And when I want to turn on the mobile data or call to someone it's go to Emergency Call mode ...
Please help me ... I tried with some Sim Cards and it didn't help me ...
And I Changed my ROM.even I flashed CM ROM but the problem didn't solved.
Why does my problem happen and what should I do ?????
What's the problem?

I installed many official and custom ROM but you say factory reset ?????
I'm sure this problem is not because of an application.because when I Factory reset or install a new ROM it is good for a while but after 10 minutes the problem is shown ...
When I Insert a Sim Card in the device the screen turn off and on quickly and the network of Sim Card will Unavailble and it goes to Emergency Call Mode ...
What's your Idea?

well i just want to make sure and the reason a screenshot of the background is because sometimes when you quit an app, it doesnt always shuts downs and runs on background and could be the cause of the problem. so can you please post a screenshot.
well i guess you figured it out

You mentioned you have flashed many ROMs both custom and original.
Do you use TitaniumBackup to restore? And if so, do you restore data as well?
I would recommend not restoring phone data and when you restore your apps, do a few at a time to see if it is an app causing this.
If you don't use TitaniumBackup, and allow Google to restore, do the same.
You say it starts to happen after several minutes after a fresh flash... I think there is an app that is causing this.
Good luck.

Same problem also since this morning... Yesterday I had no problem using my phone and when I used my phone this morning bam "android.processus.acore" stopped (my HoX is set to French ).
I just tried to reinstall (without wipe) the Rom... but no changes
I'm gonna try Wipe cache / dalvik.. and if there is no improvement.. will go for a full wipe ..
Update 1: Btw, I haven't installed any new apps since yesterday, nor updates
Update 2: Dlvik and cache didn't solved the problem
Did that too... Also no use... Is that some 2103 bug?

I faced the exact same problem a minute into 2013!!
This is what I did to solve the issue:
1. Disable auto-sync
2. Go to Settings -> Apps -> All -> Contacts Storage
3. Select "Clear Data"
4. Your address book is wiped clean
5. Reboot and enable auto-sync to get your contact list populated again from Google
Problem solved!
As an additional step, if you want you can use a tool like Export Contacts to save your address book as a CSV before clearing it in Step #3.
Update 3:
- I Full wiped the phoned, installed new rom (through CWM 5.8.4.0) qnd it worked perfectly.
- Then I reinstalled the tom with the % battery (without wipe) and again crashes
- So, reinstalled the whole thing without % battery... for the time being, runs smoothly..
Keep you informed..

is this some kind of 2013 bug?
i just wiped clean my contacts yesterday do i must do it again to fix this problem?
it 100% sure after i wipe clean the contacts it will work again?
notice tousals
I'm not sure if this is a guaranteed to solve the issue for good. But, this seemed to be the easiest and quickest way to solve it without having to do a factory reset.
But it does seem to be related to the change of year. Some sort of bug I guess that got triggered with the year rollover.

Solved
With de Factory Reset the problem continue, but with de address book wiped the problem is gone for good :good:
After the contacts db wipe it was fine for few hours, came back...
And I had it factory reset yesterday I do not think this will help in the long run.
---------- Post added at 06:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:39 PM ----------
So the wipe solution wont help me. After it syncs its get bugged again.
What might have helped. I edited my contacts that had birthday on 29.02 to 28.02 <<< this year there is no 29 only 28.
And in the contacts it showed as 1.03
Now it shows "correctly" 28.02
PS: While editing the app crashed and had to do it few times. Maybe through google contacts editing might work also if the app crashes for you while changing the date.
Sorry dad HTC or Google hates your birthday!
If someone will find out why there is such a problem let me know so I can change the date back
So glad im not the only one that had this problem. I had the same thing after midnight. I did delete my contacts but then my call history and text contacts went crazy so i just did a factory reset. Seems to be fixed for now. I did notice however that my background screen doesnt seem to scroll between homescreens anymore like it used to, but i dont know it thats just been since it updated to JB or not
I ended up uninstalling facebook and unfriending the person with a leap year birthday (functioning phone more important, sorry!) reinstalled, resynced and no problems since.

Hey guys,
I had the exact same problem on my One S.
After a factory reset, the problem occured again and then I found this post and a clue the 29/02.
One of my contact has her birthday on this date. Only by removing this birthday in the contact sheet, everything came back to normal.
So don't perform a full wipe too quickly.
Also u may try to remove the facebook account, and then reconnect.
This is a solution too!

