Hello. I apologize if I'm in the wrong place, I'm new to the forum. I'm having an issue with my 4G LTE. Whatever I do I cant seem to get my 4G working. The best I can do is get 3G. Can someone either tell me how to fix this or link me to a fix? I've been looking every where but I can't find anything definitive! I have a Galaxy S 3 L710 under virgin mobile. Thanks!
Look around the forum for the "universal VMU APN fix" and flash it. That did the trick for me.

do you know anyone else that gets LTE on Virgin where you live? and are you in a know/unknown LTE area? and on CM11 you can't do a data refresh code that you can do on stock....what i would say to do is flash back to stock or to Wicked X 8.0 or Tribute Rom and see if the LTE problem is still there and if what i mentioned doesn't fix said problem i would read up on what @flamepanther mentioned that fixed the problem for him

Greetings!
I have a Galaxy SIII (SPH-L710) with Virgin Mobile (US).
I have been able to change the firmware and load CM 10.1.
Unfortunately, I cannot connect to Virgin Mobile (Sprint) 4g LTE. In order to get my mobile data working at all, I have to change my network mode from "LTE/CDMA/EvDo" to "CDMA/EvDo auto". I cannot get 4g to work at all. Has anybody else been able to get this working?

I came from regular sprint on an iphone and 4G LTE coverage was very spotty, and therefore rather unreliable. I have not seen it connect to LTE yet but i'm actually not surprised by that. However, getting any kind of data connection has been very difficult, so far. I'm rather concerned and looking to see if i need to flash to a new baseband version or something because poppa needs at least a 3G connection.
i've tried in and out of airplane mode with 50% good luck...so, there's that too.

ok just a quick update, i've been trying a few different modems/basebands from this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1787677
LJ7 was not holding a 3G signal well, and would not connect to LTE. I moved over to MC3 and that actually deactivated my phone off Virgin. As a result, i had to go back to the virgin stock rom and re-activate. It was painless since i found this wonderful post here:
http://androidforums.appforerunner....ck-unrooted-rom-flashable-zip-cwm-backup.html
I'm currently running the MB1 baseband, but haven't been able to test it yet - going to provide some updates once i can test some more.
I'm having the same issue but on Boost

Did the MB1 baseband ever work for you? I am curious, as I have not yet been able to get 4G working on a custom ROM on my Virgin S3.
I am using ParanoidAndroid 4.3 on my Galaxy Note 2, I've notice with 4.2.2 and 4.3 that I can not access *#197328640#.
I need to access this in order to get LTE only, unless someone else knows otherwise. Please help. I didn't want to go back down to 4.1.2 Cleanrom.
Hopefully someone has a workaround, or if this issue has already been addressed, can you post link.
Thk you

No problem bro. I never heard anyone trying only use LTE. I have heard alot of people trying to turn Lte off to save battery..lol... if you could lock it on LTE only than whenever you are away from an LTE area than you will have No data till you pick up LTE again.
Dont forget to hit thanks if Someone helps you
Unless AT&T has implemented Voice over LTE (VoLTE), setting your phone to LTE only would leave you unable to use your Note II as a phone. Maybe you were looking at disabling GSM and EDGE instead, leaving you with WCDMA and LTE?
I only use my phone for Skype and google voice sms and calls & internet. I don't have phone service. I have an IPad 4g lte sim in my phone. I am able to do Lte only on 4.1.2. Not anything higher.
Would really like to use aosp or aokp ROM. But without that Lte only driving and talking going to H+ or H is Hell over Voice. Chicago has gr8 lte coverage.
Will probably have to stay with touchwiz.

I currently have ATT service with my S3. I'm running the Intergalactic 3.0 at the moment and I absolutely love it. However - I just switched to T-Mobile. I want to keep my current phone and sell the free S3 they gave me so I don't have to deal with losing any information or anything like that. Can I get away with this on the ATT based ROM? IIRC T-Mobile and ATT run on very similar networks/frequencies. Any advice would be helpful here. If worst comes to worst and I have to use the T-Mobile provided phone, can I flash Intergalactic on it as well or do I have to choose from the T-Mobile ROMs on this site?
Thanks to everyone in advance.
You should be able to add the proper apn for t mobile. You also may want to flash one of the t mobile radios.

I just switched from ATT to T-Mobile. I have an ATT SGS3 running Task's AOKP. APNs filled themselves in when I put the T-Mobile SIM in and everything works flawlessly.

Strange. I unlocked the phone, I was able to put in the SIM card and the APNs filled themselves. I was able to make calls and texts but unable to use internet. Any idea here? Using Intergalactic 3.0
To clarify - no internet at all. No Edge, GSM, or LTE

No idea. I'm not getting LTE, but I do get H+ and haven't looked into it yet. Maybe it's the ROM? I'm on Task's newest release.

Strange. I went back and re-registered on the network through the settings and now it's getting 4g, just no LTE. At least it's working though!
Edit: Kinda. It worked for a minute then I locked/unlocked the phone and it didn't want to work any more.

Those icons are like that because of what the Rom is based on. Which is the international version on the Note 2. So those are the icons that they have. But you're still getting LTE.
You can check by going into setting, about phone, status.

Hi,
I have an unlocked version of Fire Phone and have flashed the almost latest version of the Cyanogenmod ROM. I am using at&t wireless service but it seems that I just cannot use LTE. Based on other information I think the phone supports all the bands at&t is using. The network the phone is using is HSPA. I tried changing settings in the phone but it did not help. I searched carefully using related keywords but have not found anybody talking about this, and I wonder whether this is something too simple to ask or nobody else has ever encountered this problem. I want to know if there is something I can do to use LTE.
Thanks.

I have seen some issues about CM based ROM's and ATT LTE. Did you have a full LTE signal and good data speeds on the stock ROM before you flashed the CyanogenMod ROM?

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, I had already flashed CM before I switched to att so I do not have information about that. And currently I am not quite willing to flash the phone back to the native fireOS just for this because HSPA still gives good data speed...

Have you checked your APN settings and verified that it is setup correctly to use ATT LTE? Also, was this phone ever used on ATT before with the sim card you put in it? If not, then what will have to happen is this, I think: I found this excerpt which I believe is what will have to happen.
You WILL NOT get AT&T LTE on you phone unless your account is first provisioned with an AT&T LTE Phone. There is NO WAY around this. You must buy/borrow an AT&T phone that has LTE capability, put your SIM in that phone, and let the system provision your account for LTE automatically. This is NOT something that customer service, or a store clerk, can do for you. Once your account is provisioned for LTE (you will know because the LTE indicator will show up on the phone), you can then put the SIM card into your Fire Phone. At that point, the device will automatically select the "phone" APN, and you will get LTE (identified by the "4G" indicator).
Hope this helps
