Anyone have "Ok Google Everywhere" working on their S3? - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

If so, which ROM are you running?
I'm on the Likewise S5 ROM right now and cannot get it to show up. Tried all the tricks like searching for "Ok Google everwhere" or "Okay Google everywhere" from within Google Now and that made the Audio History option appear under settings->voice, but still no "Ok Google everywhere" from any screen or lock screen.
Even tried UnleashTheGoogle, and that did not help either.

Thanks for the reply, I will give DocHoliday's Sprint Kitkat port a try then and report back. If that doesn't work, then part of it must be server side/account related as some people are suggesting.
Just wanted to confirm that at least someone had it working on their S3.
Edit: Flashed Sprint Kit Kat port from DocHoliday today and Ok Google Everywhere working perfectly. Thanks again for the heads up patcal.

Ace II (i8160) gesture keyboard not working.

Hello, i just flashed several roms in my Ace II because of the gesture keyboard not working.
I have made my searches, and found zero answer related to this, it seems no one is using gesture keyboard....
Now, on such small screen, having the gesture hability for writing saves a lot of time for me, and i think that anyone who would give it a try will keep it as primary way of writing.
The only rom in wich is working fine is in Slimrom 8.1 but i have found other complains for this one that are more important than the keyboard at the moment.
Is there any workaround?

I've been using it on the stock 4.1.2 ROM in this same phone and in 4.0.4 on Optimus 2x.
At store, there's no available google keyboard, already made the search.
BTW:
PAC rom has not working gesture keyboard, and is 4.2.2.
TeamCanjica, also is 4.2.2 and it has it not working either.
Rootbox, also is 4.2.2 and is not working.
On the contrary, SlimRom is 4.2.2 and it has it working.
I'm no expert but shouldn't this be in the "general" section? o.0
Google Keyboard (same as AOSP from 4.2.2) has gesture typing, SwiftKey has gesture typing and Swype has gesture typing. If one of those doesn't work you might wanna contact the app support directly. All I know is Google Keyboard and SwiftKey work perfect on stock and Cyanogenmod.
Google Keyboard is available for the Ace II. In fact I think it's compatible with ALL devices so I don't know why you're not finding it. I'd be certain it's likely to be something on your end.

It seems to be working, but only makes the trace and nothing is written.
Swiftkey and swype have their own drawbacks, both are really c..p finding and predicting words in anything than english, and i need it working fine in Spanish, there google keyboard is unbeatable.
Also, those both apps are paid, google is not only free, IT WORKS.

Nothing wrong in MY end, i've made the search inside the phone and directly with my computer browsing/searching play store, and it does not appear AT ALL.
I also checked some days ago with the Optimus 2x because i dislike the keyboard that came with a custom rom, nothing appeared... And also, both phones use different google account. (just in case)
So.. It seems that the keyboard may be been removed or is only available for older versions wich need update.
EDIT: Sorry... Sometimes you need to kill someone... I'll kill google...
Well, Google keyboard will NEVER appear for spanish... "Teclado de Google" does...
Really sorry... sometimes takes me some time stop thinking on english.
Anyway, it says is not compatible with ANY of my devices.... : wallbash:
Well it's definitely still there for me whatever ROM I'm using so i don't know what to tell you

No problem. Just extract archive, replace file in system/lib. Change permissions (rw-r-r) and reboot.

Usually when people say Standard Keyboard in regards to Android they mean the Google Keyboard. That's probably why Andy suggested it and also because the google keyboard is fantastic. I haven't done it myself but have you just tried searching "T9 keyboard" in Play Store? Throw that in google search too and see what pops up. If you search in google I'd throw .apk in there at the end of your search query to see if anyone has ever posted that .apk ever. I'm at work or I'd attempt a search and help you out but I can't atm. Try those 2 suggestions and see what you find. Good luck :fingers-crossed:
Also, what phone are you using? I've never seen that on my One.

Thanks, I'm using a Satore play keyboard but I prefer the native. In the one before the 4.3 update appeared on "standard keyboard" was called so in one's own choices and I do not mean to google if not the standard with t9.
Greetings.

