Hey Gang.
I was super happy coming home with my brand spanking new G3 phone, until I realized that the feature I'm probably using the most - OSP (On-Screen Phone) is seemingly missing.
Is there a way to get this working on the G3? Can it be ported from G2?
Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Kingkeld.
I would also like to know if there's any way to use OSP with the G3.
Thanks.
I followed the instructions on the following thread and now LG OSP works with my G3.
The relevant post on the thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24633554&postcount=17
I also installed the LG OSP APK on my G3.
Download link for LG OSP APK:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/pdqgzpqy1x08xwi/com.lge.osp-2.apk
Download link for the D855 folder I created (copied from G2 folder and changed model name in all required places):
https://www.dropbox.com/s/cg526mu5rlgy3tw/LG-D855.rar
Detailed instructions:
1. Copy the files from the models available that represent the best your phone and paste them into your model's folder. If it does not exist, create it.
2. Rename the xml file to your model's name, in my case it was P930, which is also the folders name (not sure if this is critical, but to be safe just do so).
3. Open the file with notepad (notepad>open or right-click then edit).
You should see these tags:
Code:
<on-screen-phone id="P930" version="2.0">
<model>LG-P930</model>
<name>P930</name>
I renamed all these (there were named "720X1280"). Fill these tags with the model of your phone, again.
In short, I made a new folder named D855 and copied all the files from the D802 folder to the D855 folder.
Then I renamed the d802 xml file to d855.
I opened the xml file in notepad, did a "search & replace" for d802 to replace it with "d855".
You should do the same for your G3's model number.
@Splashy2k
Thank you very much for this post... Downloaded the files, installed apk but where on the phone do I have to copy the LG-D855 folder?
Or do I have to copy it into a folder on my PC?
Have a good one.
JJ
You need to copy it to a folder on your PC: My Documents\LG OSP\Phone_skin directory
Yippiiiiiieeeehhhhh!!!!!
Thanks a million! It works perfect.
Wonder why it's not in the G3 by default...
Your my hero of the day.
P.S.: I hope you don't mind if I share this in another forum?
No problem, I'm really glad it works for you
Sure, you can share this in another forum.

Will this work on the D850 the way you set it up? If it won't, how would I go about making it work?

I done all as you explained but when I tried to detect my G3 D855 via OSP on PC via USB, it keep saying cannot detect.
It asks me to select PC software option in the USB connection mode in the phone or via Settings/PC Connection , but I do not have the option.
Is this the reason?
It should be on the Media Device (MTP) option, it works for me.
If it still doesn't work, try another USB port on your PC.

This worked PERFECTLY for me too. Thank you so much!
@Splashy2k you are a life saver dude, thank you so much.
please help! I'm really liking the Sprint variant of the G3, but for the life of me I cannot get OSP working. Do you guys know if this works on the LS990 version of the G3?
I had the S5 prior to getting the G3 and i used Samsung's version called Sidesync and it worked well. I'd rather keep the G3, but being able to view/contol my phone from my pc is a necessity.
Thanks in advance guys, have a great one!

It doesn't hurt to try.
Follow the detailed instructions in the above posts.
Copy the G2 folder in the skins folder of the OSP software to a new folder named LS990 or whatever your device's model name is and change the model name in all the required places.
Install the APK on your device.
The device should be on MTP if connected via USB.

bummer. I don't think it works on the Sprint version? For some reason my computer, when launching OSP application, the application itself says that "No USB devices found."
Am I doing something wrong? I followed the steps posted in this post, but haven't had success.
Again, thanks for taking the time out of your day to help me out :good:
Did you try another USB port on your PC?
Try turning on your Wifi if it's not turned on. If that doesn't help, try restarting your phone.
Sometimes OSP doesn't recognize my G3 and the above steps usually help.
Thanks... I'll give that a shot in the morning when I get to work. I have however tried different ports which didn't yield any positive results. Will give it anther run in the am. Honestly this phone is the best I've used so far, with the note 3 coming a close second. The note 3 standouts as a phone that can do Pretty much anything a computer can do but on a smaller scale. The G3, to me, is a bugatti of phones. Just absolutely beautiful, with a monster engine That can do what a smartphone can do at a premium level, but lacks the productivity tools that are actually handy in everyday use.
With that being said, I will mostly likely turn the return my g3 much reluctance ,so that I can get the note 4 coming out soon. I need Samsungs sidesync app, which is the exact same thing as lg osp app.
Loved everything about this phone... But working at a desk on front of a computer makes controlling your phone with the ability to mirror it to your pc monitor is a must for me.
Appreciate all the input and time Y'all took to help a beginning android tech trying to learn the ropes... Props to all you

