Hi, i had C6506 running kitkat .230.
Then, I tried flashing C6502 kitkat .230 India version because I've read that this version does not contains many bugs.
After flashing done, I flash 78kernel for kitkat right away. My phone boots up but then stuck on the lockscreen. I can swipe to unlock but then it hangs and reboot itself. OR, i can hold the power button and shut down manually.
I decided to reflash my previous kitkat FW but now it shows the error:
Processing loader.sin
Checking header
ERROR - Processing of loader.sin finished with errors.
INFO - Ending flash session

I tried other FWs as well but still the same problem.
i tried connecting the phone via flashmode but I can see the LED flashes RED then GREEN then OFF.
When I try using SEUS, when it tell me to connect the phone via flashmode, I plug the USB cable while holding Vol (-) but nothing happens
I'm desperate guys. Can anyone help me?
Flastboot mode can still be entered normally, flashing kernel as normal.
(I'm using latest version of flashtool and proper drivers)

The LED red the green then of is normal for me! I get it every time i flash ftf so when you get it too flash the ftf without worry about
I didn't think it was ever OK to flash a C6502 FTF to a C6506.. is this correct? (I tried this once some time last year and it just resulted in freezing on the Sony logo so I never did it again)
THanks guys! After some hours of irritating trial with various methods, I;ve managed to flash the stock c6506 FW. I dont even know how I got it to work

I tried a regular update via the normal procedure with Sony PC companion.
This however stopped responding during the update, so the phone got bricked with only the sony logo during boot up.
Due to the build in battery I waited till it ran out of power so I could try to flash it by Flashtool or SUS.
After connecting the USB cable it charge with orange led. After about 10 to 15 min. of charging the sony logo comes up.
I tried holding the down the volume button right after connecting the USB till the sony logo appears, but nothing happened.
It just won't enter Flashmode. Trying the volume up with powerbutton I can enter Fastboot mode.
But the phone was in original state during the update(no unlocked bootloader or Root).
Can somebody help me with this nice phone, just bought a few days ago:crying:
Any developer?
the sony logo shouldnt appear when you are trying to do flashmode or fastboot.
maybe youre doing it wrong. try again.

Thx for your reply.I guess I wasn't clear enough. After the failed update all I get is the Sony logo.
The phone got bricked by the failed update. I need to drain the battery in order to turn off the phone.
Now I'm trying to get the phone into flashmode in order to flash the firmware with flashtool. But
no success yet!
The problem is that I can't get into the flashmode by holding down the volume key. But the Fastboot mode can be activated.
Pls mind that the bootloader has been untouched, therefore locked.
So anybody got a solution?
Update
I finally managed to get the phone into Flashmode. Thx to Cognosco
But now I got another problem. I tried to flash a couple of firmwares with Flashtool.
But it all got stuck at 23%. Do I flashed with the wrong procedure or firmware?
I tried flashing older fw LT26ii_4.0.4_DE_6.1.A.2.45.ftf and a new fw LT26ii_4.0.4_6.1.A.2.55_Arabic.ftf.
Also SEUS fail in restoring/updating the phone after recognizing it in Flashmode.
What more can I try? Is the phone really dead?
Update 2
I tried different Exclusion in Flashtool. I noticed only system can't be flashed.
Since the device broke down from firmware 6.1.A.250 to 6.1.A.250 maybe I need the generic fw of 250?
I searched but couldn't find this firmware for the SL. If anybody has this fw for the Xperia SL LT26ii, pls share with me.
Update 3
I even tried to flash with Sony's own system EMMA. This got the same installation issue. Guess the phone really got bricked hard and unrecoverable.
since you can enter flashmode, try to update it with pc companion again.
just make sure you've charged your phone and you're on locked bootloader.
I tried many times to flash again with PC companion and SUS, but ends with same results. I get an installation error. The phone can only be charged for about ten minutes then the phone turns on and discharge itself. This cycle continues. I can enter Flashmode before the Logo comes up, but the phone won't charge in Flashmode.
UPDATE: I was able to get into fastboot and flashmode. I am trying to flash back ftf file but it is stuck at 0%
When I hold the power button the phone will vibrate every 3 seconds (almost like a pulse).
I had a locked (and non-unlockable bootloader) so I was using this CWM for locked bootloaders. I made a back up and preceded with flashing rom. No my phone will not turn on, not even the backlight (I do however get the red notification light when it is charging).

its more helpful if you show us your flashtool log,
and make sure to exclude the simlock.ta file in files selection when choosing ftf package
Was able to fix it using Sony Update Service. Didn't work the 1st time but when I tried it a second time it did. Apparently the battery wasn't charging.
brick

I have installed CyanogenMod 11 custom rom to my Xperia Arc S. After flashing boot.img through flashtool, device got shutdown. Till now everything was fine. But after this the tutorial said to start the phone and after the phone vibrates, start pressing the volume down button. I did the same. But after vibration, phone is not showing anything. It shows dim light on screen but its not showing either the logo nor its starting. The LED light on side turns to purple but nothing happens after that. I did this with every button but its not starting. Pls halp me out....