Hello there,
Over the the past year I have been using CM12.1 on my GT-I9195. However, yesterday I decided to check for updates (after few months) and there was one. I didn't notice that it was CM13 and .zip installed it. Then it got complicated. At first it asked me to update Google Play services, so I downloaded the Nano 6.0 pack and .zip installed it. Then it got bad... After rebooting the screen was black and kept saying that the wizard failed to install. So, I decided to download 12.1 again and .zip install it. Since then the phone is stuck at the CM logo. I tried to .zip install CM 13 again but after rebooting, it says "android is starting optimizing app X of XXX" and once it is done, it restarts itself and starts optimizing again in a loop.
My question is, is there any way how to make it run again without factory restore, or is there a way how to at least backup data like contacts and messages when the phone won't load?
Thank you

Hi there. If i am not wrong, u r unable to boot and u want to restore contacts n messages right? I think one of the options is go to recovery, take a nandroid backup. Now factory reset or flash a working rom and install "Nandroid Manager"(app). Then in this app you have one of the options to restore your contacts and messages. That's it. Good luck.!

just back up the cm12 rom from the recovery and clean install another rom cm13. in cm13 install the nandroid manager and using it you will have the option to select the backup file of cm12 and there then you will see restore options for messages and call logs.
Alright, Thank you, I'll try that

you would not be restoring anything from the old backup. only messages. it will not effect your new rom in any other way.
i just now restored messages from cm13 to stock rom jelly bean with no problem.

this is where i will be putting all the files
https://goo.gl/msJuFh
How to install:
1: unzip folder to TWRP backup folder
2: restore "foxmod" backup from twrp
3: wipe data and caches
4: reboot and enjoy!
Note: if an app crashes with "an error occored installing "blah blah blah" please uninstall the app then re install the app" you need to convert the app to a user app using the system app manager then convert it back to a system app using the same tool

@fennectech,
I applied the GSM patch but im still not getting a signal although I have USSD codes.
I have restarted, factory reset and all but i'm still getting the error. I have reinstalled the ROM and am getting the same results
Please note I got the errors before I applied the GSM patch.
Something else, the camera is gone, not working
Can I request something from you, Please back up one stock ROM of a 612 and share it with me, I'd rather go back to stoc.k. My backup is messy Thank you for your noble work
I am trying to install it as well. I have TWRP installed with a 2.8.7 recovery image and when I try to peform a backup, it only brings me back to the fastboot menu. Never does an actual backup. So, therefore, there is no TWRP/backups folder to put the files in. I have tried doing a restore as well using the image but not luck. It tells me it's going to reboot but same thing, it just reboots to the fastboot menu. It is rooted and S-Off already using Sunshine
Any suggestions?

I want to remove Applock from Device Administrators so that I can uninstall Applock, which I'm unable to do
When I uncheck Applock, the Settings app restarts / crashes and it restores Applock as Device Admin
Hence, I'm stuck with this, and I can't remove Applock from Device Admins
Oh okay, now I understand. Well, that shouldn't happen. What does that app do exactly?

Its supposed to lock apps in my phone which certainly fails to do.
Its not only AppLock which cannot be removed from Device Admins, its with the Android Device Manager too
Its a bug !!
Just format your phone... Honestly, I'm not sure there's other solution.
I am facing the same issue with app easytouch, do let me know if you find any solution
device administrator ???
I try to uninstall the first N Launcher It is not the default launcher. When I select it I keep getting "SETTINGS HAS STOPPED" Restart App.
So not sure what to do about this.
Start android in safe mode. And then disable device administrator setting and uninstall the App.
To restart android in safe mode open the shut-down menu and press and hold the shut-own entry for 2-3 sec. until you get the option to restart in safe mode. To leave safe mode restart you phone.

Doesn't the app have inbuilt uninstall option to remove it from Device Administrators list, like Greenify?

If you have TiBU, uninstall using it.

If you are rooted, install TiBU and then try it. If not, then I am out of ideas.

After uninstalling the offending app, you can uninstall TiBU and unroot the phone. Merely flashing the ROM again will make you to go back to stock. You will/should not lose any data if properly done, provided your bootloader is already unlocked. If not, then I don't know how else to do it.

Well then you are out of luck. There is no way to remove it without root.
Hi guys. So I need help with my M9. There's an OTA update, and it keeps failing to install. When I download it I try to install it and here's what happens: It starts installing it and when it reaches 24% it stops for like a minute then it reaches 25%. After that the % indicator flashes and then it stays like that for 1-2 minutes and it opens the recovery saying that it failed. This is happening on a stock, non-rooted device. If you can help I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
Boot to fastboot (white screen) and post what it says at the top of the screen.

Due to the phone being S-OFF we know that someone tinkered with it. Therefore, the system partition most probably is modified. That's why the OTA aborts. The slightest modification of the system makes the OTA security checks fail.
Get the RUU for your current OS version from the ReadMe thread and flash it with one of the methods that are explained in the same thread. This should restore your phone's system partition so that you can install OTAs, again. Be aware that RUUs delete all your personal data from your phone.

RUU tells me it reboots to bootloader and it doesn't actually do anything and the update fails, what's the issue there?

Please don't hijack the threads of other users. That quite impolite towards the OP.

You're right, I'll make my own thread and have my issue solver faster due to the OP being higher priority :cyclops:

I personally don't like backing up things in cloud services. Therefore, I'll only name offline alternatives.
Photos, videos, music, contacts and SMS can get backed up with MyPhoneExplorer. For backing up WhatsApp messages and its media files you'll want to use the app's offline backup function and to copy the WhatsApp folder from your phone's internal storage to your PC. I don't know a way to backup other apps (without root). However, restoring app data from older android versions often leads to bugs and glitches since directories change sometimes during system updates. Therefore, I'd recommend starting from scratch even if your phone was rooted. It actually doesn't take that long to set up apps, again.