Hi. I have a LG Fathom and I want to cook its ROM. However, to cook that I guess I need its ROM first. If you know there to find its ROM or if you know how to dump the ROM, can you please help me?
Thanks
Install Microsoft's Network Monitor** (its free - netmon from now on, im lazy ) http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...1d-06cb-4658-b7f6-3088333d062f&displaylang=en
Close all your browser windows, instant messenger, email, anything that uses the network should be stopped while you do this.
Start netmon, and tell it to capture all the traffic on your network card.
Then start the lg-updater program (get it from lg directly), and have it check for updates for your phone.
Go back to network monitor and stop capturing traffic when it's done.
You can then either browse through the captured traffic in netmon directly, and see if you can find a url yourself (it'll be an exe or kdz file) or send me the capture file and I'll find it.
**If you're familiar with wireshark you could use that instead of netmon.
Hey there can90. If you manage to get the base rom for the LG Fathom would you be able to post the link. There is some stuff in that phone that I'm sure others would love to port to other phones; including myself
Can we flash unsigned roms to the Fathom?
Can90 managed to get me a network capture to look through, unfortunately it doesn't contain a reference to the stock rom. I assume this is because LG just hasn't uploaded it yet.
For anyone that wants to play with URLs to try and find it, this is the relevant portion of the response to lg's updater app.
<model>LGVS750SS</model>
<suffix>AVRZDB</suffix>
<esn_date>20100420</esn_date>
<sw_version />
<sw_url />
<sw_locale_url>/</sw_locale_url>
<sw_recommand_uri>AIC/GLOBAL</sw_recommand_uri>
<app_version />
<app_url />
<cs_em_flag>N</cs_em_flag>
<cs_em_uri>N</cs_em_uri>
<chip_type />
normally sw_url and sw_locale_url would have what we want, but they're empty
Hopefuly I will be getting an LG Fathom tomorrow so I will try to help out here. Has anyone else had any luck snagging a complete ROM from LG's site yet?
Nobody that I've been able to find.
I have discovered there is a seemingly different (from the generic one used for the expo) updater for verizon.
I haven't actually looked at it yet, but it's different from the usual B2CAppSetup and is labelled as 1.0.1.8 (the generic one offered up on lg's site is 1.0.1.7) ( http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/client/app/Verizon/LGMobileUpdate.exe )
I'm not sure which one can90 used (I've pm'd him to find out and try the other) but if you've got a phone and a few minutes you could try them both.
Just as an update - I joined the LG forums and posted a question on the fathom update. Here is the post - http://www.lgcommunity.com/forums/aff/6/aft/6481/afv/topic.aspx
When I find out there's an update I will let everyone know.
I just checked the lg update tool and the fathom is on the list as of this morning! It wasn't there when I looked last night.
Is it possible that the fathom update could be a cab file? so far I have this -
URL: /swdata/WEBSW/LGVS750/AVRZDB/VS750ZV5_06/VS750ZV5_06.SV5_06.P58006.R5.cab
Edit:
link here - http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/swdat.../VS750ZV5_06/VS750ZV5_06.SV5_06.P58006.R5.cab
Is this whats needed? Not trying to push for an answer, just updating and asking...

This doesn't appear to be a real cab file....not one that anything I've got recognizes anyways
Windows explorer opened it when others couldn't
At 130 megs it probably is what we're after, just in a new (to me at least) format. Did you try flashing it?
Running "strings" against it the first few turned up are
These are the contents of the cab file
VS750ZV5_06.SV5_06.P58006.R5.wdb
VS750_W_1_0_7_0.dll
VS750ZV5_06.SV5_06.P58006.R5.wdh
the wdh/wdb are not extensions I'm familiar with and I'd be more than a bit surprised if it was a ms works database. I'll try and take a closer look at the file later today if nobody else has by then.
Edit: Apparently that's the same packaging the vs740 came in. From what I could find, people hadn't been able to find tools to successfully unpack the wdb.
Going through the flashing process should leave a .bin file in the usual lgmobileax location, not clear whether that's something we can unpack with existing tools either.
Hey there da_reeseboy. Great find on the firmware. Once quick question though that may help me get past where I am stuck extracting the firmware. What is the firmware version that is running on your fathom. If your not sure where to look, got to start menu/Settings/System/System Info and click on the plus box next to Version Info. What does it say after ROM?

