HI,
I installed ROM VDT V6 on my F400K and now my software version has changed from F400K10g to F400L10g. I am afraid it might cause an issue later down the line esp in super user access. Any idea how to fix this?

Did you restore system apps? you should not restore anything of your previous system (specially system app) just user apps and data with titanium backup.
Please answer on the other thread this way your problems/solutions can help other guys with our same device.
Might sound a bit silly, but I'm trying to root my G3, but I don't even know if the software and device is supported? I'm in the UK, but the build number ends in 589 (not 10xx) so I'm confused as to whether it would work safely?

1.Xposed woun’t work for now on L maybe later...
http://www.xda-developers.com/android/rovo89-speaks-up-regarding-art-and-android-l-support/
2.you can try the new L here this after bump you device (Costum rom with old bootloder that can enable you to downgreat back to 4.4.2)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/rom-lollipop-rooted-rom-skin1980-t2936022
I still don't konw for sure if root & bump works on L rom stock and if we can downgreat back to 4.4.2 safely for bump & root with out brick ,
some of them says yes with TOT/KMZ some syas otherwise ...
If we can now ? maybe LG will block it in other updates soon...we don't and can't know until it arrive !
Xposed wont work on lollipop with an major update. As for root check the flashable lollipop update
Well considering that Xposed needs Dalvik and Lollipop is ART only... I don't think that's going to happen. Most definitely do not take an OTA to Lollipop as there is some big changes in security that may make it harder to root and or bump.

Xposed doesn't work on android 5.0 and it might never work, it is incompatible with ART.
If you are on a 5.0 build because you flashed the KDZ then you are out of luck, there is no way to root it (at least not yet).

Also, although @autoprime has confirmed the release of Android L for the D855 does not implement anti-rollback, this does not mean that other variants will not implement something to keep us from going back to previous software versions, then you may be stuck with Android L but no root or TWRP permanently

So For now we can ,but with other new Ver. of L-5.0 we don't know
If you want root, DO NOT update to the stock 5.0.
Simple as that. No one knows how hard it will be to root, when it will be rooted, or even if it will ever be rooted. Wait for the devs to deliver a version that support root.

the only versions that have lollipop aren't d855 and f400? D855 is rooted and f400 can be rooted.

Hi
I'm attempting to root my LG G3 model D855 with the PurpleDrake rooting tool, but every time I try to do it the tool comes up with the following error.
Any idea where I'm going wrong and how can I fix it.
I'm running MacOSX.
Thanks

Then thats your problem
Theres no current explots for Lollipop
Downgrade back to KitKat and you can root it and install bumped Lollipop if you wish
Ahh ok. Many thanks. I bought the phone with 5.0 already installed. I think I might just wait for when 5.0 root becomes available.

Pretty sure you can downgrade it if you can find the right KDZ
1) What does it say under software version?
2) Is it carrier branded?
3) What part of Europe are you from? I might be able to find the KDZ for you
Software version V20f-EUR-XX
and I believe it's not carrier branded.

20-i its tmobile right if yes then read the reply and click the link.
You should wait for the OTA for 20-0 because once rooted OTA will cause bootloops. But if you dont wanna upgrade then follow below link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmo...ck-guide-h811-20-o-bootloader-unlock-t3421589
This is very strange because I have H815, not 811
I unlock bootloader via official Lg page
Install TWRP also no problem
But when I wanna install coustom room, phone bootpool and I must use LGBridge to back v20i

on G2 all variants have different names.. you cant mistake... but i remember someone said 20i so i assumed he meant for h811. and they said i was misleading information.. that it was for H815.. i then hover mouse over link and in fact had 20i H815... so am i right.. all variants in G4 are different names letters..