Did you flash the kernel for your device?

Tell more about this. How did you do it, what happened, what buttons did you press etc etc.
Yes. I have installed kernel for it via flashtool. Initially after doing this it was not going to recovery mode and also it was not getting connected to flashtool. But now it is getting connected to flashtool in fastboot mode. So tried to flashing with 10.2 version, it showing finished but again the same problem. Its not going to recovery mod.
as in, HOW did you flash the kernel exactly. Dont just say you used flashtool, how did you use it? What combination did you use to get into fastboot? Any errors in flashtool? How did you boot into recovery (I.e. which keys did you press) and does the LX kernel logo even appear on boot?

First check does that kernel has built in recovery...If nothing works,to get your phobe to work flash stock .ftf file with flashtool.
Do you have unlocked bootloader?
And try one more thing, when you turn on the phone start pressing volume down (-).)!

I think i have the same problem as OP.
I decided to try out LegacyXperia CM11 and installed it yesterday. It went well, but it is still kinda buggy so i decided to go back to besttt's Slim Bean. I copied rom files on SD card and went to flash kernel (darkanzuEOL). I flashed it through Flashtool like every other time and it went without errors so i proceeded to boot into recovery so i can flash the rom. This is where everything stopped working normally. After i power on the phone and press voldown to enter cwm it just gets stuck on cwm loading screen. If i dont try to get into recovery it just bootloops. I tried several kernels i have on my HDD and always the same result.
I'm downloading stock img to flash and see if that will help. will let you know what happens.
EDIT:
Stock img worked, now i'm back on slim. Only other thing i changed ( which i think is the cause) is i used original sony usb cabel instead of my Nexus 7's i used originaly
So I got my brand new Z1C today and as you would do I rooted, backed up my TA and unlocked the bootloader. I also flashed on fastboot DooMLoRD kernel to get cwm.
I saw a new stock update for for 4.4.4 so I decided to try update via Sony PC Companion. Update downloaded but I was prompted that I could continue due to 'modified software'. So I decided to restore my TA to bring it back to stock and phone doesn' turn on
When I press the power button it vibrates but there is no display. If I wait a few seconds and press the power button it does the same. I can also still boot into fastboot mode. I attempted to flash a .ftf but I can't seem to get it into flashmode :crying:
Would anyone be able to help please?
Ha, that happened to me as well when I tried to restore the dreaded TA. But if fastboot is working, flashmode should too. Turn off the phone, press volume down and plugin usb. Iirc there's no LED confirmation in flashmode, but you'll see it in flashtool.

Flashmode managed to work! Phone seems operational now.
Deary me that was a bit worrying. Is it quite normal for you to have to flash a .ftf after restoring the TA or something? Nearly crapped myself...

There is an LED confirmation for flashmode, a shortly powered green LED. Fastboot is indicated by a solid blue LED.

You've done correctly, but you've missed one step, before flashing your locked TA and rebooting you have to flash a stock kernel, otherwise the "modified software" test in the locked bootloader will be triggered (by the unsigned kernel).
You have not bricked your phone, this thread is incorrectly titled as I'm sure you knew when you posted it.
Hi. I have an R800i which I rooted some time ago. Up until recently it has been running ICS with a Lupus kernel. I then flashed 2.3.3 UK ftf from here and it seemed to work. It prompted me for an OTA update and I started it. After downloading the update and rebooted, the phone displayed a black screen and a progress bar (nothing odd, seemed as though it was updating) and after a couple of minutes it turned off. Since then I haven't been able to turn the phone back on. I would press the power button and all it would do is briefly flash the green LED and vibrate, but that's about it. If I would hold the power button it would do that every couple of seconds. I cannot access the recovery menu either. It may be worth noting that by connecting the phone to my PC it would start in flashmode (blank screen), so I tried reflashing the same (and some other) ROMs using Flashtool but with the same result. Up until now, flashing ftfs through Flashtool seems to be the only thing I can still do. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