I don't have a version info with a plus sign next to it but under software version it says VS750ZV4
Thanks da_reeseboy. I see that that is an older version than the cab from the updater program. I haven't had any success extracting the files. If someone with a fathom is willing to try this we may be able to get the rom. We would need someone to attempt to flash their phone to the new firmware. To do this run the updater program and connect your phone to your computer. Next, make sure you have an activesync connection and start update. It should place the phone in emergency download mode. The update program should start running, will detect your phone, download the new firmware and start loading it to your phone. This is where you will need to search for the rom. In win xp go to:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\LGMOBILEAX\Phone
in win7:
C:\Users\All Users\LGMOBILEAX\Phone
The rom should be in that folder. Just simply copy it somewhere so that you have a copy of it after exiting the updater since the updater deletes the file after completion. After that we would just need you to upload the rom to a free file sever and post the link for someone to download.
I'll be happy to try it in the morning with some coffee lol. I'll post my findings.
Edit: Do we want to try to pull the current version on my phone first before flashing the update? Just as something to compare to?
just an update - I dumped the stock rom, then tried to do the update but my computer is saying that it can't connect to the com port. I'm gonna try it on my laptop when I get back home (family was hungry so we went to get food). does anyone know if the update tool has an issue with win7 64 bit vs 32 bit?
Edit: home now, started update on my laptop - its working great so there must be an issue with 64 bit...
Update done. I snagged the files in that folder, but I don't think they will do us much good - its just the contents of the cab file.
For those interested, here is the contents of the phone folder during the update -
http://www.multiupload.com/5ZA2Z2QB00
Hey da_reeseboy. Thanks for trying. i was hoping that the updater would unpack the wdb file. Guess it didn't. You had mentioned something about dumping the original version on your phone. Do you have a copy of the dump?
I just finished uploading it and a dump of the update -
VS750ZV4 - http://www.multiupload.com/M7FYR42S60
VS750ZV5 - http://www.multiupload.com/KTED97KZU3
Think we can do anything with these?
Ok so lg released VS750ZV7_04 update awhile ago but us lg fathom users couldn't up date cause there is an error in their software
here is a guide on updating you Fathom
First I ran the lg software update tool from lg to make it go to the downloading black screen -- you can get the software too from here http://www.lg.com/us/mobile-phones/vwz-phone-software-update.jsp --
extraced LG-Utils-0.4.2.zip to C:\
made a folder called "VS750" in C:\
Got the cad file from here http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/swdat.../VS750ZV7_04/VS750ZV7_04.SV7_04.P58006.R5.cab
renamed the cab file to "VS750ZV7_04.cab" than put it into the "VS750" folder
next I right clicked on "KP500-Utils-EN.exe" and changed the compatibility to winxpsp2
and ran it as admin
I than picked "J"
and than put in "VS750" for the model
than I put in "C:\VS750\VS750Zv7_04.cab" when it asked for the cab file
than I put in "VS750ZV7_04" for the version.
and it worked here is a picture of what the update looks like now

I have attached the lg uilt 0.4.2 to update your phones
That's very cool.
Once you have v7 installed, could you possibly dump the OS for me? I would love a copy of the OEM and SYS for my GW825.
sure i can just tell me how to dump it and i will get that to ya

I am sorry but it won't let me dump I might be doing something wrong

Hmm, well I can't help you there.
da_reeseboy posted dumps of v4 and v5. Perhaps he can help get you going.
Lol this explains why both of you asked about dumping the rom.
@bhast2: I shot you back a pm.
@trueg: I'm trying to snag a usb monitoring program so I can monitor the data before I upgrade... I haven't found anything solid yet.
Dumping it right now thanks for your help da_reeseboy
OK I have dump it to .raw how that is what you need cause I dont' know what to do with the .raw files
OK here is the dump of V7_04

I just wish we could use a custom rom on our fathoms
So what has been updated/changed in V7?