Permanent fix for "Ok Google"

I've found that if anyone is having trouble with the "OK Google" feature not working for them that downloading the offline voice recognitions fixes the issue. I'd tried every possible way to use this awesome feature on the 4.4 GEL launcher. This worked! I've done it already 5 times and it worked every time. So as it sits now this will correct the problem until somebody else figures out a solution or Google fixes the bug for android 4.0+. But they probably won't because of it not really being an issue for anyone running CM11 or having a nexus 7. Also! I've found an awesome app on the play store for free that will let you use the "OK Google" feature anywhere in the android UI. It's still a little buggy and slow but this high school kid did a great job! And it works on the newest version of Google search WITHOUT ROOT.

Hope I've been able to help some folks out with this if your still having an issue finding a way to use this awesome feature Google introduced recently to Kit Kat 4.4.:highfive:

Sprint VVM

not sure if this is the right place, but i haven't seen this on the G2 forums.... this apk of sprints vvm was ripped from my htc one and works great on aosp roms for the G2 running KK. If you Mods need to move it i understand.

sprint's visual voicemail app. no aosp/aokp come with any type of voicemail and, i personally really like the stock voice mail, this will work on kit kat on any aosp/aokp.
Wait seriously? If so this is awesome. I HATE phoning in for my voicemail on AOSP haha. I'm going to try ripping the apk from the G2(I'm sure they're the same, but my OCD commands that I do) and report back later my findings.
On a side note, what voicemail is on the Nexus 5? Or is it the same "phoning in" procedure?

If you are on Sprint, you can just get Google Voice with Sprint integration which includes visual voicemail through the dialer as well as the other great features of google voice. It will use your existing mobile number without the need to port the number to Google Voice.

Google Voice also requires call forwarding to be setup. The last time I used it and tried reverting back, It completely screwed up my voicemail and had to have sprint reset my settings on their end.

Have you tried the peel tv remote app, and do you have the stock kernal with the gpe rom?
Is anyone else having LTE signal issues with this ROM in on NH7 I was running Wicked and The Sicknesses before and had great signal on LTE but now I only get one bar maybe two if I'm lucky . Maybe someone could help me out ... I'm on T-Mobile by the way
I installed the Google Play Edition first thing when I purchased my new S4 (about 3-4 weeks ago).
Yesterday, I was having an issue where SMS's would come in, but no text. That's relatively minor. More importantly, the phone is CONSTANTLY rebooting on me. I had to call back my brother at least 5 times in the span of 40 minutes because the phone would reboot in the middle of a call.
Besides flashing the ROM, I have not done any other modifications.
Is there an easy way to switch back to the stock kernel?
I'm getting an infinite boot loop, and I can't start up in recovery mode anymore (the screen shows the Samsung Galaxy S4 logo and then stays black until I let go, then it reboots and shows that logo again and tries and fails to start the ROM)... what can I do to get back into TWRP recovery mode?
@Gadianton just dirty flash over the ROM to get stock kernel back.
A stock kernel zip would be nice. I've made a lot of changes to system apps and everything is updated. Dirty flash will be messy.
ANT+
Does the rom have support for ANT+ devices? If yes, how do I enable it?
Thanks a lot, and keep on with the great work you are doing!!!
Problem with "conference call" and "call on hold"

ROM works great. but....
Rom works great but I am noticing a considerable loss in Battery life. On my device it is 3 percent per hour. Any solution to this?
To those that do not want Google Hangouts, Google Messenger, Google Photos, Gmail ; You can still get the CM apps from their roms. A majority of them are updated to Material Design.
Just noticed that the clear all apps button from the recent apps screen is missing. Just a heads up. Also was wondering if this is compatible with xposed.

Read about the battery life thing when 5.0 first came out. I think it may be because when on wifi its constantly making wake up requests.

no way 12/13 would have bricked anything though
If you want Navigation Bar
To get the navigation bar add this "qemu.hw.mainkeys=0" to the bottom of your build.prop. Use a file manager that allows root access and a text editor.
