no solution without using odin and a computer...?

Hi,
Can anyone help me recover phone and my data, Samsung note 4 verizon, struck while trying to root. It is now at boot screen saying "verizon software repair assistant".
Sry but can't save the data on it now. Did you read before you tried to root it. There is no permanent root for the retail verizon note 4. Was your sytem on KK ot LP? If it was updated through kies or OTA then you can NOT roll back or even try to flah or root thr phone.

Gentleman I need some guidance. I used a custom rom and want to return my note 4 back to stock so I can update it to Marshmallow. The problem I'm having is that I cant' find lollipop stock for my phone, and when I do, I can't seem to flash it even using odin. Would you gentleman be kind to help me with this situation .. Thank you in advance
What's your device?
Sprint galaxy note 4?
If it's just download the firmware from general section or from sammobile then flash it using odin.
You have to install the drivers of the phone.
Or you can use flashfire app if you have root.
