I bought a galaxy note 2 off a bloke he said it was unlocked turns out it was rooted! I want to go back to stock but not sure what the original stock rom was I know it's definitely UK but not sure if it's factory unlocked or on a specific network! I've downloaded the UK international stock rom think it's btu or something like that! What's the dangers please will it brick my phone! Have tried to ring him but his phones off and has been all week any help be much appreciated

I'd say follow dr.ketans guide that would be your safest bet.
But honestly I'd leave the phone rooted, at least, for the time being you'll be glad you did.

Yeah it's OK rooted but quite a few apps keep shutting down!! But it is great I must say

Which apps fc? You could try a factory reset, flash a custom rom or of course revert back to unrooted or Flash a new stock rom. If you choose the last option ensure you run triangle away first

Hello,
Have a Tmobile Note 3 N900T Running the UCNB4 4.4.2 Version of Android.
I have Baseband, however, after Region Unlocking, (Rooted), I do not have an imei#. Says Unknown, and 00 (Imeisv).
Want to restore.
Have read that a few different ways may work?
1) Flash File Mentioned Here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=53032145
(Can I flash with Safestrap, or Must I flash with Odin under CP?)
2) Delete Efs Partion, and Reset (Factory or Just Reboot?)
3) Reflash entire Stock Rom via Odin, and Start Over, - Question is will it restore imei#?
Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated folks!
Be well.
Had another thought, or question.
Could I flash the zip with the stock recovery, by renaming to "update.zip" and flashing in stock recovery (apply update from external ad card)?
Or, is the best way to accomplish this, flashing stock firmware via Odin? And if so, where is the best spot to download same?

I've had imei disappear, best bet would be to go back to stock. The new NE6 update is everywhere in the threads with instructions

So, just flash it over with Odin, and that may or should correct my problem?
Thanks
Should, I've done it before and it worked

Okay so I have a question about Lollipop rolling out for LG G2 owners. I have the 32 gb LG g2 rooted and flashed to page plus. I just want to know would it be safe to update to lollipop OTA. would I lose my root or the flash at all?

Typically, you must be back on stock in order to update to a newer stock version. Otherwise, it will lead to problems (brick, bootloop, etc.) I'm not sure any of the original methods will be able to re-root you on lollipop, or for that matter the page plus flash.
Can't I just flash the lollipop update or would that get rid of the page plus settings and prl? I don't mind the root going away.

Madscientist's recommendation sounds best. You don't need to be rooted to TOT a stock image to your phone. Make sure to backup anything important. This requires a PC:

Yes, restoring stock using TOT method is like getting the phone brand new without any modifications, so it should fix any issues you are seeing if the phone was modified in anyway. I have successfully TOTed back to older stock versions numerous times and the update notification would pop up like a mad dog without leaving me alone
The most legit way is to download an app called "root checker," and the rest is self explanatory.

ZVG is Lollipop 5.0
ZVB, ZVD, ZVE is Kit Kat 4.4
ZV7, ZV8, ZVA is Jelly Bean 4.1
So just look for the right files.

Gamersab, this is all for Sprint and Boost Mobile LG G2 LS980. I just saw in your profile that you are using Pakistan - Telenor. This is probably the reason why you aren't receiving OTA updates for your phone... Your phone was probably flashed by Telenor to work on their network. I wouldn't tot back to stock or you might lose network access because the APN settings won't be configured for your provider...
No I bought it from independent seller.
Telenor have nothing to do with it

And will my phone remain unlock after flashing tot ?
Sent from my LG-LS980 using XDA Free mobile app
No, tot puts it back on sprint network. If you aren't using sprint, you will not get access.
Any easy way to unlock it ? And will I be able to receive OTA update after unlock ?
Sent from my LG-LS980 using XDA Free mobile app
Any unlocking will break ota of going through.
Well, the only way I'm getting LP is by flashing custom ROM right?
Sent from my LG-LS980 using XDA Free mobile app
They are working on a permanent unlock on stock lollipop. There is a thread in sprint development. Main thing, backup your apn-settings file.
That could save you a big headache

How do I backup?
Sent from my LG-LS980 using XDA Free mobile app
Just a quick question before I downgrade, do I have flash anything expect for the older .kdz? I read something about having to flash a "kitkat modem", but haven't found a definitive answer by searching. Wouldn't want to brick my phone as it just came out from warranty repair. Cheers.
Sent from my LG-D855 using XDA Free mobile app
If you are flashing kdz file then no, you do not need to flash modem. Even so you will not brick your device if you have a wrong modem, your device would just have no signal and wifi.
If that happens you can use one of the modems from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/radio-modem-lg-g3-t3110376
Thanks, gonna flash right away
