Hello, I went into retard mode and tried to flash TWRP using CloudyFa's app that is designed for the G2 (experimentation is dangerous ). Basicly his app wrote over the Bootloader, Baseband and recovery partition. So is there any way to manually flash the LG G3 partitions back onto the device? It wont charge (visibly), wont boot, wont go into download mode and wont go into recovery. It's pretty dead. Anyone who can, please help! Thanks!
EDIT: Issue sorted. New G3 inbound!

Thank you sir! I just thought to myself before I did it "Oh, what if the file system and partition layouts are similar on the G2 to the G3, may aswell flash some G2 stuff and see what happens!" xD Still, things like that need lokified and ported to run on the G3. When and IF I get a new G3 (A few days hopefully) Ill have a look at actual development as i'd love to get a working build of CWM ported over. But that is probably unlikely as I dont have a huge knowledge in Android. I've ported plenty of roms, eg: Chasmodo's Asylum from the N7000 to run on the Nexus 5 (It worked ) But I've no experience in tinkering with recoveries!
@Fauert @ant78 They are sending out a new G3, it will be here on Wednesday! Once again fantastic customer service from Three! :victory:

Hi guys,
I'm new here and was hoping one of you maybe able to help? I rooted my phone last night at work and all went fine. I thought as I was on a role I would do the camera mod too but that's when it all went wrong!
I was rebooting my phone over and over with no issue at all trying to trouble shoot. The phone was working great well apart from the camera lol But when i rebooted it it now just sticks at the LG splash screen with the top led flashing green/blue!
Now I can hold down the button config to get into recovery and it just offers a factory reset so I selected this and it just boots back into this state again!
I have had the battery out for a while and even left it just sitting but it seems knackered for some reason..PLEASE HELP. PLEASE.
Now I have only had the phone for 3 days so what are the odds of getting it replaced and stating it's faulty?
Plug it into your PC and use LG PC SUITE. Restore to factory state

Hi, Yeah i have seen that but most of it goes over my head about the F400 s/k/l models etc i have the uk version and cannot find a straight forward guide. But that's because it is so new i guess.
I may just call the provider and say it's shot! Is there any way they can prove it's been played with when it is this bricked?
Should be a guide for the D855, same model as I have. - depends who the carrier is. O2 can be pissy as can Vodafone and EE. THREE are easy to deal with tho. Because it's in your 14 days, they'll probably replace no questions asked for now.

I'm on 02, there doesn't seem to be any UK TOT files what ever they are only europe/America etc bit to early yet. I really don't see why it has failed it was working perfect then just died.
Give O2 a bell and see what they say. Within the 14 days they'll replace it for you. Unless you get a root savvy salesman who tries to be snotty lol. But tbh you'll be OK for a replacement.

By chance did you take a look at these TOT files? If you are having an issue where your device is only booting to the LG screen and then nothing else, try this. Remove the battery, put battery back in. Plug in your device via USB to your Windows computer, then hold Volume + and the Power button to launch the Download Mode. Download the files TOT file, DLL file, LG Flash Tool, LG Driver and follow the instructions in the above link and this should lead you to restoring your device.

Hi Guys sorry for the late reply,
I have my phone up and running now by flashing the EUR 16GB TOT. And it's working like a charm. Now in the software it states V10a-EUR. My question is. Is this right for the UK and will it void the warranty?
I have read on here that some with the EUR software have trouble with 02/tesco 4g but I can say mine has been running great with 4G.
Thanks again for all the help.

Hi, Ok great sounds like a plan. Was having major issues trying to get it to link to the pc suite so trying on another pc. hope this works this time.
So Friday i went to verizon and bought me a new LG G3 phone, 32G memory 3G RAM, you know the good **** LOL. Well when i got home i wanted to root the phone but when i looked it up there was many options, IOROOT, TowelRoot, and Stump Root. So i tried towel root on the phone but when i clicked the button towel root said my device isnt compatible and my phones build is the VS98510B. So at that point i decided to try IOROOT. When i launched the batch file i made sure i made myself a developer, got the proper drivers, made it connect via usb and set the phone connection to Ethernet. Well in the batch file it said everything was good and that i just needed to click any button to continue well i did that but when i clicked a button it simply closed the batch file. All i clicked was the space bar and it closed. Stump root isnt compatible and im afraid to use bruteforce mode. Any one got any help with this? Andriod Kitkat 4.4.2
Use the brut force method in stump. Takes about 5 minutes.

Read a bit here TWRP is a recovery and backup software for when you flash a custom ROM.. You're not flashing any custom ROMs just yet.. So... I don't think you need to backup anything just yet. After you root the phone you can use TWRP to backup your current stock ROM .. Good luck ..
:good:
I used ioroot with no problems. Check out this vid, pretty straight fwd on what you need to do.

Hello,
Now the phone works, so here is the facts and the steps to resolve the problem :
So, I get a F400S who come flashed in F400K.
Then, it was flash in D855 by mistake.
When I started the phone, it got stuck on the LG logo.
If I tried to go to recovery, I was able to ask the wipe but after he returned on the LG logo.
If I tried to go to dowload mode, I seen the "download mode popup", but after it went into fastboot mode.
In fastboot mode, I used a F400K laf image (fastboot boot laf stock-laf.img).
Then, the download screen shows up ! And my PC started to install the drivers for com port.
I put the lg port to COM 41, then started flashtool with this dll : https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-H4G_jDRCJwRVhBcFdGVzFjTHc/edit?usp=sharing and F400S TOT (not sure if necessary but this is what i did).
The download failed at 11%, but from this the phone booted in download mode without help ! And PC installed other drivers.
From here, I put a F400K tot with the same tool, failed at 83% but the phone worked.
With the same DLL, I was able to flash stock F400S (failed at 80%+ too).
Then, i rooted the phone, put TWRP on it and flash Cloudy G3.
Phone works like a charm now !
My english is not very good, I hope you understand the steps. If someone getstuck I'll be happy to help him in French (or with my bad English).
Thanks to all !

This phone never had TWRP. He never tried to flash anything on it before that.
Thats bad then.
I believe your only choice is repair. LG box could solve this.
Maybe someone has some other suggestion.
It's an imported Asian phone, it will be too much expensive to send it to be fix.
If someone as another solution (even if is not a free solution), i'll be happy.
Go to a gsm service. A jtag should fix it. It shouldn't cost more than 40$.

If he used his phone to flash then he used TWRP.

You clicked download instead of download now. If you extract the ZIP and you only see a single exe called LG G4 Root or similar, DO NOT INSTALL! This is adware/malware. Click on the other download link, and when you extract it you should see 6-8 files with the needed Send_Command and adb files.

Hey guys, long story short I can't use LG Flash Tool, or Odin as it won't even pick it up. All that happens when I press power is that it goes right to TWRP and I can't even restore a backup because it says the partitions don't exist. What should I do??? Thanks
Someone PLEASE HELP ME!!!
Eric
I had the same issue on my n7. Took me a week to fix. Had to end up restoring stock image. Then start from scratch and reroot.

Can you elaborate on how to do it exactly please?
The process will be different depending on your device. You need to get the stock image for your particular variant of the G3 and flash it.
Google either "unbrick LG G3" or "flash LG G3 stock image" or "TWRP, partition does not exist LG G3".
The process I used on the N7 will be different than the one on this device. I actually had to use ADB and CMD command prompts for the N7.
ADB is Android Debugging Bridge. You may need to Google that as well and watch some YouTube videos. Some if them can be very helpful.