is it recommended to update to v7? some people are saying it is buggy and want to revert to v5, while others said its awesome, how about you guys what can you say about the v7?
LGFathom connects to WMDC but LGMobile updater and KP500-Utils-EN don't see the phone
Hi,
I just got a LG Fathom (V4) and want to upgrade to V7 before I start using it for real (I'm semi-computer literate, but new to phone hacking). My Fathom connects up to WMDC and syncs. But when I try to us LGMobile Updater, it starts bringing up "install USB driver" windows, one on top of the other. I unplug the phone and installed USB drivers from the updater and still get the same thing. While it's bringing up the driver windows, it looks like it is connecting and disconnecting from the phone, but I can't see for sure since the USB installer windows pop up over it. So I tried using the KP500-Utils approach, but it says "no phone attached". I notice in Windows 7 (32bit) Device Manager that the phone is under "Portable Devices", not a USB device. Does that make any difference. Both of the updating utilities can't find the phone. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
never-used USB port "solved" my updater looping problem
It might be pure luck or a Windows fluke, but I got the updater to work by plugging the Fathom into a USB port I've never used before (I have two on the side -- that I use all the time for various devices -- and two on the back of my laptop). I plugged it in and then started LGMobile Updater and it saw my phone and updated it to V7. And it works. Hope this helps someone else.
Alternate Connection For This Method
Guys,
Hope this helps someone, I tried the initial method and ran into the same issue as others where the device is not recognized. I switched the USB connection to VZAccess Manager in Settings-Connections-Switch USB. The device then recognized and allowed update. I then tried a second device (company phones) and the VZW/LG Official updated worked with the same method.
Thank you LG for the craptastic updater and complete lack of knowledge about your device!
Thank you Bhast2 for your post, it saved my ass today and kept a customer happy!
P
can we upgrade the LG FATHOM to Win7 OS? Is there any possiblities?
Thanks
ya, I am wondering the same thing, if we can put windows 7 on it.
Also is there custom themes we can get or can we put at least android on it? Was thinking of exchanging my omnia 2 for this phone, not sure though.
I have installed the connectivity on many machines that others have given up on!
It's EASY! Before you begin, You might also need to open my computer, click on tools, folder options, views and put checks in display contents of system folders
also put a check on show hidden files and folders. Just so that you will be able to see the necessary folders and files.
1) Un-install any other android phone connection software that might be installed on the PC.
2) Use Microsoft Update and get the PC updated to the latest available updates.
3) Install the latest Media Player available to your OS. (XP is only capable of 11) NOTHING LOWER THAN !0 WILL WORK.
The files can be downloaded from the link below.
4) Copy the 2 files in the Toshiba INF folder to your Windows/inf folder (The original ones in your system are mostly the reason for the problem)
5) Install the Kies software, and do not let it update! The newer version won't work.(Don't panic, it takes a few minutes to complete the install)
6) After you're all done, make sure you have the USB Debugging checked on your phone. (Settings/developers options)
Connect the phone to the PC using the USB cable that came with the phone.
It may take a while for the new drivers to install, and also a while to recognize the phone. Just be patient
7) If the system does not work the first time, disconnect the phone and reboot the PC.
8) Open Kies and do the Troubleshoot Connection (it has kept a record of what needs to be fixed when it tried and failed.
9) After it completes, Re connect the phone to the PC, after a while, it will make the connection!
10) After the first time it connects, you will no longer need to run the Kies software to connect to the PC.
Just connect the cable and the PC will recognize the phone..
If for some reason it loses connectivity and cannot connect again, just run the kies again and it will work like it did before.
The files you will need (except the Media Player) can be gotten here:
http://bitshare.com/files/scn15w79/Best-Way.rar.html 3/18/2013
http://www.putlocker.com/file/0D6BDDFFF311EF1C
Link added and checked as of 6/8/13
4) Copy the 2 files in the Toshiba INF folder to your Windows/inf folder (The original ones in your system are mostly the reason for the problem)

I was advised to check this thread out in regards to my S2 lte having the same issue. That being said it hasn't worked. Can't see what I could be doing wrong. As far as i can tell the only thing that was even slight unclear is whether or not to delete the original files int he INF folder as the two files in the Toshiba folder have the same name as the ones in the INF folder. So I choose copy and replace. Was that incorrect?
AAARGHHHH the issue has now spread to my 10.1 Tablet. Nothing connects now.

That would be wherever YOU downloaded it to
when you click on the download link at the end of the list, you will download it. unpack the files. Then you will be able to copy them to the ini file folder in windows.

it's is not that hard to understand if you read the steps carefully. maybe you might want to print the list out, and check off each step as you complete it. Also you would be able to reference the file as you are doing the steps.
if you skip any one of the steps, or jump around, it may not work as the steps in the procedure were deliberately done to facilitate the actions that occurr behind the scenes, and still achieve the expected results.

