Guys, in sleep mode, even with WiFi & Auto Sync OFF, the battery drains almost 10% through the whole night.
Last night it drained from 99% to 91% through the night without any usage.
Can someone throw some light on this issue?

2 possible scenarios: 1. You just sleep to much 2. You have a app installed (taskmanager battery saver?) that dont let your HOX sleep well

I have installed a battery widget app from the market. Do you think this is what is causing the drain?

If it is just a widget and not a battery saver, then no, i dont think so. Are you sure it is just a widget?
Do you have some other system-tuner-apps installed ?

Yep; all it is, is a battery widget that I installed from the market. Here is the link:

I don't believe so. I am not rooted and running stock everything.
EDIT: Oh, wait a minute. I just went through the list of apps that I've downloaded, and I have an app called Lookout. Here is the link:

Any similar free apps?
Hello, betterbatterystats is one of the most useful apps to check what drains your battery.
Basically you only check "Process wakelocks" and see which application "wakes" too often your phone.
Charge your phone and just before going to sleep, remove the charger.
BetterBatteryStats will take this action to start logging wakelocks ( default behaviour )
and in the morning, open BBS and see what process use too many wakelocks.

@DanRZ, eyosen, thanks; however, I've never paid for apps. Isn't there something similar in the market, that does almost the same job as BBS?

Did a quick check but didn't see one.
I strongly believe paying for applications that really add value to your phone to help developers continue their apps. Compared to the time you save by finding out which app is consuming battery the price tag of the applications is next to nothing.
I used betterybatterystats and it showed me that bluetooth was enabled. No where else did it show this, i restarted the phone and its no longer enabled. worth downloading if you have issues with the battery!

why 2 threads?
Anyway, it happens the same with me. I wouldn't be so worried about it. If your battery isn't flat and your battery drain seems normal for the usage you give everything is fine. Must be some thing related to the kernel

How to fix that ? haha what to do with your confirmed haha
As far as i remember, this thing doesn't only happens on cm11 but also with the previous cm10 or cm10.1. Someone asked about it and was answered (i can't remember who exactly, either @Madridii, @HURSTky @honeyx etc.) that it was normal. I think it's something about battery optimization or whattf

Prubably it was me Yes this is normal as on reboot many things are getting reset (whiped) so the ROM is loosing the exact information about the procentage and calculates it by looking at the battery voltage. This calculation is some kind of guessing and can´t be accurate. You will get more accurate readings after a while or by fully charging the battery.

friends after a lot of experiments i got the solution to get max battery life EASY
follow the steps :
1)go to apps in settings
2)swipe right to all tab
3)now DISABLE the following apps: assist,device management(if not set as admin),google+, M boot service,M checkin,M contextual services,M ota,M services
4)tada u can see difference then
these apps were main battery hogs dont worry nothing willbe wrong i have tested it for month and then posted it
i will try bro
You should not disable Motorola OTA and Motorola Services because after that you dont geht OTA Updates.
I disabled all of the other Apps and i think its Working

What version of android are you running? When I was on stock 4.4.2 I had great battery life. Now that I'm on stock 4.4.3 my battery is crap. I hardly use my moto g anymore because of this.

Does Battery Saver mode just disables data connection?
If so we can switch data off manually.

I highly recommend aerokernel. The 21 july release and leave the settings untouched
I tried aero but had reboots like crazy so foe now i'm off.I will install faux kernel, for me its the best.
Trying it out now : P
Will report back
If your rooted you don't need OTA's.
Maybe you should show us some proof
some more tips
use greenify and ds battery saver app
on ds battery saver keep profile to slumbeerer
by using these two ur battery life will be improved
and also remove unnecessary and unuseful apps
reduce screen time out and use low brightness :silly:
all these will helps in improving battery
hit thanks if it is useful
Hello to all of the awesome xda members out there!
I was wondering why do I seem to have an excessive use of the GPS in the Android System process? I went through every setting I could have think about and disabled it, but despite all of my efforts, it stayed the same. It is draining the battery quite drastically And I would really like to find a solution to this...
Thx in advance!
