Hello all,
I have an E986 model G Pro and it's on CM11. I want to go back to stock Rom however when I try to use LG Mobile Support Tool, it gives "Low Battery" Error even if the phone is fully charged. I'm really helpless right now. How can I go back to stock please help me.
Thanks

So I rooted my Optimus G and installed the CM 10.2 rom awhile back and was loving it. My GPS wasn't working, but I heard that by using LGNPST I can revert back to stock and then save the EFS and then use another restore to go to a rom with the GPS working. I put it off, and then tried to update to CM 11, but wasn't a big fan so I tried to go to use my 10.2 restore. Problem is I lost my LTE connectivity in an area that would always have 4g, and constantly have a com.android.phone error popping up every 3 seconds so going back to stock seems like the best idea.
To try and fix that I try and get LGNPST working, but at first the dll didn't work. So I registered it and try and use it with a Zv7 bin (not exactly sure what bin would be the best to get my optimus g back to stock) but I keep getting an error saying "Failed to load Model DLL". Then another box pops up saying:
"Process: upgrade_masterbin
SubProc: Masterbin Download
Cause: Cannot found MiniDP DLL"
I'm not really sure what to do next since looking for this hasn't yielded the most information for me. Sorry if this problem is easily fixable/has been solved in the forums, but i didn't find a whole lot that would help. Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance.
I owned a LG G Pro F240S and I notice my usb wasn't working. So what I did was
1. Replace to USB module [FAILED]
2. Reset to stock [FAILED]
3. Go into recovery and format everything [FAILED, shouldn't have done this]
4. Flash back to stock in Download Mode[FAILED]
Apparently in download mode the device was not detected. What now? My F240 keeps boot looping :crying:
p/s: previously I can flash back to stock without any difficulties using the same pc...
Which rom were you on? Stock SK Korean? Which Android were you on? Jellybean? Kitkat? Which rom do you want to install into your F240S?
For stock F240S rom, please visit this thread. It has both Jellybean, Kitkat stock rom for all LG Optimus G Pro. Flashing stock rom instruction @ this thread.
For custom F240S rom, try searching on Chinese forums. They have quite a few to choose from. I recently worked on a friend's F240S. It was on stock Jellybean SK Korean rom. I was able to install CM11 rom onto it successfully. However, I had to flash an additional Google Apps file due to google apps crashing such as camera. In addition, I had to install USB switch app (search "USB mode switch for SGS1 on CM" via Play Store) for it to change USB mode. Still have to figure out how to fix wifi. Besides that, it works fine.
Hello friends. I need to explain this problem:
When I bought my phone for the first time, I remember when I made it a full wipe from shortcuts on the phone's buttons, LG applications are maintained.
Now after having rooted my phone, installed TWRP and have installed several roms, I have decided to re-stock with KDZ.
But the problem is that after having flashed the KDZ, LG applications has disappeared.
I'll put screenshot after performing a restore kdz:
***SOLVED***
Flashing original TOT Firmware contains complete firmware.
KDZ not contain all firmware.
I had a similar issue as yours back on my Galaxy s4, except it was the carrier apps (bell) that would be missing, and I also wouldn't get the "LTE" icon after a stock firmware flash if I was going from a rom that didn't already have the icon (weird I know).
Anyways I was able to fix the issue by doing a SECOND flash EVERYTIME I went back to stock rom.
I flashed 100's of times on my s4 and EVERYTIME I went back to stock I had to do 2 flashes or I would have "missing apps"
I never had this issue with my g3 yet, but I haven't tried to go back to stock yet since changing to cloudy rom.
I don't know if this fix will work for the g3 like it did on my s4, but it can't hurt to try.

exactly this happened to me when I try to install the ROM Cloudy, when I want to go back to stock with kdz, the LG system applications disappeared.
My question is this?
The KDZ not come with these pre-installed applications?
It is out of reach of KDZ, it will be in another folder outside SYSTEM.
It's strange, now my question is that will not see problems in an OTA update.
LOL, that strangest problem. :silly:
Solved Mystery...... Flash TOT contains complete stock firmware. :good:
KDZ not contain all firmware.
Dear friends
I would like you to help me out with the strange problem which encountered me this week. Here's the background: I bought Lg f180k (Korean version of Lg Optimus G) with a stock rom i.e Jelly bean 4.1.2. When i checked for updates OTA in phone settings i received a notification of firmware update. I clicked on update and the process started. Everything was normal till it rebooted as it came with a popup message saying "Device has been suspected to be rooted" and the update failed. Than i connected to the pc suite and put the phone in DL mode and start the process again on the pc. This time everything went normal and the phone updated successfully and rebooted. Here comes the main issue, When the phone rebooted after the successfully update the touch was not working at all. I touched every single area on the phone screen but nothing works. And i could see the interface of Kitkat firmware that means it was updated successfully. Please help me to find out the problem. My phones touch screen stop working when update to Kitkat. I restored to stock jelly bean and the phone is working flawlessly. I am really confused and i have searched everywhere but couldn't find this issue on the forum.
TIP: Phone is working perfectly on 4.1.2 stock rom.
When update to Kitkat 4.4, Touch screen stop working at all but the power button still works.
Thanking you in advance.
Seems like the update failed, I suggest flashing the latest KDZ using LG Flash Tool 2014. Try searching the forum for links to get KDZ and Flash Tool. Don't worry, you're lucky it didnt bootloop or get bricked.

Thanks mate.... I tried the solution you told me but still the same. I used the latest KDZ file that is: f180k30c_00.kdz and Latest Lg flash tool 2014. Everything goes perfect with the upgradation process till reboot, No TOUCH on kitkat
I tried the sling custom rom (Sling_TJF_G_F180_v1.2.3_blueberry_29042014) and it works perfectly.
Please anyone help me to update it to Kitkat ....

Have you solved the problem?
I suggest going into lower version of the firmware.
Try F180K 30b ?
Check on back to me, I want to know the out come as I am kinda doing it for my friend aswell
Hey
I tried every file of kitkat but nothing worked. Even i tried the custom sling rom for kitkat but encountered same problem. Everything goes perfect with the upgradation process but after reboot touch stop working at all. It seems like my phone typically doesn't support kitkat rom :-/ its strange. If you find any useful information kindly share with me. Currently i am using sling custom rom for jelly bean and its working flawlessly. Thanks

Greetings,
Thank you for using XDA Assist. I have moved your question to your device's Q&A forum. You'll receive expert advice here. Good luck!
I'd suggest to back up your things and do a factory reset. I flashed mm with flash tool, update wasn't available and even updating to 5.x caused various issues with gapps not working etc.
