Need help updating (near) stock T999L to 4.3 for my father - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

About a year and a half ago, I gave my father my T999L after I upgraded the phone. Since then it appears a 4.3 update has been released and in order to use his Galaxy Gear watch that he wanted for his birthday, he needs to upgrade. He wants to stick with a stock (or stock based) ROM and I need to get it taken care of for him today. When I had the phone, I was running Dandroid. Because I rooted, installed custom recovery, etc. it reads as modified software and will not receive the OTA even though I flashed returned it to stock before I gave it to him.
Any help would be great - apparently the 4.1.2 bootloader won't work with the 4.3 ROMs? Anyone have a link to something I can just use ODIN to flash and get it all done in one step? I assume the link here can do it? Hopefully...

Thanks in advance.
EDIT : Never mind, we're good. I got it figured out

[Q] Problems updating after going to stock....

So, my company gave us GS3s... And being a fan of custom roms, it is the first thing I did. Well through exchange our Network Admin could tell that it wasn't legit and told me to get it back to stock... Well, I flashed I747UCLG1 via odin and everything looks perfect. The problem is that I cannot upgrade to the latest firmware to I747UCLH9 that was release two weeks ago(ish). I keep getting a communication error, and Keis tells me I am already running the latest firmware.
At&t told me to return it because I am under the 30 day return period, but I would rather not get in trouble with work. Anyone have any ideas on how to get I747UCLH9 on my phone, or better yet how to get the phone to successfully use the OTAs....
Any help would be great!
did you try going to LH1 first, and then to LH9?
it was some time ago that I installed LH1 -- and then jumped to a JB leak, so I by-passed LH9 entirely but I remember liking LH1 and that is still the baseband I am on

[Q]How to Undo Root/Custom ROM ?

Hello,
About a month ago I rooted and installed a custom JB ROM (Kangdroid I believe?) onto my AT&T Galaxy SIII with the custom recovery mod. Now that the official release of JB has come out from AT&T I want to return my phone to it's original factory state with no custom anything, and then update to the official JB release. I don't want to use a custom un-bloated ROM. Call me crazy but I really didn't want to root/mess with the phone in the first place but I really, really, really wanted Jelly Bean. I already have backed up my contacts since that is the only thing I really need to save from my phone at the moment. I can download all of my apps again, etc. I tried searching the forums but couldn't come up with a very clear answer on how to do this. I found it hard to figure out exactly what I needed to do, and since I did this so long ago, I pretty much forgot how to do all of the little things that made my first attempt at flashing/rooting successful. I guess my question is this: What software do I need and what are some links (if any) on this site to help me return the phone to it's original out-of-the box state so that I can update my OS with the Samsung Kies software. Thanks a lot for your help and I hope to hear from some of you soon. Sorry for noobing it up in here.

The same way you rooted it with odin .. download the stock rom from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1968625
push it on with odin and that should revert your phone back to stock ..

[Q] Need Some Help

Can any of you fine chaps perhaps get the latest stock firmware of the SPH-L520 if at all possible? I've gotten myself into a mighty fine rut, and I won't be able to dig myself back out without the firmware. Unfortunately the latest stock image I have is several months old, and Knox prevents me from actually loading it into my ROM. Thanks in advance, and hopefully one of you guys can help me
Never mind, was able to flash a 4.4.2 ROM

[Q] Upgrading S III to 4.4 or getting back to stock rooted 4.3

So long story short, I upgraded to 4.3 a while ago - rooted my phone - and as far as I knew then, I couldn't go back to the default stock phone. That's fine. Locked my phone away and got an old iPhone and used that.
But now (due to extenuating circumstances) I'm going to be stuck using my old S III and wanted to find out if there was a way for me to upgrade to 4.4.2 or to at least get back to a Stock (rooted or not) version of 4.3? I'm running a custom ROM (Slimbean) and don't really know where to look as I've been away so long and don't know what info is correct or not.
The links I posted here should help.

[Q] Attention Drive Link users. I currently have NJ1 firmware.. Is there hope

I picked up a used AT&T S3 here in NY because I just installed an Alpine ICS-X7HD in my car. The S3 had the latest NJ1 installed. I was able to root the phone OK. My research has lead me to believe that I won't be able to get any version of Drive Link running on Android 4.4 without FCing when connecting to the Alpine Unit. Research also seems to suggest that I can't go back to the LK3 version either due to boot loader changes made from Samsung and AT&T with the 4.3 update. So I'm looking for advice from the forum experts on what I can do, if anything to get the phone downgraded to a Jelly Bean firmware. I am hoping to hear from someone who has been able to do this before. Can I go from 4.4.2 to 4.3? If so does Drive link still work for you?
I am comfortable using Odin and adb. Let me know if you need any other specific information.
The solution was so incredibly simple. I flashed the AT&T+UCMG2.ZIP through TWRP and rebooted. Now I am on 4.1.2. Drive Link working! So To Recap...I went from 4.4.2 NJ1 back to 4.1.2 and stayed on NJ1 baseband.

How did you root on Nj1??!
To get to jelly bean, you do the hack like method above by flashing a zip in TWRP or Clockwork mod or boot a custom rom based off 4.1.x. Once you are on 4.3 or 4.4, there is no going back to a previous version, attempts result in bricking.
