Hi. Just wondering if anyone is working on kernels for the tab pro 8.4. It would be nice if there was one that supported other file systems like exFat and had SELinux set to permissive. This would be helpful for running Linux on Android on the tab pro 8.4 for example. Thanks!
EDIT: For anyone interested, freeza's kernel has SELinux set to permissive.

probably, but rotation will not work, nor will some other sensors, and you will probably have to edit the updater script to get it to flash
It would not load. I tried it yesterday. I did not make any edits, I tried "as is". I hope some one will make one.
Installed official LineageOS 14 rom for Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 SM-T217S. When enabling encryption the device restarts and no encryption is applied.
Now it could be a few things. First in the LineageOS charter (cannot post URL but see charter on GitHub) it states: "Samsung devices that cannot support hardware encryption due to Knox/Tee are exempted from the hardware crypto requirements. MUST still support software crypto."
Second some have recommended resizing the /data partition to leave 4 blocks at the end to fix the issue.
Does anyone have a solid answer as to why encryption does not work on Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 SM-T217S? Is it a hardware issue, LineageOS issue, or an issue with neither related to partition size, TWRP, or similar?
On a much simpler note if anyone has gotten full device encryption working on on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 SM-T217S what rom version did you use?
Hello friends , i want help to change SELinux mode to permissive.
Im using Indian Variant on Oreo Beta.
setenforce 0 in terminal command didnt work.
Thanks
The same issue on P10 lite EMUI8.0
There is an app called selinux switch but only works on rooted phone
There currently isn't a way to make it passive from what I can tell. The switch app doesn't do anything on oreo/emui 8

Doesn't work on the devices mentioned.
Can you change the title to read as a question please? This leads readers to think that this is an instruction on How to change SELinux mode.
You can set it to permissive by downloading the Morfuz kernel in the Kernel section, then using the SELinux Permissive module in Magisk, but if you are doing this to try and install Viper4Android, it only has 32 bit drivers and the honor 7x is 64 bit, so it won't work.
Has anyone tried to turn on KVM on our phone ?
I compiled the kernel with KVM but the phone hangs on the logo. If you compile a kernel without KVM, then the kernel works.
To enable the KVM I added to the whyred-perf_defconfig:
CONFIG_VIRTUALIZATION=y
CONFIG_KVM=y
CONFIG_KVM_MMIO=y
CONFIG_KVM_ARM_HOST=y
The kernel was compiled without errors, the KVM folder with files appeared in the folder with the compiled kernel.
Maybe the kernel is not working because of MIUI ?
One person just compiled the kernels for their phones and everything works for him. Processor in one of these phones snapdraon 450. KVM workin on Honor 7c pro, honor p20 pro and samsung galaxy s8
i have redmi note 4 and wants to enable kvm virtualization ,you have done on your redmi note 5 pro but failed i wanna try..and if any buddy has way to enable kvm plz tell us
Hey guys!
So as the title says, I have installed Corvus 10.5, xiaomiparts didn't work... so I decided to install 9.0 just then, and the xiaomiparts don't work. Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to grant permissions somewhere? Can anyone shed like on how to enable fps info (the main reason why I'm flashing this rom) ??? Thank you
