The smileys/emoticons on the G3 are weird, and I don't think they look good. Is there a way to change them to the default android ones?
Search and find the thread above this one that is the same question

i Just found out, that you can send emojis with stock JB mms app with out any 3rd party app.. if its been coverd all ready cool make sure that Emoji Support is checked in setting for MMS.
select the person u want to message
then select the 3 dots next to paper clips
and insert emojis
I see posts about emojis all the time...how old are you? I'm seriously taking a poll.

I was wondering if it is possible for someone with the knowledge to modify the stock sms app to include emojis? If so would you be willing to? Ive looked around and havent seen one yet.
Thanks in advance!

Bump!
Pm a dev is your best guess. I'm pretty sure all you'd have to do is just modify the emojis that are built into JB and replace them with the raw code of the little Japanese ones. Probably alot harder then what it sounds like.

I went back to go sms and all is well. Mods can feel free to delete this thread as it no longer serves a purpose.

The touchwiz launcher is an actual apk, just like everything else in android. He is saying you can extract it.

I know it's an apk.. Seclauncher.apk...
What I'm asking is how would I add the optimized version?

Delete the one in the rom you want to flash, replace with optimized one and THEN flash the rom
Or you can do it real time by installing that apk over the non-optimized one you have in the rom you are currently running

It would be nice to see some devs incorporate this into their roms. It works great so make sure you drop experiacle a thanks if you like it.

Can you give us a ste0 by step??? Or what we follow different? Dont want lockscreen all messed up.
Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
As soon as I nail down the best DPI for this I will post them all here
BTW I believe lock screen DPI is controlled by android system in exposed app settings

I messed around with this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2255711
but it messed up my lock screen too much. Would be interested in this if the lock screen issues could be over come.
Also, it would be nice not to have to go into the buildprop all the time to change things.

Follow the link disposablehero1985 put in his op. This mod wont mess up the lockscreen but you will have to mess with build.prop slightly. Just to change dpi and change build characteristics to tablet. Its not so much as all in a zip for Sprint phones yet....

Big thanks to you for the find! Ive been looking for this since I got my note2. Ive got it 95% together. Just swapping out app by app in between bkups til I have a full note rom based on mc2. Were you able to find a stable dialer that can handle different dpis?

Have any of you locked in on the best settings for this mod? I would love to do this! I have a note 10.1 and a note 2 and love them more everyday because guys like you figure out things like these. The other cops at the pd were making fun of my really big phone the other day until I started showing them snote and multi Window capability to watch movies and take notes and then play music and all that. This mod would make them regret their iphone purchase.
Only thing they have that I wish we had is the whole group messaging, which I hear is coming in Android 4.2 ...

I had an s4 before picking up my HTC one. An app I really liked was 3minit settings because I could quickly change the icons and their colors among other tweaks.
Is there any thing like that for another carrier or version that could be ported to ours?