As far as i can tell the only thing that was even slight unclear is whether or not to delete the original files int he INF folder as the two files in the Toshiba folder have the same name as the ones in the INF folder. So I choose copy and replace. Was that incorrect?

RE-upped one and verified the other as working. 6/8/2013
this not works on my S4 ... I do all but NOT !! :crying:
Not working 29/12/2016
To establish connectivity, I would download the universal Samsung USB drivers or install Kies/SmartSwitch and use the original Samsung USB cable on a USB 2.0 port.
Can't download the files off that site, as well as I can't access my I535PP at all. I've tried everything, and at one point kies said my device wasn't supported yet it's on the list... Idk what to do...
Edit: Kies specifically says unsupported device when it goes to connect to it, and says to use smart switch but that wouldn't work either.

The root worked like charm for Optimus G Pro E988 :fingers-crossed:
Here's how I managed to root my device:
1. Download the E988 drivers here: h t t p://w w w .lg.com/hk_en/support-mobile/lg-E988
2. Following the link there, you will download a file: B2CAppSetup.exe
3. Open the file, "LGMobile Support Tool" application will show up
4. Go to Customer Support >> Application, Manual & USB Driver Download tab
5. A new window will appear, Input your phone IMEI (*#06# then call from your phone)
6. After inputting your IMEI, press the button (Magnifying glass icon) to the right of IMEI number
7. A file name will appear in the box below, double click it and it will automatically download the file(s)
8. Look in C:\LGE988\ folder (Default download location), and run "LGUnitedMobileDriver_S4981MAN38AP22_ML_WHQL_Ver_3.8.1.exe"
9. The driver for E988 will be installed on the computer
10. Turn on USB debugging on the device, connect the device to computer using the USB cable
11. I use "Media sync (MTP)" mode instead of "Charge only" mode
12. Run root.exe from the link that the OP gave (h t t p s://m e g a .co.nz/#!xJxVGaJD!S2sGqk-7euyyNxpdA9jIrXLBR7Jd5FKdsJXnVx3lahI)
13. Wait for your device to reboot, after that the device should be rooted (check the SuperSU app, if it's there then rooting process is successful)
Mind the space in the links above, I can't post a link at the moment

