yes...
New information: I found that my sdcard's location is "/storage/primary/legacy", I tried to change its name and move it to "/storage/sdcard", but after rebooting the phone it returned automatically to the previous location.

Solved!
just formut sdcard...
The problem is in the file system, it's not fat32 it's unknown, because this sd card has been used on Nokia 3110c (this phone is very old!!)

Desire can't mount SD card

I flashed leedroid 2.1a version over 2.1. and now i can't mount SD card. When i go in settings to mount "SD card safe to remove" appears
HEEELP!!
You can mount your sdcard with clockwork. I think you can find this option in the advanced settings or what it is called.

If your problem was like mine - where I was unable to mount/format my card..
Boot the phone up in recovery mode. Then select MS:USB and the PC should then see the card. Copy all your data off the card, then format it.
Mine was able to mount after this.

Does windows find and mount the SD card right away if you put it in to your PC (if you use a SD reader, not the phone)? if not you may have a broken SD card, you should be able to return it to where you got it for a replacement.
You might also try a defrag using windows on the SD card, android is a pain for leaving junk all over SD cards.
I have same problem
I tried to flash RCMixS_v1.6.1_A2SD+_BravoHboot but unfortunately I made mistake and I did it with wrong Hboot and it went too a boot loop and as I was waiting for download to finish ( down;oading right version of it) I just wanted to restore the back up but now it says can't mount th SDcard I format the card via PC and pus some files in it such as Official_FroYo_2.10.405.2 but still can't mount it and I can't install RUU_Bravo_HTC_Europe_1.15.405.1_Radio_32.30.00.28U_4.05.00.11_release_121684 on my phone please help me

it works fine for me just fix my "brick" last night
Hello,
I had the same problem and fixed it like this:
I reformatted the SD-card first using the Windows-quick-format program. The SD-card was recognized by my PC but not by my phone.
Then I reformated the card using a disk-management (I used the Acronis Disk Director) and formatted the card as FAT32 primary partition. (The Windows-partition program formated it as FAT32 logical partition...)
This solved my problem.
Hope I could help you.

bump, had same problem here. Tries nearly almost everything out there, and as for it might be an usb brick you need to put files on your sdcard to fix it, which I can't... And I tried several sdcards, none of them work, so I think it's the sdcard reader that's broken or something.
Edit: oops, forgot to explain what I did fixed it for me which might help you.
I cleared everything, user and system data etc, flashed the Amon RA recovery and I already had a S-OFF hboot. Then I cleared the system cache. After that I only used the following command in the usb brick thread; fastboot oem enableqxdm 0, nothing else then after. Then I booted into recovery and it worked again.

- problem solved by just reformatting the sdcard when you restart the phone normally. There will be a notification on the status bar on the top that says that the sdcard is damage, and you could format there.
- one problem though, i was not able to apply the dual partiion (fat32/ext4) steps for increasing my internal memory. but at least my sdcard is fixed

32gb mount issue solved

Does anyone know if a 32gb sdcard would cause problems with cwm for Arc? The card itself is fine, formatted(a few times) to fat32, and I've tried with and without an ext4 partition for link2sd but anything I try to flash, or if I attempt to manually mount, format or partition via cwm(from dooms v15 kernel) it returns unable to mount. The card is fine, no data loss or corruption.

Works fine here.
Had to format it with the phone once untill cwm could mount it.

Like Flo95 said, try to format the sdcard again.
I'm also using a 32 GB and it works fine.
Strange. I've got no issues with the card i.e. when I switch off and try anything with cwm I get a message that says 'Error mounting /sdcard' , 'Can't mount /sdcard' or 'Can't mount backup path' but I still have all the data on the sd when I swich the phone on, there's no corruption or anything particularly unusual.
Take a backup of your sdcard and try to format it in CWM directly.
Can't do anything via cwm, just says unable to mount. Weirdly, the sd card now launches with pc companion/windows instantly, but the partition tool can't detect it...
Solved, re-formatted while in mass storage, partitioned via cwm. Thanks to all...

SD card LGoptimus G F180K disappeared

Hallo,
I'm really unlucky with this phone... My SD Card (internal) is disapperared and the phone says search sdcard or sd card is not installed.
With mount I can see something , /data is 25GB, but I can't root the phone and the folder /data is set with permission d--------, so I can't access it.
OK, I don't have CVM. Is there a way to re-format, change permission in the filesystem so I can re-flash?
Thanks

Update. I flashed JB stock korean 4.1.2 (F180K20B/G) and with JB I can see my sd card again, but the new error is "process "com.android.... stops to working" or similar.
It si a tipical Google problem. Has anyone the same error?
Thanks
Do the data wipe.
Flashing via KDZ doesnt wipe data
Thanks, but wipe doesn't work.
The problem is that the rom E97510B try to mount the sdcard in another path. But without sdcard you can't root the phone and you don't be able to correct it.
I reverted the phone to korean rom F180K10H and everything is fine.

[Q] HOX - SDCard Can't be mounted issue again.

Hi guys, I was trying to partitionate my sdcard to get a bigger /data space.
After a try, I decided to get me Sdcard back to previous state...
0.mounted usb to my pc.
1. formatted in fat32 format, as primary type with "minitool partition wizard ..."
3. umount and restart the phone, surprised my partition cannot be mounted yet and it's not recognized on my system.
So... Here comes the dispair... I erased all my phone stuff, format and delete all sort of things but /sdcard cannot be mounted...
After that I'm charging the phone right now on recovery mode, later I'm gonna try to install Ruu but I don't have the latest, only the previous... Is that any problem??
Tks guys!!

Bootloop after partitioning SD card

I have a c1905 4.3, I created an extra partition (about 1.5 GB ext4, tried also ext2, main partition about 14 GB FAT32) on the SD card, but whenever I now boot up with the SD card inserted I get a bootloop.
Is this a problem with xperia m? Is there a way to use a partitioned card on this device?
Thanks.

you're running with stock rom ya? now let me ask you something, are you have a full root before do this? I mean have you install remount reboot fixer file on your device? If you're not on full root you will get a bootloop when you're try to modified something on your system because failed in mounting system folder. so now you need too re - flash your firmware and try with full root after that try to repartition again and tell me the result ok
here , I will give you 2 method and you can select it what do you think is easy to do
1. DD Flasher 2.0
2. Towelroot with remount reboot fix
Thanks, I have stock from, I have root, but did not install remount reboot fixer. I will try that, but why do I need to reflash firmware, can I not just install the reboot fixer?

Because you're in bootloop condition right now, you need to re flash stock rom and try to re root your device with remount reboot fix. If you have any question just ask me again

Thanks, but I'm not in bootloop condition, I just take out the partitioned SD card and everything is fine. (Only with the partitioned card inserted do I have a bootloop).

well normally this happens in our devices if our sd card has 2nd partition. has use a partition tool and delete both partitions and create just a single FAT32 partition.

Thanks, but I know that and that's not my question, I just wanted to say that I don't need a fix for the actual bootloop because I can just take out the card, and therefore can I do just to the reboot fix that @Nicklas Van Dam mentioned without having to reflash the firmware.

Search for Xperia M Tweaks on youtube, they have a video "Move all apps to external sd card in Xperia M [Root Required]". It might solve your problem. Thank You.
