Is there any Warranty Flag on the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact?
How to check whether the warranty voided or not?
Is flashing official ROMs manually voids the warranty somehow?
Thank you.
Unlocking the bootloader voids the warranty. Flashing official firmwares, modded firmwares or rooting doesn't.

Backing up the TA partition "restores" the warranty - if you can manage to restore the backup in case of a device failure.

Hi i will be new to HOX , im curious in witch case i loose warranty.
Rooting void warranty?
Unlocking bootloader?
Sent from my LT26i
rooting will not void warrenty because if you remove it, they cannot tell it has been done.
unlocking bootloader (CAN) void certain parts of your warrenty because they can tell that it has been done
So ulocking BL and instaling kernels, roms without overclock and other cpu stuff should not void warranty if reverted back and relocked?

Yes, it will. You lose your warranty when you unlock the bootloader. When you revert back it will say Relocked instead of locked in Hboot.

In most cases you will lose warranty for unlocking the boot loader. But a number of people have managed to claim warranty on unlocked phones. It all depends on your local service center.
Thank you guys, looking forward to buy HOX and learn hboot, and all other HTC specific stuff.
Hope to talk with you i near future.

I unlocked, root, flashed rom FXP cm9 on my xperia s. When my phone is damaged and i want to sent it over for repair how i go back to stock?
What are the steps?
I'v been reading and is step 1 relock bootloader with relock ftf (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1527159)
and then step 2 flashmode original ftf file enough? I don't have to unroot? Then everything is back to original? Without the drm keys ofcourse .

Yes i know. I just wanna know if these are the right steps.
you MAY void your warranty
this's not automatic. they are saying you that what you will do now with roms, kernels, recoveries aren't any more their business
if you flash galaxy ace kernel it's a problem of yours
but for example, a warranty claim about the yellow tint of the screen, (i think so) it's going to be accepted
my advice is to relock bootloader, and then flash stock rom (via flashtool)
I don't know how good relocking the bootloader works, so I won't make any promises about that. But about your question about unrooting, flashing the stock (unrooted) ftf is all you have to do. Those are as far as I know the only steps you have to take to get your phone back to as stock as possible.
Having your bootloader unlocked doesn't guarantee that your warranty is voided, so as long as it's a hardware failure you should be OK. Bricking is next to impossible so, software failure shouldn't be that much of a risk.
Thanks everyone for the info.

"Bootloader unlocking voids warranty but you can relock the bootloader. By doing that you get back your warranty." -Wrong information.
You do not get the warranty back even after you relock the bootloader.
Because bootloader unlocking will result DRM keys loss and also the IMEI number is logged by SONY, so even if you relock the bootloader that KEY can not be restored. So SONY can track it easily.\
So warranty remains void.

This is not completely accurate.
Actually if you read from Sony's web page here http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com
It says
" Important information
Please note that you may void the warranty of your device and/or any warranty from your operator if you unlock the boot loader. See your device's warranty statement for details. Additionally, due to the modified device software, Sony’s repair network will likely have to replace key components before it can properly test, repair and verify your device using our repair tools and software. Consequently, if Sony performs a warranty repair, Sony will likely charge you a significant service fee for the additional costs caused by your modification of the software."
Clearly it states MAY.

Although Sony logs the IMEI number, you still may not lose your warranty. It depends on which country you are in. For example : -
I had bricked my Xperia mini ST15i's touchscreen ( had unlocked bl the official way ). Just flashed stock rom with flashtool, relocked bootloader and gave it to Sony. In India, they didn't check a thing. I just told them that I had bricked it while upgrading to ICS with SEUS
Within a month, I got a new screen replacement absolutely free within my warranty period.
Yes could be a country issue too. You got lucky bro i guess, that they didn't check
In India all the cities got separate service centers or is it state wise?

I think that it is city-wise because the Sony guy told me that he had sent my phone to the local service center in a nearby city.
i read of several people that only relocked bootloader and they sent phone to service center without any problems
Depends what country your in as to what rights you have. In Australia i got my screen replaced with unlocked bootloader and no receipt. As Sony says this *may* void your warranty, it also may not. If something happens and is not directly resulting from flashing, then i would argue with Sony that unlocking the bootloader is irrelevant as the phone is defective.
My phone was fixed under even though Sony said no, i said OK ill contact ACCC, Sony said OK we'll fix it as a gesture of good faith. I assume good faith means 'damn this guys knows his consumer rights'.

Does unlock bootloader cause end of warranty? If yes could I lock it again if I would use warranty for repair?
Yes, you lose the warranty. No, relocking is not possible. The unlocking is registered at the Lenovo Servers.
Hey guys, I'm new to the Redmi forums, I've been on XDA since 2012 and have been using mainly Xperia devices.
So just had a few doubts regarding this phone(bought it last week)
I read about the procedure to unlock the bootloader and everything.
1. I know unlocking will void my warranty, but can i then relfash stock rom and relock bootloader to show that the bootloader was never unlocked? We could do that in Xperia.
Is it possible to do it now?
2. Will just rooting require the bootloader to be unlocked? And if yes would the warranty be void if I unlocked the bootloader and just root the phone without flashing custom ROMs?
Unlocking bootlader procedure doesn"t void you warranty. At least in Poland
Rooting requires unlocked bootloader. Im not sure about rooting, but you can always flash offcial miui build and its going to unroot your Redmi and relock you bootloader

1. As far as I know the warranty is not void. I have not seen any such warning. But please do check from your end.
2. Rooting will need unlocked bootloader if you are doing it via the recovery. Maybe one click root apps wont. I dunno of any one click root apps for RN5 Pro
Unlocking bootloader don't void warranty of xiaomi phones its confirmed
Changes in rom may void warranty like rooting
But u can again clean flash rom with mi flash restore to factory stage is possible
