As far as i know, Xposed is the only way for it. Or if you are okay, yiu can just switch roms. I recommend DarkCM 4.4.4 since it has the option to disable fullscreen keyboard.

Hey i'm just trying to up this thread because i got the same issue !
Anybody can help me ?
Thanks !
wanamlite is also close to stock. multiwindows is the reason i switched to it ^^ and he always keeps updates coming. at least he did so with galaxy s2 so i dont think he'll drop the project at some stage (even though it could happen ofc)

Hey Guys,
I recently bought new sony livesound headphones for my xperia pro mk16i and the headphones have got a "livekey" which should be capable of starting apps and other stuff. However it doesn't work at all. No options when I click and/or hold the livekey. Otherwise the volume keys and the middle key for pausing and playing music do work.
In case it's important: I am using the Ultimate HD 2.0.3 ROM by jader and the arcknight kernel for xperia pro.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Probably ROM or kernel have no such support for the key.
Thanks, but...

Thanks, but how do I figure out which one is the problem? I already asked this question in the Q&A thread for the ROM I use, but nobody answered.
I would really appreciate any help in finding the cause of the livekey issue!

It's the Rom's problem. The app needed for livekey to work is removed as bloatware.

If you're on an AOSP rom, it will probably never work. You'll need a stock rom. It's like the galaxy s3's ability to call whoever is on your screen by holding your phone to your face. It's a feature of the stock rom.
Sent from a galaxy far far away.
stock based enough?

AW: [Q] How to make the livekey work?
i don't think so. either you enjoy custom rom, or you enjoy the livekey

Hey @Notorious - Would it be possible for you to reopen your thread for us users who try to use it? I think you left us with a really good base product, and it would be interesting to see if other users found kernels/tweaks/ect to make it work a little better on our phones... If not, its cool too...Just thought it'd be nice to have a place to continue it...

We would Greatly appreciate if you could please continue your work and meanwhile we will also try to co-operate as always and will make it better together. Also recently I got MIUI V5 Original and themed Camera apk and it was quiet working, the thing which was broken was continuous auto focus on Video mode and ironically continuous focus on Still camera, tho it takes images and videos successfully at full size, I wish i could share it with you . Your MIUI v5 port is very successful and very stable and also very much needed one too.
We request you from our heart, We need you, Please do not leave developing it.
We will be grateful to you!

Yes, My bad. But please do not leave your such wonderful 4.1 port We love your this affrod and hardwork
Also I've got some screens and MIUI V5 Orignal Camera tested by me works very well but there are few little bugs:
I'm Also including Camera apk in attechment for those who want to try
bugs: No panorama,No continuous auto focus in video recording, and auto focus loop in Still mode.No touch to focus. tho images and video are able to be taken in full resolution.
And also to mention Its really Snappy and fast!
Apart from it @Notorious, Im very Thankful to you for bringing such beautiful rom to our device. Thank you sooo much. You're a Legend :fingers-crossed:

i used to running stock rom last time but i found that my phone lags most of time especially when i scrolled down the status bar.
so i flashed cm10.
im hoping that somebody in xda dev can port "enable call recording" to cm10 just like Miui

if you want what you want, make it your self, or settle with the stock rom,
i prefer the stock rom because of its ram management, besides the status bar lag, but thats only because of how stuff is rendered

Hello Guys,
I've been trying some ROMS, and settled with an ICS one for now, but every now and then, the phone just hangs and restarts. I heard that the KitKat is way better than ICS and JB. Anyone got any clue when we will be seeing the Android 4.4 for our beloved phones?
I'm looking for a version that has Arabic keyboard. Also the hardware keyboard should support Arabic like my stock ROM did.