Hello
This is the process that I used to unbrick the LG G Pad 8.3 tablet.
Note 1: The operating system on my PC is Windows XP SP3 x86
Note 2: The same process should also work on LG G Pad 10.1 (With a different .tot file)
1. First of all you should make sure that the G Pad is detected when connected to the PC.
The device should be seen as QHSUSB_DLOAD in Other Devices section in Device Manager.
hxxp://i.imgur.com/IawJZq0.jpg
2. Install the QHSUSB Driver for your operating system.
The driver can be found here:
hxxp://mega.nz/#!HlpViaTJ!NPACjSQtTjGWdYIj3kHO3bGfmAotaSSQindmgRY9VJ4
I have used the driver from the "checked" folder.
Reconnect the tablet and you should now see the device as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COMxx) under the Ports section in Device Manager.
Take a note of the COM port number.
hxxp://i.imgur.com/IR7uUCB.png
3. Download the .tot image file for you tablet model.
I have used the one from here (LG G Pad 8.3 V500 4.4.2):
hxxp://androidfilehost.com/?fid=23329332407581518
4. Now you need the LG BoardDiag tool.
Download this one from here:
hxxp://mega.nz/#!XwgkXTAR!JnAAXKBQoezT7CcxRSVkSQlPFr4AXcvfm6oJbw4bht4
Please use only this one even if you have another BoardDiag. I have tried other versions and this was the only one that worked. For the other versions I always got some error:
failed during loading flash programmer
or
device not found in dload trying flash programmer
With this tool we will extract the .tot rom image first.
Unrar the archive and open BoardDiag3.99c application.
Click on the ... button next to BIN from the Image Extraction section on the bottom of the BoardDiag application and browse to the .tot file you downloaded at step 3.
Then click on the ... button next to DIR and browse to a folder to extract the files in.
Click on the Extract button and wait for the files to be extracted.
After the extraction is complete, close the BoardDiag application.
hxxp://i.imgur.com/Kw0ZhUv.jpg
5. Now we will perform some cheks on the tablet.
Open the BoardDiag application again.
Now select the AP check and EMMC TEST checkboxes from the Board Diag Test section on the top-left.
Also choose the G-pro (APQ8064) on the AP Chipset dropdown selection box. Choose the Com Port that you took a note of at step 2. Select as the Target Dir the folder where you extracted the .tot image file at step 4. These settings are in the top-right side of the BoardDiag application. Make no other changes to the settings.
Now Click on the big START button and wait for the checks to be made.
If everything is OK you should see under the Test Results section the green text PASS both under the AP and EMMC. Leave the BoardDiag application open. Now you can proceed to step 6.
6. Now we will Flash the files to the tablet.
Now you will also check the SDRAM TEST checkbox on the left top side of the BoardDiag application. The other settings were already made in step 5. Click the START button again.
After performing the checks you should see that the files from the image (aboot.mbn, boot.mbn, etc.) are written to the tablet.
After that, the BoardDiag tried to reset the tablet, but it failed and it ended with FAIL for SDRAM under the Test Results section. But the files were already written on the tablet.
7. After that I disconnected and reconnected the tablet to the PC. Nothing was detected, or so I thought, because I could see that in Device Manager something was happening. It was like refreshing itself every 5 seconds or so. I disconnected the tablet from the PC and I plugged in the wall charger. It turns out that the battery had no power.
After a few minutes the LG logo appeared on the screen. Nothing else was happening but I could see the LG logo. I left the tablet to charge the battery for at LEAST 3 hours. If your tablet battery is also discharged you should plug your tablet to the charger for at LEAST 3 hours.
After that I reconnected the tablet to the PC and it was detected as G Pad but it couldn't find the driver.
8. Install the LG Mobile Drivers.
You can get them from here:
hxxp://mega.nz/#!j8xikSYC!Njz3E1_PSJanzQEeZCbbEoWfxUz9TfrTVgusqBCJ2qY
After the driver installation reconnect the tablet to the PC.
It should now be connected properly.
9. Download LG Mobile Support Tool. You can use the launcher from here:
hxxp://mega.nz/#!bp5jgBQJ!xqiMyQU7z-ATlYz__0ybz2kM7boeLFNgqsu5XoPPSzo
Open LG Mobile Support Tool. You should now see the tablet is connected correctly and you should see the tablet model on the left side of the LG Mobile Support Tool. You will now go to Options and choose Upgrade Recovery. Wait for the image to be downloaded and flashed to the tablet.
After the process is completed the tablet will boot to life again.
Please write your comments bellow if you succeeded or failed. I will provide further assistance if required.
PS: I think you need to remove the battery and reinsert it after step 6. Or it could also work if you let the battery discharge completely.
Good luck!
I could not post the images and the links.
I will add them later (after I get to 10 posts).
Contact me on skype (cyadron) for the files and for other help.
nice finding.
it can be handy if we try to flash the v510 bootloader on the v500 to see if it fits and "unlocks" the pad

Actually it was the only way I found that worked to unbrick this tablet.
Bricked LG G Pad
Need your help man with those files. I bricked my device after flashing wrong file. I have tried LG G2 Pro Board Diag tool and everything passes except SDRAM.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
Links for files
Hi, I bricked my GPad and would be very interested in getting the proper files or links. How can I get them?
I will update this thread as soon as I can post links. Hopefully no more than a few days.

Can you post links ?
This sounds very promising @cyadron, hopefully you'll be able to edit the links in soon.
@muiriddin this sounds like you should be able to revive your tablet from your science experiment.
@fefifofum posting here instead of the other thread as that would be way off topic for it.
This sounds like we'll be able to do some proper experimenting and still be able to recover if it doesn't work!
Hopefully I will be able to post the links soon. Does anyone know the minimum number of posts required to post links?

This thread should probably be pinned. You can request the moderators to do so by "reporting" your first post and ask them there. Too bad, as far as I know, there aren't any TOTs available for the VK810, although I haven't needed one yet.
I used the tutorial, but accuses ero Emmec test fails
Any solution?

Unless there is a hardware problem with the emmc, it should work.
Try and remove the battery and put it back again.
Please also make sure you follow the steps as described.

Read everything you can and follow instructions.
I think you'll need to search further than just this thread though. I read about someone recovering an LG device from this state but I think it was a phone.
But you'll need to find it and follow the instructions, I don't remember where I read it.
